Greeted at the door by a very nice hostess who sat us immediately. Waitress came to the table quickly to get a drink order. All is great. Drink order is placed, beer is always great. The wine selection is poor at best. I ordered the brewhouse cuban sandwich which was very dry and honestly, not much flavor. The hoagie seemed to overtake the sandwich but even eating the meat separately from the bun was unremarkable. Would not try again. Wife ordered the fish and chips which seems to always hits a home run but tonight it was off. The filet was small and more chewy than having the normal crunchy batter. The place was also sooooooo noisy that you had to almost yell to talk over a booth. I will not alone eager to return and feel the food truck at the tasting room delivers a better meal and you get the same delicious beer without all of the noice. Loved the staff though.

I have been to Foothills a number of time and it never disappoints. I will say, it's not mind-blowing, but the food is consistent, the beer is good, and the atmosphere is level (ie not super welcoming, not unwelcoming, but neutral). The service is typically good - not overly friendly, but quick, respectful, and good. I've had their wings, burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers. On my most recent visit I got one of their big pretzels and wings. They hit the spot!

Located in the heart of downtown with indoor and outdoor seating it's a large beautiful bar and restaurant. They have live music on certain nights and play music in the background on other days. The atmosphere is very relaxing and laid back. Staff is friendly and on point with their service. We got 3 different plates. My wife got the breakfast burrito, thank God she asked for the Chile de Árbol sauce on the side because it was spicy! I loved the spice as it did not linger. She got it with a side of perfectly fried sweet potato fries. My daughter got the Fish and Chips with a side of fries. The fish was golden fried on outside and soft and flaky on inside. It was huge and hung of the plate. I kept picking at it and stealing some bites. I got the Elote pasta. I must admit that at 1st bite I did not like it, seemed bland. After a little S&P love and mixing it up, it all came together. Not sure why it's called Elote(corn) pasta, as there was no corn on it, unless the sauce is made with corn. Anyway, the sauce was perfect and the scallions, tomatoes & fresh grated Parmesan was what put it all together. It was definitely the favorite dish as my wife and daughter kept stealing from me.......oh and let me not forget the tender perfectly seasoned blackened chicken. Every bite was flavorful. Overall very happy with our experience and waiter. If your downtown stop in and check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Great beer and great food. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was spot on - crispy bread, melted cheese, tangy pickles, tender pork, and just the right amount of mustard. Service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere has lively brewpub energy without feeling chaotic. Loved the music trivia on a Tuesday!

I've been a couple of times now and would highly recommend. It's a big space with bar and plenty of table seating as well, plus an area upstairs with standing tables and cordoned off space to the side for large private party. Service was fast, and the prices, while high, are comparable to other places. For the price, however, you're mostly getting some excellent quality plates. I recommend the dirty south burger, which I've had before, but this time I got the hot Winston chicken. I enjoyed the gochujang slaw on the side as well, but I like it as an included side. If I paid the full $5 for extra side, I wouldn't have been quite as pleased perhaps. Lace got the aforementioned burger, which I'm pleased to say is still delicious (I'll probably go back to it next time), and the fries are above average quality, too! Pours of draft beer seem to be in a smaller than average glass, but then they are keeping their beverage prices down this way.

A brewery located in downtown Winston Salem! My family and I came here on a weekend at around 1:30pm. It wasn't crowded at all, but we were told it would be about a 15-20 minute wait to be seated so the kitchen could catch up on orders. When we were seated, I ordered the spicy buffalo chicken wrap with a few modifications (no buffalo sauce and sub out ranch dressing for Caesar). They easily accommodated that for me. It also came with a side so I got the mac & cheese. Everything was delicious, but the food took a bit long to come out (at least 30 minutes). It helped that the restaurant had lots of TV screens for entertainment and the server made sure our drinks were always topped off. This is a great place to go for bar food and drinks. My favorite thing is the chef typically changes things up and will make a sandwich of the day so be on the lookout for that special menu when you visit.

Foothills brewing is one of my favorites in Winston Salem! I love their hot chicken wrap which has a mild kick, pickles, and ranch! Snag a little trees if you're looking N.A. drinking options - no calories and super light! Overall a go to spot this summer!

First time at foothills! Loved the atmosphere. We had a big table/ the tables put together were uneven but we managed. The food choices were normal for a bar/ brewery. Everything was delicious- however the ribs were not great- just average for the price. We will definitely be ba k.

"Remember that place in Winston where we got that plate of fish & chips that was SOOO good? What was the name?....Foothills Brewing!" That was it! We HAD to make the drive. We hit there and almost all of the dining room was empty but the hostess said that we could be seated but would have to wait about 20 minutes to be served because there was one group of about 15-20 people. The wait staff didn't feel that way however. Multiple people came over and helped us almost immediately with minimal wait. We both got the FULL ale battered fish & chips and split a coleslaw, although I don't remember it looking like that. I wanted hot sauce but couldn't remember the other condiment I usually ask for until the server said MALT VINEGAR! Everything was delicious and I'll have to come back soon.

Good spot to meet with friends - room for improvement with service. I wanted to give this a 4, it's in a great location on 4th street, when I went there was trivia, but the service just missed the mark a bit. I came on a Thursday with some friends and trivia was starting at 7pm in the back room. We were seated up front but the mic and sound system were set up well so we could still participate. Our server seemed a little frenzied and not the most personable (not rude, just not as friendly as I would hope/expect). We split a giant pretzel and ordered some beer and cocktails. I got the spicy margarita and enjoyed that. My friends left a little sooner than I did, and I arrived somewhat late, but our server brought our checks out literally before I even received my food! I stayed to finish trivia and when my waiter came over to check on me he started to ask if I wanted another drink and then abruptly said "Oh you're closed out!" I actually did want another round but didn't want to go through the hassle of starting another tab.. Trivia was super fun though, the cuban sandwich I had was robust and hearty but lacking in seasoning, plus the meat was just a little dry. It needed a dipping sauce or something. I think this a decent place in a great location. If they fine tune their flavors a bit and work on service, it would get another star from me!

Love it here, always a good place to watch a game. And the food is always really good. The beers are pretty solid. And the service is always very friendly.

Despite the somewhat higher prices, the food is incredibly high quality and the staff are super kind and welcoming. They are personable and understanding of requests and will gladly change anything for you. The environment/ambiance is also great, with comfortable seating and the music fitting for the place. Absolutely delightful!!!

Visiting our son at college and he brought us here as it was the only place he knew of open after 10pm Monday. Fantastic service. Delicious food. Several no meat options, like the veggie quesadilla with cowboy caviar- can't get that just anywhere! Menu is a little pricey, not for the average college student. Quality of the food is outstanding. This may be our spot when we're in town.

However, the beer taste is noticeably off. I'm not sure what's affecting the flavor, but it does make me wonder whether the tap lines are being cleaned as regularly as they should be. We've tried them all, the hoppy IPAs, the lighter styles, some ciders and even the dark porters and the issue seems consistent across the board. Five friends who've joined us on different visits have said the same. At this point, I usually just order a margarita instead. Each beer or cider runs about $7, but the space itself is impressive: a large indoor area with plenty of picnic tables, additional seating outside, a dart wall, cornhole, and another beanbag toss game. Sometimes people will dance to the band but the seating is awkwardly close to wear the bands play. There is a restaurant beside Joymongers that will bring your food order to you, menus are placed at the brewery tables and when the bay doors are open, you can catch a truly beautiful sunset.

We have always wanted to try this place out seeing it many times off of the roadway and it looked interesting because it was a converted gas station. As we parked and approached campus gas we noted that there was plenty of outdoor seating, primarily wooden benches, tables and places to lounge around outside near the fire pit. There were people enjoying a drink and playing a lively game of cornhole. We strolled around then went inside to explore what the business had to offer in the way of drinks and maybe get something to eat. As it turned out, it was around 9 o'clock, and the lady that came out from the kitchen told me that the kitchen was closed for the evening so we weren't able to get any food at that time so we walked around inside and looked at the small things for sale and the decorations saw the nice high top bar and chairs and since things were winding down, we decided to leave instead of having something to drink. We didn't see a bartender or someone to serve us a drink anyway. So as it stands, we'll have to come back by some other time and check it out. They've got a cornhole set outside to complete the backyard picnic feel, and I've even seen customers seated with their dogs. Very cool. My wife and I were cheerfully greeted when we walked in. We shared an order of chicken tenders and tater tots. My wife got a bottled water, and I picked a NA beer from their selection. Finally, someplace that carries an assortment of NA beers! The food took a while to come out, but this isn't a fast-food joint and it was nice to slow down and have a conversation. The chicken tenders and tater outs were hot and tasted great. Definitely a generous portion of both and I'm glad we got just one order. In summary, the place is nothing fancy. It's just a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy some comfort foods and frosty beverages. It's definitely on our "will return" list.

Between the rave reviews and the beautifully designed space, I knew this would be our stop. The first thing I noticed when we arrived was that the parking lot was on the smaller side, but any concern disappeared the moment we checked in. The hostess greeted us warmly, asked for my license plate so she could validate our parking, and had us seated almost immediately. It was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the experience. On the way to our table, I couldn't help but notice the inviting patio, perfect for lingering over lunch on a beautiful day. That said, I had reserved an indoor table, and I'm glad I did. The dining room is intimate, stylish, and effortlessly chic. It's the kind of restaurant that feels equally suited for a catch-up with friends as it does for a date night. The tables are close together, creating a lively atmosphere, so it's worth keeping that in mind if you prefer a little more privacy. Our server, Aundria, made an already wonderful experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and knew the menu inside and out. It was also refreshing to see the entire team working together so seamlessly, with everyone stepping in to help one another throughout the meal. I ordered the lobster roll with shoestring fries, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The lobster was fresh, buttery, and generously portioned, making it one of those dishes I'd happily order again. Before we left, I asked Aundria what she reaches for when she dines there. Without hesitation, she recommended the Korean Beef Bowl, which has already earned a spot on my list for my next visit. As if the experience couldn't have ended on a sweeter note, it started raining just as we were leaving. The hostess grabbed an umbrella and walked me to my car, a simple gesture that perfectly reflected the hospitality we experienced from start to finish. Great food is memorable, but genuine hospitality is what keeps me coming back. This restaurant delivered both, and it's officially earned a place on my list of Winston-Salem favorites.

The "Korean Beef Bowl" came with about a cup of each beef, rice, cucumbers and maybe 1/4th of an avocado for $24. My wife got the Thai coconut curry, $30 bucks which included an $8 up charge for chicken, in which there were maybe 8 paper thin slices. The curry part was non existent both in volume and in taste. There was barely any sauce, very bland, and it essentially tasted like unseasoned noodles and vegetables. I would gladly come back for a happy hour and enjoy their other drink options and appetizers, but I just cannot justify paying the exorbitant prices for how mediocre the food ultimately was. I wish I had taken a picture of the food to add weight to the review but it was so lackluster looking that it just was not worth photographing in the moment.
