Had an amazing time here. Great food. Great beer. Friendly staff. Family owned and operated. Support these folks because we need more small business like this in the world! read more

Gem of a gastropub/brewery. They have good beer, great pub food, nice decor, and a wide variety of card games available for patrons to entertain themselves with. The family that owns and runs the place are friendly, welcoming, and informative. Definitely worth checking out whether you're a beer nerd, a foody, or just looking to support a local spot. read more

My bf and I live around the corner from this place and we were so excited that a brewery opened so close by. They have a bunch of games already out on the tables for anyone to use, which is amazing as we love board games. Their beer is delicious, as is their food. I ordered the Black Current and cheesey sauce brat and he ordered the Ginger and pub burger, everything was great. The staff is super sweet and helpful too, we will definitely be back! read more

Really nice place. Service was great, food was awesome and the beer.....top notch! There were too many kids running around but after a couple of beers you zone them out. Keep up the great work, my wife and I will be back. read more

Pretty good beer, awesome and super friendly staff who don't mind telling you the history of their place over and over, which I assume they do daily. They usually have 4 different brews on tap so you'll have to check every couple of weeks for new stuff. A little hard to find since its set in an industrial park but it's worth the search! read more

I love finding hole in the wall breweries that actually care about the customers input. They let you sample and choose what you want to drink and carry a good conversation. Family owned and very friendly. No food but great beer and staff. I would definitely recommend this place. They have many games to keep you entertained like darts, uno, cards, battleships, bop it, and ping pong. Check it out! Worth your while. fairly priced read more

Got our growler filled tonight and wished we had come in earlier. The owners are so friendly we should go in earlier to enjoy a casual brew on the premises . we truly like the beer and the atmosphere. Can't wait to come back again read more

Super friendly and helpful as I learned about beer! My second time drinking and they helped me and walked me thru what I might like. They were so great. read more

Keep confronting your customers that are in the brewing community who are critiquing your brew... flat to say the least...

Brian (the owner) was very personable and polite. The beer is really good! I would very much recommend the Munich! Hard to find in industrial but well worth it! read more

This Is A Great Place! Friendly, Great Environment, Great Beer. Corn Beer Is Amazing! Stout Taste Great. Nut Brown Is Flavorful. Price Is Perfect. 5 Stars For Sure! Oh And The Service Is Above and Beyond Great. You Are Treated Like One Of The Family. read more

Great beer selection with a variety of fruity and hoppy beers. Love the intimate friendly feel. Looking forward to the new location.

They have great beer and I love their stout beer. Their oatmeal stout went down smooth.

Great gastropub and brewery. Locally run by a family (literally) who are super friendly and willing to help in any way. You feel like you have been invited into their home. For brewing aficionados the owner has a table set behind the kitchen area in brewing area to watch the behind the scenes process. There are tons of table games spread around the the bi-level restaurant and a rack of comic books to read while you wait. They serve decent craft burgers and sausages on pretzel buns and offer tater tots as an option!!! They serve several options of beer (brewed in house) and personal sized Sutter Home wine based on the customers palate as well as non-alcoholic beverages for the little ones or those who don't wish to drink. If you love it you can take some beer home with you. Leave your growler at home...they'll can 32 oz can of whichever beer you like right in front of you. If you like merch they have some too! Great place for group friends and families to enjoy a meal and something to drink. read more

Went on 10/5/2018. It was great. Not some fancy place but the food is awesome. Found it by watching Burroughs Bites on KTLA5 every Sat and Sunday. I agree with Chris Burroughs that the Pub Burger is excellent. Prices are very reasonable and 6ou get full. Will be back. read more

Three stars mainly due to atmosphere. Not a fan of Belgian beers and that seems to be their specialty however with that said if I was a fan of Belgian beers I would give it five stars because it was good. I especially liked the cranberry Belgian. We didn't order food but it looked really good. Not fond of the atmosphere at all. It's very sterile and I felt like I was sitting in an office breakroom. That definitely needs work. And I don't know how I feel about purchasing beer from a 12 year old. I understand it's family run but I wouldn't want my underage daughter manning a register at a brewery. read more

Thompson Brewing is back! Great opening weekend. Family owned and operated. Riverside brewing at its best.

What an awesome place ! We found a great deal on Groupon and decided to try it out for the first time. Excellent food, lots of yummy beer to try and wonderful friendly atmosphere that included great music and lots of board games. Will definitely be back :) read more

fun staff great food .. and mostly beer... thank you for the good services looking foreword to come back

Well, had my buddies post retirement get together there, it was great. As before, Thompson has great atmosphere for all, kid friendly. The staff was very helpful. O.K, now for the beer. AWESOME.....No "city water" taste anymore, everyone in our party loved the beers they had. Food? My chili cheese fries were very good. Fries were done just right, so as not to get soggy under the chili and cheese. Don't know what they coat them in, but were very tasty. Don't have the cucumbers anymore (DARN!), but, those fried pickle.....WHERE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE ! The wings are better now, bigger than when they first opened, fried just right. My wife had the vegan hamburger, and was impressed by the taste (she is hard to please!) For you non-alcohol folks, the cream soda was very popular in our group. I like both the root beer and the cream soda. Overall, gonna come back and try more of their foods, this will be one of my regular spots in Riverside. read more

I was conflicted on a score between four stars and five stars. Normally I consider larger brewery's like Stone or Pizza Port to be five stars, but then I took into account that this place can't be compared to a multi-million dollar brewery, it just wouldn't be fair. But, when rating them on what they actually are, I came to decide they deserve a five star rating. Small, friendly, down to earth, good beer; this is what a brewery should be. Thanks Thompson Brewery!!! read more

Best brewery in Riverside! Small yet fun and friendly. Food superb!! Beer variety the best! Our number one choice now even better than wicks. read more

You can't go wrong with great beer, good food and games for the kids! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Thompson's and my kids are already begging to go back! Such great spaces for the kids to play while the adults get to relax and talk! Great service from everyone. We'll be back! read more

Great little brewery! Stopped in on Saturday with my wife and a friend. Take the time to search them out. Brian and his wife are great people and their beers are top notch. Try the corn lager - heck, try any of them and you won't be disappointed. read more

One of the best experiences ever! Super welcoming environment and the family that owns the place is great! They want to get to know you and your opinions on their drinks. Great family fun. Kids area entertain my 4 year old for hours. My 7 year old son loved the old school board games. Food was enough and beer was good. I would call it a good Saturday read more

The 5 stars don't lie! Just left this place and and it lived up to the 5 stars. The beers are delicious. My favorite was the munich. They have a large variety to try. On top of having great beers they are really hospitable and make you feel like home. This place is a must try. read more

Every beer is delicious, my personal favorites are the Double IPA and the Cranberry Belgian triple. I get the Pub burger with jalapeño sauce and let me tell you.. it is literally the best burger I've ever had, everything fresh from the bacon to the pretzel bun. After having it, the whole next day that and the Cranberry Belgian was all I could think about. And if the beer and food weren't already excellent on their own, the environment is even better, it's like being at home but with more board games, better beer and better food. Brian, the owner is the best, he takes time to walk around and spend time with all his customers and treats them like family. Definitely the best brewery I've been to, and that's saying something. read more

I am really glad that we have something like this in Riverside. My fiance and I stumbled upon this place after we went to Yard House and it was so packed and such a long wait we grew impatient and ended up finding this place. The first time we went we ordered the potato salad and it was so delicious. The second time the potato salad wasn't as great. The chicken wings have always been good. I am from an area where good chicken wings are not hard to find. I have had trouble finding decent chicken wings all over southern California but I'm glad I finally found some good chicken wings nearby. It would be really cool if they amped up their selection of chicken wing sauces but I am just thankful regardless. Also, the staff is so nice. The owner is usually the one taking your order and he's even said things as nice as quote "you're free to be yourself." The staff always seems pretty accommodating. There are multiple areas of this place to sit you can sit upstairs, downstairs, in the brewing area, and on the patio. I really like the music that they play and the place just has a nice feel to it. It's just really open and clean. It has a new and laid-back feel. They also have the various types of games all around that you can play. We really want to take some of our friends here. It seems like a nice place to take family for lunch. Parking is also easy. I am also wishing it were open everyday! read more

Came for their 1 year anniversary and I plan on going back soon! And the oatmeal stout was amazing! If your looking for a nice cozy brewery with a good beer selection...this is a must visit spot read more

Always a great selection for whatever you're craving. We love the games and the family atmosphere. The beer could be a little colder, but the flavor makes up for that. I won't lie, the hot pink bathroom is really awesome. There are treats for designated drivers also. oh, and there are pretzels and a ping pong table too. The owners are really nice, you're sure to have a great time! read more

My friend and I took our kids to the water park in riverside and were going to head to the drive in theatres after. We wanted somewhere to stop and have a beer with dinner before the drive ins so we googled some near by brewery's and decided on Thompson brewing and boy were we glad we chose this one! My toddler was tired from a day at the water park and I was worried dinner would be stressful with her but thanks to the genius at Thompson brewing that wasn't the case at all, they have a corner perfect for toddlers to play! My daughter played with that playhouse nearly the entire time and she was in my direct view while I ate. The other kids played upstairs with the darts and other games, this is pure genius and so appreciated! All of this really allows you to enjoy the delicious food and beer in peace knowing your kids are having good, safe fun! Before we left we checked out the back and I was disappointed I didn't check it out sooner! So cool! As for the food, AMAZING! I had the macoroni crisp with the pulled pork and it was absolutely delicious. The two guys working were above top notch service. They really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and even though I was undecided and nervous because of the line behind me, they both assured me not to worry. I've never felt so comfortable and satisfied all around at any place! Great job Thompson brewing! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. read more

stumbled upon this brewery when I needed a place to hang out for about 20 minutes and loved all the beers I tried in my flight! there weren't too many people on a thursday evening except for a family and a few other ppl. saw a lot of board games in the tasting room and also checked out the brewery in the back, looked pretty cool! there's a table back there with jumbo jenga as well. tried a variety of beers from the honey blonde to the black IPA and actually wished i had brought both of my growler instead of just one (i just happened to have one in the car). i ended up getting 2 crowlers (imperial ginger and black hazy IPA) so i can share with other friends and a growler for myself (black hazy IPA). FYI i had gone to bottle logic in anaheim 2 weeks ago and didn't even get my growler filled because there just wasn't much i wanted there but here i wanted everything. the owner was super nice and friendly and his daughter's chocolate roasted barley cookies were pretty bomb, ended up taking home with two of those cookies. if we didn't have dinner plans already i would've eaten here too as their burgers and appetizers all sound really good. would definitely recommend this brewery and would come back again! read more
