We had a leaking sprinkler head, which had caused water damage to an area of the garage. We shut off the water and had to work with a mitigation team to remove the wet dry wall and the ceiling around the sprinkler head to confirm the leak was coming from the sprinkler head itself. It was a stressful situation for someone encountering this type of a situation for the first time. Smart Fire Protection said they can come out to the house same day, which I really appreciated. The rate was higher than expected but I figured it is due to weekend pricing, and it was not unreasonable. We wanted to get the water turned back on sooner vs. waiting until Monday. Jose was professional and courteous and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. I learned a lot about the sprinkler system. He replaced the sprinkler head, checked the pressure gauge, pointed out some calcifications in the pipes to keep an eye on. He flushed and recharged the system and recommended we check back in for an inspection of the overall sprinkler system throughout the house later in the year. He failed at Summit Fire Protection from Jan 2018-Sept 2023 and somehow when replaced at Summit Fire found a home at Olympic West Fire. Sometimes it's not what you know it's who you know in this industry. I have worked with Impact Fire and Dalmatian Fire in the past and would try these two companies before Olympic West Fire Protection. Everyone has a personal preference when it comes to using a fire safety company to install fire panels, backflow units etc, so if this company has treated you well that is great, people just need to know there are a lot of fire companies out there that would compete for your business.
