Throughout both experiences, Matt came promptly, even late one evening within an hour of me calling him. The first time I was made aware of the leak, I was out of town and was forced to arrange restoration from Chicago. Matt and his whole team were amazing through this process and were even more communicative through phone and text messages so I would not have to worry, and calling me and letting me know timeframes they would arrive. The second time I was home and got to meet the whole team and they were awesome! With the 2nd leak, which was a neighbor refusing to cover the damages, they were super patient with payment, looping my litigation team in, and providing competitive pricing. In addition to their restoration team, Tiffany from the main office and billing department was super hands-on and quick to return my calls. Leaks suck, but call them, cause they don't suck. :]

Smart Fire Protection promptly responded to my request for service on YELP on a Saturday and…read moreprovided a fast quote. We had a leaking sprinkler head, which had caused water damage to an area of the garage. We shut off the water and had to work with a mitigation team to remove the wet dry wall and the ceiling around the sprinkler head to confirm the leak was coming from the sprinkler head itself. It was a stressful situation for someone encountering this type of a situation for the first time. Smart Fire Protection said they can come out to the house same day, which I really appreciated. The rate was higher than expected but I figured it is due to weekend pricing, and it was not unreasonable. We wanted to get the water turned back on sooner vs. waiting until Monday. Jose was professional and courteous and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. I learned a lot about the sprinkler system. He replaced the sprinkler head, checked the pressure gauge, pointed out some calcifications in the pipes to keep an eye on. He flushed and recharged the system and recommended we check back in for an inspection of the overall sprinkler system throughout the house later in the year. Overall a great experience and worth recommending!

No one wants to worry about potential water damage or mold development in their home. We were…read moreconcerned about water penetrating our drywall after a shower flooded into our bathroom and adjoining bedrooms. Since we were unable to detach the baseboards ourselves, we decided to have a professional come out to check for water damage. After spending almost an hour reading through Yelp reviews of restoration companies, I decided on PureTec and called for an appointment. Chris answered the phone and was very pleasant and courteous. He explained that there was no fee for the consultation and told me he would find someone near my area that would reach out to me soon. Within 30 minutes I received a voicemail (which I missed) and subsequently a text from Justice giving me a heads up that they would arrive at my home in 50 minutes. Justice and Avery showed up on time and were very polite, professional and respectful (with shoe covers in hand, for which I am always grateful). Avery checked for moisture all around the bathroom and two bedrooms and determined that there were no issues (fortunately, we were proactive with dryers when we first encountered the situation). Justice offered to pull a small piece of baseboard from the wall that was partially torn away if it would make us more comfortable with their moisture reading determination but we were relieved by and thankful for the results. This first experience with PureTec Restoration was great all-around. This is how every business should be run. We will definitely call them if needed in the future (as well as recommend them to others).

Extremely disappointing experience -- would not recommend!…read more Our family has been dealing with ongoing air conditioning issues since August 21, 2025, and after seven service visits, we are still dealing with repeated repair problems. Our experience with Matrix Plumbing and Mechanical has been incredibly frustrating. Every visit has required us to rearrange our schedules, take time off work, make accommodations for our dog, and be home for technicians. On multiple occasions, repairs have seemingly created additional problems that required another service call the very next day or within just a few days. One of the worst experiences was when our home reached 97 degrees. I was specifically told to take the day off work to be home for the appointment, only for the technician to arrive at 6 p.m. I was newly pregnant at the time, and the extreme heat caused significant concern for my well-being. I lost an entire day waiting for a service that should have been handled professionally and efficiently. To make matters worse, yesterday's service visit actually left us in a worse situation than before. Since Matrix installed our new AC unit in July, our indoor fan has been running constantly. We scheduled service to address this issue, but after the technician's visit, both our fan and our air conditioning were turned off. As a result, our son's bedroom reached 85 degrees last night. After everything our family has already been through, it is incredibly frustrating that an appointment intended to fix a problem has left us without functioning air conditioning. During yesterday's visit, our technician also had to leave twice to purchase parts and spent over three hours at our home. After so many service calls, we expected the issue to be properly diagnosed and resolved, not made worse. The amount of time, stress, and inconvenience this has caused our family is unbelievable. We have been patient and cooperative throughout this process, but seven service visits, repeated repair issues, and continued problems spanning more than a year are simply unacceptable. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Matrix Plumbing and Mechanical. We expected professional service, reliable repairs, and accountability. Unfortunately, that is not what we have received.

So, when the kitchen sink was beginning to drain very slowly, we called and requested to schedule hydro-jetting with AZ's best. Shaq arrived and explained that the issue would likely remain and hydro-jetting was not advised, but that installing a vent would solve the problem. We made the mistake of avoiding his advice and proceeding with hydro-jetting. Unsurprisingly, the issue remained and the slow drain began to guconstantly. We called Shaq and scheduled to have a vent installed, which ended up fully resolving the issue. Since then, we sold our previous home and purchased a new one. We had Shaq install a new tankless water heater to replace a 16-year-old 75k gallon and are very pleased with the result. Overall, I would highly recommend AZ's best for solid work at a reasonable cost.

I've used AZ Best Pipe Plumbing Dr before and had a great experience. The 2nd time I asked how much…read moreit would cost to replace/install a water heater. Chris the owner said he would send someone to do an estimate and did not tell me once there would be a service fee $182. Matt came and did an estimate and advised me it would be $500 to install a new water heater if I purchased one. Then he said he said the $182 would be used towards the install if I did it within 2 weeks. When I got the actual estimate it said it was $650 cost, which was not what I was told. 2 days later Chris the owner came and did the water heater install. He did do a good job until he charged me the $650 and would not use the $182 as a credit which is what I was told by Matt. He said that the $182 was a service fee to tell me what the issue was and that was a cost for his plumber to do an estimate and gas cost. I advised him that I already knew what the issue was which is why I asked him in the beginning what the cost would be to install a water heater which would have saved the plumber the trip. He only used some of the money from the service fee instead of all that I was advised would be used. Versus honoring what I was told for the incorrect cost of the install, in addition to using the full $182 service fee towards the actual service you lost a customer. Next time be honest and transparent about your costs. Do not price gauge your customers and back pedal on what was actually told by your employees.
