What everyone needs; a block of granite with feet.

Great little bar off Main St, Mount Airy. Hand crafted beer with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Food is reasonably priced and very good. A little loud inside, but the patio outside was very pleasant. Will be returning soon.

So much food for very little money

This is really more like a 4.5 rating but I rounded up. I can only speak about the 2 times we've been in but they do seem to be understaffed by about one person each time we come. It doesn't seem to greatly impact their ability to serve food on time though, so thats good. Both times, there have been a lot of dishes piled on the bar. Seems like maybe they need someone to bus tables, clear plates, run food... ANYWAYS.. I love this pizza because it's light and flavorful and not overly cheesy. We were also happy with everything else we've gotten. The price is very competitive which is more and more important to patrons in the changing economic climate. We had beers, a pizza and everything you see pictured for around $50.

Great laid back atmosphere with a great selection of beer. Pizza was great. Will be back!!

Another great evening at Thirsty Souls. Excellent beer. They also have a good wine selection. Pizza was fresh and delicious. Friendly bartenders. Open space for different seating options. Great visit and worth a stop.

On our weekend to explore Mount Airy, Mrs. K. requested "fish" and it's my job to find a way to make that happen. So I did the searching and found that Thirsty Souls has a pizza with smoked salmon on it. That qualifies. Parking on the street, we had a choice of tables in the pub. I ordered drinks and pizza. Ten minutes later (and half my beer gone) the buzzer did its thing and we're tearing into "The Thirsty Fish" with smoked salmon, onions and goat cheese. A lovely and comfy spot with pizza and other bar food, some tasty brews (the Czech It Out is a lovely pilsner) and the sort of peaceable vibe where you can relax. Five stars. Flight!
Ruby S.

The perfect Friday night spot! We stopped in ordered our flight of beer then sat outside until we ordered our pizza. This night it took about 30-45m for the pizzas to come out so be mindful when ordered. Also the pizzas are thin (in a good way) I'm pretty sure we could've eaten two! The beer was great, we got 2 flights just to try a variety. A lemon/lavender cider was on special and was so good! The staff was super nice. The vibe is super casual. Family friendly, especially the outside area there's so much to do! I absolutely loved spending our evening here.

This was a wonderful place to wile away a Friday early evening. My friend and I had a flight each and especially enjoyed the Passion Guava Gose. We shared the roasted cauliflower (this should be offered on a pizza! So good!) and a Quattro Stagioni pizza. Nice vibe and friendly staff. It was a perfect Friday place for our little getaway to Mt. Airy.

Stopped by on a Friday night for beers and dinner. Place was pretty busy and staff were not prepared for the number of patrons from what I gathered. It took an exorbitant amount of time waiting in line to order. Sadly, the bartenders made zero effort to acknowledge our presence while standing directly in front of them waiting patiently. Just poor customer service, ya know? The pizza was just okay. The beers were good. I really liked the fake news re-Porter and the mango IPA. I would rate it higher but the customer service was a real detractor. We also got moved out of our table when the lone musician arrived. Thirsty Souls should have a dedicated space for their entertainers that doesn't impede on their seating. Come on yall.

Funky little spot in the social district of downtown Mt Airy. This place had really chill vibes. Tonight we came for a bite and some beers. My husband had the Arsways Irish Ale, it was a good amber; he said a lime would have really made it. I tried the Naughty Lavender Hibiscus. I am a lavender freak and I really did enjoy this brew! Not too sweet and a tartness I actually liked. For the bites, our pizzas we ordered were The Cheese, The Meat, and The Thirsty Fish. These were all pretty tasty. They had a very thin crust. My favorite was The Thirsty Fish; smoked salmon, olive oil, capers, onions, and goat cheese. My only complaints about the food is that it wasn't as hot as I would have liked it. They were busy, so I chalked it up to that. The taste was there, though! AND I really wanted to try their Roasted Cauliflower, but they were out tonight! Service was good and their grade was a 97.5. The music tonight was on point with my liking, and I wish I had asked about their playlist. A mix from the late 90's and early 2000's. We will definitely be back!

Food was terrific! Pizza was flavorful and very thin. The salads were top notch, filled with fresh ingredients. My 11 year old loved the roasted cauliflower. It too had impeccable flavors. My husband and I each did a flight and the beers were tasty. I loved the Stoned Berries and Kolsch.

We also tried the teriyaki chicken wings which slid right off the bone perfectly. The nacho chips seemed homemade and were sooo good. They have some outside beer and cider options which is nice because they seem to specialize in a lot of IPAs. They also have a dog friendly patio area! They have a stage with live music frequently. Even though we went on a Wednesday night the place was still pretty busy! They do have somewhat limited parking. We were just passing through the area but had a great time here!

Their menu has grown from what I remember, but we were there for the smoked wings so we had a bit of tunnel vision. Everyone in our group ordered smoked wings. My fiancé and I both got the Buffalo and my brother in law chose the sweet bbq. They were incredible! And the fries were the perfect balance of crispy and soft and nicely seasoned. I tried the lil wit rooster beer and it was *chefs kiss* perfect for a hot day before a float down the river. Service was improved from last visit too! We can't wait for our next trip up this way, and Creek Bottom is a big reason why!

Service was fast, and the prices, while high, are comparable to other places. For the price, however, you're mostly getting some excellent quality plates. I recommend the dirty south burger, which I've had before, but this time I got the hot Winston chicken. I enjoyed the gochujang slaw on the side as well, but I like it as an included side. If I paid the full $5 for extra side, I wouldn't have been quite as pleased perhaps. Lace got the aforementioned burger, which I'm pleased to say is still delicious (I'll probably go back to it next time), and the fries are above average quality, too! Pours of draft beer seem to be in a smaller than average glass, but then they are keeping their beverage prices down this way.

However, the beer taste is noticeably off. I'm not sure what's affecting the flavor, but it does make me wonder whether the tap lines are being cleaned as regularly as they should be. We've tried them all, the hoppy IPAs, the lighter styles, some ciders and even the dark porters and the issue seems consistent across the board. Five friends who've joined us on different visits have said the same. At this point, I usually just order a margarita instead. Each beer or cider runs about $7, but the space itself is impressive: a large indoor area with plenty of picnic tables, additional seating outside, a dart wall, cornhole, and another beanbag toss game. Sometimes people will dance to the band but the seating is awkwardly close to wear the bands play. There is a restaurant beside Joymongers that will bring your food order to you, menus are placed at the brewery tables and when the bay doors are open, you can catch a truly beautiful sunset.
