Great beers, tasty slushies, and has a dedicated food truck. I've been to Fiddlin' Fish quite a few times and always find a beer I love. I quite liked the blood orange beer that they had running for a while. I also tend to always get at least one round of whatever slushy they have. One of my top pics was the currant slushy. Generous pours on the slushies, which I always appreciate! This place has a little food truck tied to it. I wasn't super impressed by the food truck's menu on my last visit. They tend to offer fairly genaric American food and I got a very expensive and very not exciting grilled cheese to eat. However, having a food option on site when drinking is clutch. Parking can be tricky, but they have an overflow lot within walking distance. This place is definitely worth checking out!
I've been coming to fiddlin fish now for about 4 yrs now and have never had a bad experience. The staff are extremely friendly and are quick about getting your order out to you. There's not a kitchen inside but there is a food truck that seems to be permanently parked there. I usually order the Major Winston which is a blood orange wheat beer however this time I got their Cool as the Appalachias and was not disappointed. Sometimes there are games showing on the TVs or a live band playing. You never know.
Steve and I recently had a wonderful, wonderful brown ale from Fiddlin' Fish Brewing Company! Fiddlin' was on my list for a while and it was a brewery that didn't disappoint us in the slightest at all! The name of the brown ale was the Cowboy Coffee Brown Ale and it's absolutely fantastic flavor features had elements of coffee, caramel, nutty and sweet! The ale is extremely smooth and is just an absolute joy all the way around! If the brewery's other beers are as impressive as that brown ale then no matter what you get would be a real treat! And if it is unlikely for that to not be the case then be sure and get the Cowboy Coffee Brown Ale!
FF is just another amazing addition to DTWS ever growing brewery scene. The location is amazing. It is within both walking distance to Camel City BBQ and Earl's if you get hungry before or after as well as Wise Man Brewery and Radar if you want to make a beer tasting day of it. There are also many restaurants within walking distance as well on Trade street. What we love about FF is in the weekends, during the day, they have a standing food stall next door for us day drinkers. You can order right at the bar. You can also easily get take out from Mojito across the street, which we do often. Their beer is amazing. I mean really, really good. They are a verified venue on Untappd if you are into the craft beer scene and their beers get great reviews on their. It's an amazing space with lots of wood, murals by local artists and plenty of seating. It's air conditioned and even with the bay doors open in the Summer it's quite cool and comfortable. It's dog friendly so bring your well behaved 4 legged friends. Great beer, a chill atmosphere and plenty of seating. FF is one of our top 5 places in WS to grab a pint.
I visited this brewing company today to enjoy the beautiful weather and to donate to the Humane Society event held at this brewery to help furry friends in need at the shelter and looking to be adopted. It was great to go to a downtown Winston Salem popular spot for fresh brewed beer. I especially like that I can always bring my dog. This brewery offers tastes of their beers before you order which is quite helpful when you aren't sure what to order as their are a number of selections to choose. They also have seltzers, wine, cider. Alot of different combinations I haven't seen around town, like what I ordered, a mocha blonde beer. It had the aroma of chocolate with a soft light beer taste without being bitter and finishes on the tongue light with a hint of mocha. I also tried the amber beer which I liked as well. An easy drinking beer with a smooth flavor. If you don't know what to order try a flight of beers. They come out on a small board and you get 5 or 6 different mini beers. I really was impressed with the bartenders and their customer service skills. They had lots of energy, smiles, knowledge and were very helpful. Especially since they had the added responsibility to clean up behind the many owner's dogs in attendance. A special shout out to my bartender Billie who was very helpful and patient w me as I tried different sample beers and had trouble tabbing out with the electronic ipad "cash register". This nite they had music bingo, and a vendor with doggie treats custom made while you wait. This is an open air establishment w a patio and bar area which can be closed in during cold weather and open on a gorgeous day like today. Stop in and sip on your unique beer and listen to some music or attend an event here as there's always something going on.
Well, I don't drink this is definitely my favorite brewery. The atmosphere is my favorite and I feel like it fits the needs for a lot of things. I come to read like a fish which is the Bookclub and we also spend some time here to watch sports games. My husband loves the beer And they usually have the food truck open outside.
Hands down the best beers I have had in WS. We tried several different places and the beer selection here is the absolute best. They have a flight for $10 so you can try four beers, but after trying you will definitely want to get another from the selection (or maybe another flight) Our favorites were the Mocha Blonde Ale which completely floored me because it tasted like a chocolate stout, but looked like an ale. My overall favorite was the Black Mountain Chocolate Stout, if you read my reviews you know I love stouts so this was was excellent and according to the barkeeper made that day....EXCELLENT...! Dog friendly and they have food trucks on some days. Go and tell them Mike sent you (you won't get anything, but tell them anyway...just for fun)...lol.
I can say "great beers" 'til the cows come home, but I know how subjective that can be. That said, I haven't had a bad beer from FF. And the taproom itself is fantastic, the exact kind of brewery space in which I will always feel comfortable, the inside and patio included. Staff is awesomely friendly and even saved me from an ordering gaffe that would have incurred my wife's mild wrath! A must-visit in Winston-Salem.
Great beer, live music, and great indoor/outdoor space. The bartender was super friendly and parking was easy! Loved you could order food and pick up next door!
This is one of my favorite breweries in Winston-Salem, my family and I seem to go every week. Everyone that works here is absolutely amazing but my favorite has to be Billy, she is super knowledgeable and always on top of everything. My favorite beers to drink here are definitely the Mocha blond and the vanilla coffee porter. It is also convently located close to everything in Winston-Salem and a perfect place to chill and enjoy the amazing weather or catch the game, since they have a ton of tvs.
Had a great time here enjoying some live music and cold beer. The staff were incredibly friendly and many great choices on tap. There was a food truck parked outside making dining a breeze. Will return soon!!
We came here with a group of friends visiting town and it did not disappoint! I can't remember the specific cider that was on tap when I ordered but it was delicious/super easy to drink. I'm not a beer drinker so I can't speak to the rest of the beverages but everyone in our large group was happy so that counts for something! The staff were helpful and super nice and it felt so cozy inside. Definitely a great place to hang with friends.
This is our favorite brewery in town! Best atmosphere, they're always coming out with new solid beers, and the staff is always so friendly & helpful! Love when they close off the parking lot for their parties. They also hold a run club on Mondays that has several routes, all with great views of the city.
It was a nice day and since it had been a while since our last visit, we stopped by Fiddlin' Fish Brewing Company in the evening. They had ciders from Bull City Ciderworks so I ordered the Blueberry Lemon cider. My husband started with an IPA which is his favorite but when he saw the limited-time release stout, he decided to switch. It was their last batch of Big Winston Chocolate Stout aged for six months in freshly dumped bourbon barrels from their next-door neighbors at Broad Branch Distillery. I'm not usually a beer drinker but this stout was quite nice. They also added cocoa nibs and I could definitely taste the chocolate. It's always fun to visit breweries because they're constantly offering something new. read more

Fiddlin' Fish is one of my favorite bars to go to in Winston. The servers here are so nice and there is always something fun going on. Every Thursday night they offer FREE music bingo, it's so fun and you can win some really cool prizes. They also have a variety of food trucks during the week. If you haven't been here yet you are definitely missing out on a good time!! read more

We go to FF every Monday for run club. One of us runs and one of us supports the brewery. I adore every single staff member - they only hire quality folks at the Fish. Love the beer, obviously, and as I'm currently doing dry Jan. I am stoked for Feb. to get here and return to business as usual! read more

This brewery is a Winston-Salem staple! The beer line up always has something for everyone from stouts to blondes to ciders. My personal favorite is the mocha blonde... I wish they had this year round! The atmosphere is awesome and dog friendly. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Trivia Tuesdays are a lot of fun, too! There's always something going on at Fiddlin' Fish which makes it an easy go-to beer spot. Highly recommend. read more

Beer is delicious, perfect temperature, clean flavors come through perfectly. Outdoor and indoor seating, the staff are super helpful even when slammed. Pet friendly, kid friendly. Great brewery. read more
This is a nice addition to the brewing scene in Winston-Salem, and it really completes the little center with Broad Branch and Black Mountain Chocolates. It is done in the industrial style with concrete floors and metal seating and is dominated by a large curved bar. The beer is good too. I especially liked the Brookstown Brown. It gives a good Malty flavor with the right amount of smooth and bite. I noticed that here are wines available of people that prefer wine and there was also another drink called Kombucha, which is a slightly effervescent fermented tea. That was a first for me, but I wasn't brave enough to try it. I noticed a big ole furry friend there too so I assume they are pooch friendly too, which is a plus for those of us who look for things to do with our puppies. Again it is a great new addition to Winston-Salem. read more

Honestly, what's not to love about this place? It has that perfect downtown bar atmosphere but with tons of space, great selection, and terrific service! Plus having the brewery itself right there just adds to the atmosphere. They have the Slanted Shed food truck available outside. And they seem to be partnered for the foreseeable future. Which makes it pretty good pair honestly. They are really good here at crafting unique and flavorful beers. Pretty much every variety I have tried has been great. Even when it's not my favorite type. Tonight I tried a sour they had and was really enjoying that. But the most enjoyable for me was their seasonal "Ass Over Tea Kettle". A really nice winter beer that the description says is based on Russian tea. in the name of parently implies how strong it is. Ha. But it was absolutely delicious and really did have the notes of a wintery tea. My wife is a particular fan of their chocolate milk stout and their vanilla coffee porter. "That Fish Cray New England IPA" is another tasty favorite of theirs that I've come across. They are also pet friendly and with the outdoor space in the summer probably even more so able to accommodate any and all. Parking right next to the brewery does run out pretty quick but it is available just across the street. read more
Run of the mill brewery. Lots of craft beer, select wine choice. Huge place. Seating available outside too. Also a food truck outside. The slanted shed. I think it's permanent. Super loud in here though. But good for big groups. I'm not a beer drinker, but I enjoyed the wine. Pretty reasonable prices too. Close enough to other eating places. Great place if your looking for something casual. read more
Is Fiddlin Fish the coolest brewery in NC? It might be my favorite! I know if this brewery were in Raleigh, it would be my go to, easily. I love everything about it. The garage doors, the murals of fish and fiddlers, the branding and merchandise, the permanent food truck on site, dog friendly... oh and I almost forgot... the beer is dank! I love their darker beers like their Vanilla Coffee Porter and the Stout, but they have great IPAs & seasonals as well. I am also a big fan of their Key Lime Gose. I am really glad that they started packaging so that I can find their beers in more places in Raleigh. We went this past weekend - me, my wife, & my parents along with our pups and had a great time. They had a really cool freestyle (I guess you'd call it) fiddlers group playing all sorts of instruments. There had to have been 20 people or more. It was amazing! We also grabbed some food from their food truck and it was really good. We had a chicken sandwich (similar style to Popeyes) with fries and also ordered the Brussel Sprouts which was topped with a really good Horseradish Aioli. We will be back soon hopefully. My only gripe is that it isn't closer! read more

Great spot to grab a drink. Lots of wood tables and games to play. Food trunks on certain nights. Owners and bartenders are courteous, professional and friendly. Dogs allowed. There are a few items for munching on that you can purchase. Kuddos for helping with the H.O.P.E. Toy drive! This place is within walking distance of local hotels, bars and restaurants. read more

We absolutely love coming here! The atmosphere is great. There are numerous sitting options both inside and outside. The beer selection is good, I'm not a HUGE beer drinker so I was pleasantly surprised to see they have up dog kombucha to drink! Today was the first time we ate at the slanted shed which is always sitting at the fish. I had the tomato sandwich and holy goodness I've never tasted something so fresh, plus it was made on sourdough bread (my favorite) the awesome thing about the food truck is their menu changes up every week! Also animal friendly parking can get a little tight on the weekends but they do have an overflow lot that's just a hop across the road. read more
