Great customer service at this place. Went with a large group so we reserved tables. Some items were sold out but zero complaints about the food. Excellent beer selection, even the N/A beer was good. Stairs are sketchy & carpeted which kinda reminded me of folks who out carpet in bathrooms; carpet in a brew-pub isn't ideal. They have patio seating so we'll do that next time. read more

Went here with a friend. Service was great, but after that things didn't go so well. I ordered the brisket mac n cheese, which the brisket was OK but the Mac was inedible. No flavor and a chalky texture. My friend got the buffalo chicken sandwich, which she said was good but messy. The place itself looked a bit rundown and haphazard. Only 1 TV in the whole place. It is nice that they bring the food to your table (since you order at counter). However, ice machine was down, out of sour cream, some soda was out. Overall I would not likely come here again. Thompson Brewing is located in Riverside off Indiana inside a commercial building (their logo can be hard to see from the street - it will be on the front door). There is plenty of parking out front. You will find both indoor and outdoor seating here with low top tables. Ordering takes place inside at their front counter. If you choose to sit outside, it is in the back where they have setup artificial grass, Picnic tables with umbrellas and heater lamps - best part? The patio is dog friendly making this the perfect place for any dog PAWrents ;) Service is extremely friendly and so helpful if you have questions! The food here is award winning so you can't go wrong but I highly recommend the pub burger ! They only use wagyu beef and WOW. One of the best burgers I've had ever !!! I paired it with the truffle fries which were perfectly cooked by the way ! The Mess came in at a very close second and the brisket taco was phenomenal!! They also taking reservations for large parties and catering. There are multiple family games setup around the brewery for you and the family like uno, connect four and scrabble. As you walk into the front door, there are two separate lines, one is designated for drinks and the other is designated for food and drinks. After placing our order, we had choices to sit upstairs in a game room area or out back in the outdoor patio area where we were greeted by a band playing St. Paddy's Day music. The beans and fries were cold. The Mexican corn salad almost frozen. We frequent the brewery and every time we are greeted by the nicest people. Every employee is friendly and always helpful. The happiness of visiting an establishment who welcomes our dog is a feeling we cannot explain. I have not had a food dish that was bad, enjoyed all of them. The actually sitting areas offer all experiences. You can be inside, outside on the patio, or sit in the brewery room and look at all the patrons basking in the open air. When we got there it wasn't too busy which was nice because this place can get crowded . I ordered the brisket sandwich with the beans and the Mac and cheese . I also got a boozy slushy because why not . Overall the food came out pretty quick and they delivered it to our table . The brisket sandwich was juicy and flavorful and they were stingy with the pickles or the onions . The baked beans were amazing and they had good flavor to them and chunks of meat in them . The Mac and cheese to me tasted okay . I have had it before and it was super yummy but this time it dindt taste the same . I ordered the Game Day platter appetizer... simple and basic and cold. my sister ordered fries aside from the fries I got on the platter and those were much saltier compared to the platter fries. I ordered a beer flight after I had asked about the slushie/soft serve flight which was not given much of an explanation (she was atleast friendly) after I said that was my first time there so I stuck with a beer flight because I know beer.... beers were not great and warm. my sister separately ordered a slushie/soft serve flight and received a similar explanation of the slushie flight by another cashier but received it with more of an attitude. one of their slushie machines was down so they were only served 4 slushie drinks with their flight but charged for a 6 beer flight. when we compared receipts after finishing up I noticed we were charged the same amount but for different items so my sister politely asked a girl who was clearing out tables by us why she may have been charged that way. the girl went downstairs to ask the cashiers our concerns and questions (she also was super nice and trying to help) but when the cashier was, i'm assuming annoyed speaking to her, came to the upstairs seating area to speak to us herself and approached us with an aggressive manner. we did not like her tone so we were just going to leave it as that and leave. the previous girl who was trying to answer our questions came and said "I hope she was able to answer your questions and help out" I said "she did not but that's ok." she offered the owner and I said "no thank you". 10-15 mins later I noticed a family next to us had a 6 drink slushie flight which was confusing since my sister only received 4 on her flight. I decided to ask them how much they were charged for those flights. one said she was charged 15 for the 6 slushes and the other (same party of people) was charged 30 but was also told one of the slush machines were down so it was confusing again how they received 6 drinks when my sister received 4 and now there has been 3 different pricing. At that same moment a different cashier associate approached our table and spoke to my sister about this situation again. we did not ask for another explanation or ask to speak to anyone else after the poor attitude experience. she explained what we have already been told and we were giving a "free drink ticket" OR a free dessert to make up for our poor experience. if you have ever worked in the service industry you know a drink vs a dessert is not the same price. we declined and I let her know how the table next to us received more drinks and two different prices. all this to say I will never return to this brewery and I would never recommend it to anyone. false advertisement, bad service, bad quality of food and drinks. The drinks are great, and the food is even better. The service was top notch as well, they even gave me a free drink to celebrate my birthday. This is a brewery that has some food. The focus is beer not food. Huge beer menu. Large amount of merchandise as well. Located in an industrial park the layout is not cohesive. They have 4 different areas to choose from. All different and all separate. The upstairs area has added arcade games. Downstairs has a family table at the order counter. There's a back inside area with air hockey and they have a large outside area with a corral full of picnic tables on astroturf with corn hole. The staff is very nice. No table service. You order at the counter. And they have a self service soda machine with no national brand of soda's. But they do deliver your food to the table. Tipping is done upfront when you order and I bussed my own table after. The menu on Yelp is not at all accurate. The menu on their website is kinda confusing. Example the California burrito on line shows $10.75 bit thats the price without meat. I ordered the brisket jam burger it's a double burger, it doesn't say that, I added lettuce and pickles and a side of Mac and cheese- no drink and it ended up over $30 with the tip. This just is not worth it. And they don't ask how you want it cooked. This is really expensive. read more

This place is amazing. My husband and I planned a quick wedding and let me tell you Martha was very helpful, courteous and very accommodating. We didn't want a party we just wanted to find a local spot where we can go eat with our family and friends after the ceremony. We have a big family and Thompsons brewery was the only local spot that was able to accommodate all 100 of our guests. Martha was so easy going, responded quickly to all emails. Working with her to reserve part of her space made everything easy. The food was amazing and the service was great. Wendy was the one in charge of our evening and she was always available to make sure everything was taken care of all night. Our wedding was celebrated there January 9 2026 and the brewery has a live band that night. Which was also fun to have as entertainment. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable.
