I don't know why complaints and yelpers have expectations as theres but this company has always gone above and beyond. working at previous highly respected company as a supervisor I worked with these guys and they have always went above and beyond. always on time, thorough, reasonable prices and dealing with new company heads who I work for now can be difficult but they are patient and understanding to tighter budgets etc. every crew who comes out always have positive attitudes, professional and are easy to deal with. Even the younger guys with less experience have patience and are educated in what they do... This company bills you for their mistakes. Trip charges, not understanding the equipment, not understanding messages from the fire alarm systems all will be your very very expensive problem. When you call in and ask for an explanation, the personnel are clue less and unable to assist with what you are being billed for. The best they can do is read the invoice, but beyond that they are of no assistance. For the price this company charges, there has to be other companies available that have competent personnel. The technicians do not go above and beyond except to make numerous expensive trips to your address. read more

Poor quality with many jobs needing repeating or correcting. Redundant, excessive billing. Technicians who know only 1 part of complex equipment - necessitating multiple trips/charges. In one case they sent out a technician who had told me on a previous visit that he didn't know how to fix the problem? Do not hire this company - - there are many other choices. read more

The next day, after I put a temporary fix in place, they came out and fixed it permanently. I guess the supervisor didn't fully understand the situation as I explained it to the woman in the backflow department who answered the phone. They came through for me, so I'm changing my rating to reflect that. read more

I haven't used your service but your employees are amazing!! I had a flat tire and Sergio Fuentes and Adam Thompson stopped to help me! My spare was low and they even took it to add air so that I would be safe getting to the place for a new tire. Tuesday morning around 9:00AM turning right onto the I 10 ramp off of 75th ave and a Metro Fire Equipment truck turning left onto the ramp started blaring on his horn because he couldn't stay in his lane. He then cut me off on the ramp and then cut off the box truck that was ahead of him in the turn lane. He sped down the ramp onto the merge lane and used the dive bomb technique to cross three lanes with no signal. Then I saw him weave in and out of traffic cutting off anyone in his way. So if you are looking for fire equipment in a rush and do not care about courtesy or the safety of others, this is your go to! 5 black stars for this company read more

From beginning to end, a terrible customer service experience. I asked for a quote through their website for a KnoxBox access system and two days later received no response. I called to ask for someone to respond and still heard nothing. Another phone call and I finally received an email. I was required to fill out a form asking for credit information and other information that seemed unnecessary. My company has an account with MF for inspecting extinguishers and sprinklers so I thought we would be able to add a KnoxBox to the account. I checked with their credit manager who assured me that our account was up to date and there should be no problem. When I received the agreement to sign, COD was indicated as the required payment; I was told that only large installation jobs could purchase on credit. To boot, the price sent with the agreement was different than originally quoted. They were good enough to honor the original quote, so I signed the agreement for a will call pick up. When I arrived the next day to pick, and pay for, the KnoxBox, the receptionist couldn't find any information about the purchase (she was nice and tried to soften my annoyed demeanor. She called Lyne Barber, the Knox CSR who told her she missed my email. What should have been a simple purchase turned into nearly a week of annoyance. read more

Travis is probably Metro Fire's shining example of amazing customer service. Our childcare facility was up for our annual visit to have all of our signs and extinguishers checked/ serviced. Travis took the time to verify each extinguisher was checked and was correct for our professional needs. He was actually the ONLY technician to ever ask to see the extinguishers in the van's, we use for transportation. I was sincerely impressed he knew to ask for them, most companies miss these and have to return. He was so thorough & detail oriented. I know when the Fire Marshall comes out for our inspection I have nothing to worry about. As we had previously inquired about their services, they were sending us follow up emails asking to earn our business. Decided to reach back out to them and provided them with detailed information regarding our project and asked for quotes using 3-4 different systems. Their first response was immediate, which was great. However from there on, it took 6 days to get additional answers regarding our request. We had to reach back out to follow up on our last communication, only to hear back that they are too busy to stop and organize quotes for us. I totally understand if they are too busy and can't take on any additional clients. We just weren't' happy about having our time wasted for over a week, when they could've just explained their current situation from the beginning. read more

I procured the services of Bill and Metro for a butterfly valve replacement on the pre-action system at the facility I manage. I can't say enough good things about my experience. The tech was on-time, was extremely knowledge, and very clean with this work. I shadowed during the entire process and was explained how the system works, why he (the tech) was doing the things he was doing, and what to do in an emergency situation. The trucks they roll in are BA. It's like a shop in the field: pipe cutters, pipe benders, threaders, vice, almost every type and size of pipe needed on a suppression system, gaskets, couplings, etc. In an industry where it's difficult to get good service and a high quality of deliverability it's nice to know I can count on Metro when it comes to a vital facility infrastructure. I have also procured their services for annual T&I and hydro testing. I will update once that job is complete. read more

BEWARE! I'd give 0 stars if allowed. Called them on a Saturday afternoon for a fire sprinkler drip. First thing I said is "This actually doesn't qualify as an emergency but I have a fire sprinkler dripping about one drop every 20 seconds." Spoke to both the dispatcher and the tech who never mentioned anything about after-hour charges, never mentioned anything about any charges. Tech fixed it within about 15 - 20 minutes. When I asked for a bill he said "I don't get involved with that." I pressed him for an answer and he said that it's about $135 for the call with a three hour minimum. When I asked him why both the dispatcher and himself never mentioned anything about those extra charges he just apologized, said they should have, and said to call the office Monday, they will resolve it. Called the office Monday, asked to speak with the owner but the office staff said she'd contact the manager. The office staff rep and the manager both agreed that I should have been made aware of charges before the service call. Manager relayed the message that because of the mistake they agreed to a reduction to a 2 hour minimum. They said they'd bill my HOA (who doesn't cover the expense). I asked for a copy to be emailed to me but still have not received a statement of charges. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General and BBB. read more

I took my home fire extinguisher in to get it recharged, and I was in and out in about 10 minutes!! Very reasonable price - the secretary was very cordial and likewise the guy who did the recharge was very courteous. I would highly recommend Metro Fire Equipment to people who need to get their home fire extinguishers recharged. Many of these companies only work with other businesses or schools, and not individual patrons like myself. read more
