    Breaded fish
    Tom B.

SLOW service, inaccurate menu. Arrived Friday night just before six. Crowded and noisy. Waited about 10 minutes before server stopped to take our drink order. She returned and dropped it off and I started to say "We're ready to order" but she was already gone. Might have been end of her shift but we never saw her again. After waiting 30 minutes with no staff (only 2 people working front of house) even getting close we went to bar to order. The menu said "battered cod" so ordered that. Food came out in about 15 minutes. Fish was breaded, not battered. Yes it matters. You can get breaded fish anywhere. Good battered fish is a whole different thing. This fish was fine for what it was. After finishing, waited another 30 minutes with no service so went to bar to pay. By that time place was nearly deserted. Wanted to return for Monday "all you can eat Dungeness crab" but not if I have to wait 30 minutes for each refill. We're done.

Never have I had nachos with homemade tortilla chips. Fun surprise. Highly recommended!

Great meal again! Food is always fresh and hot. Service is always good. I'd def recommend the taters over the fries, but you can't go wrong with either.

Good place for pool and drinks. The beer, fries, tater tots and the pool tables. What we did not like were the Nachos where the cheese was not pleasing and the cocktails. The staff were nice and probably short staffed which delayed the orders.

The heavenly aroma of freshly prepared food wafted through the air, teasing our senses and building excitement while the cozy decor instantly elevated our mood. Despite arriving at 1:00 to a lively crowd, we were seated promptly, thanks to the impeccable and exceptional service. Our server's remarkable attentiveness and expertise set the tone for a truly unforgettable meal, and another staff member exceeded our expectations, sharing delightful stories about all their special events, such as Happy Hour and Wine Wednesday, and inviting us back for dinner. She shared that the biscuits we inquired about were made in-house, a testament to the restaurant's pursuit of excellence. With customer service that inspires and leaves a lasting impression, we can't wait to return and relish the experience once more. Service was notably much more welcoming, the interior & vibe remained on point. The College Friend and birthday celebrant went all out and had the Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries. The fruit compote was so delicious, the maple syrup was a bit of an afterthought. So contrary to my previous review, I did return albeit 6.5 years later. Apparently they "stopped doing that" in September, which was unclear from their website or Yelp reviews/pics, and it wasn't just me--the table next to me asked their server the same thing. My friend and I got brunch-y drinks (mimosa, spicy Bloody Mary), and then each got one of the only two items on the menu that had eggs (shakshuka and a breakfast sandwich). While I can't comment on the shakshuka, the breakfast sandwich had thick bread that was toasted a bit too much and wrecked the roof of my mouth. The drinks were good but the sandwich + a mimosa set me back $30 before tip so I don't think I'll be coming back again--certainly not during "brunch" time!

The outdoor seating is well heated and feels connected to the atmosphere of the town. The service was friendly and efficient. Now, the bad. The food is overpriced. The bellinis barely had any detectable alcohol in them. And the kicker was that the waitress offered us pastries upon greeting us without telling us they cost $7, and the menu did not say there was any charge for bread. This is literally illegal in Washington state, and if there are any consumer lawyers reading this, there are 100% certainly grounds for a class action lawsuit here. As a hotel guest, I was gravely disappointed. There were no extra accommodations or amenities. There was not an easily accessible ice machine, you had to go into a restaurant flag down staff and have them fill up your ice bucket; but only available during business hours. Coffee and hot water were only available during a short time period in the morning, outside of that time period you had to go to a restaurant and purchase coffee or tea. The king sized bed room I stayed in had plenty of room to accommodate an in room coffee/ tea bar with hot kettle. On Friday and Saturday nights, be prepared to have non-hotel guests walking throughout the building in order to visit the hidden speakeasy "The Principals Office," which by the way would be a great spot for an ice machine and drinks or snacks for hotel guests. As a woman, staying in a room by myself, it was unnerving having the main doors open to any and all. Additionally, it was sad to see that the hotel market was filled more with knic knacks and McMenimens commercialized products rather than items a hotel guest would need. Would I stay at another McMenimens hotel? Only if it's convenient, sadly I would not go out of my way. The grounds and gardens are beautiful at this location and it is a great stop for wandering around or bar hopping.

We got the Cuban pork hash, ham hash (from the specials menu), corned beef hash, and breakfast burrito. The potatoes were unique because they were neither crispy but they weren't mushy either and very nicely fluffy inside. Also very well seasoned! The eggs were perfectly done and oozy, the hollandaise sauce was light, more so added for extra creaminess. I'm not usually the biggest fan of hollandaise sauce as I find it sometimes too heavy but this was less rich which was nice. The breakfast burrito was tasty, nice amount of filling. I enjoyed the cubes of ham and how it wasn't overly salty. Definitely eat with hot sauce and some black pepper. I think it would get a little mundane if you were to eat the whole thing yourself but it's not bad. The banana bread donut isn't really a donut. More so a banana bread Bundt cake. It was nice, slightly sweet with what tasted like whipped browned butter.
