By far, the most "craft" of the breweries my husband and I tried while in town for the weekend! We had the pale ale and marzen and thoroughly enjoyed both styles. I love when you take that first sip and you can just taste the quality. The atmosphere was also classy but not snobby with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service could have been a little warmer if I'm being super picky. But this was still a 5 star experience overall.

My painted thumb and a PHB pale hoppy beer.

Quite literally the cleanest, best tasting beer I've ever had. I've been here multiple times so shame on me for just now getting around to writing a review. Most recently stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, perfect thing to hit the spot on a hot day. This place pretty much embodies everything I think a local brewery should be. Everything is made in house so it's always super fresh, the staff are easygoing, friendly and clearly passionate about their product and craft. Focus is on a smaller high quality selection beer and I think it pays off. They're also a craft brewery that feature lots of Czech and Bavarian style Lagers along with the usual American Pale Ale etc. Highly recommended if you like unique craft beer in a small friendly setting.

I call them my precious, awesome place with amazing people. Plus, their beers are delicious if you are looking for that traditional and refreshing beer. This is my go-to place to relax and set my day up in the best mood. The flowers, the decor, the outdoor space, and the staff are the best and most welcoming. This is the perfect place to come hang out with friends and family or even just by yourself if you want some me time.

Unique style beer with different options. ABV a bit lower on most of the beers, but taste wise they are spot on.

They have a nice covered outdoor area to enjoy their beers. It is a welcome addition to the other businesses on the block. The real star is the beer and so they have a variety of craft brews to try .

Lesser-Known Beer Co is a great little local brewery near Old Salem. I tried the PHB ( Pale Hoppy Beer), and it was very nice. I visited on a Friday evening and they had the Uptown Pizza food truck (fantastic pizza!). This place has a great vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. A great place to hang out and have a beer with friends.

Located a short walk from BBQ and cocktail establishments, Lesser-Known Beer provides a very pleasant beer and cider experience. Walk-up ordering at the back of the place was easy and quick, and the bartender was pleasant. The menu with current selections provided a nice variety. My daughter ordered To Be An Echo, the black lager that she likened to a Guinness. I ordered the German cider and found it crisp with a subtle fruit lingering on the palate and light. Perfect for me after the brisket sandwich I had consumed earlier. The establishment seems on the smaller side but the outdoor seating adds enough additional spots. I found my time here to be low-key and pleasant. On a side note, the area's Moravian heritage is found in the 12° -The Reworking Czech-inspired pale lager. L-K Beer brews it with Moravian Pilsner malt.

This is a Bavarian-inspired Weissbier, brewed with wheat and Pilsner malt. Tasting notes: sweet pear, banana cream. We have been enjoying the incredible beer from Lesser-Known for almost 2 years. We found this gem a week after they opened and have been visiting them weekly since then. The co-owners, Ryan and Will, are experienced beer enthusiasts, and Ryan brews authentic German-inspired beers that are of the highest quality. Will manages the front of the house with precision and confidence and a welcoming personality. This is our favorite brewery and we love everything about the good beer and good people and the good experiences. If you appreciate a high quality beer that tastes like beer, stop by Lesser Known, you won't be disappointed.

Stopped by briefly for a quick beer with a friend. Great cozy space if you love beer. Great for catching up with friends or just to get a way for a moment. I only had one beer and it was really good. We sat in the back where they brew the beer and had a few seats and standing space in that area which was kind of cool. the servers were great and friendly and helpful with the menu and the beer selection. I would go back if i were in the mood for beer. Great spot and location.

First time visit and absolutely loved it! Much like a local tavern without the all the noise. Beer and the wine were excellent! Customer service was the best. Did I mention the wine . Needed help on the proper pronunciation but the staff knew it well. Among the best white wine I ever had. Another perk is that it's right off the WS greenway so as you cycle the route be sure to stop by for a beverage. They have food as well but did not take the time to try. My daughter and I visited here on Father's Day during a bike ride. Great time.

Pils-a Czech style masterpiece at Lesser-Known Beer Co. Always true to German and Czech craft brewing. PROST!

It was standing room only this evening, and we had to park it near the door near the food truck. Being near the door in February, my daughter was getting cold. A woman came over, propped the door OPEN, and proceeded to video the band from half way out the door. She said something to my daughter about her being cold, which my daughter was honest about, but was ignored as she continued to video. As any father would do, I stepped in and asked to close the door as my family is cold, and went back to where I was standing. She proceeded to get in my face and say, "I'm the OWNER here and I'm getting a video" and went back to what she was doing. No I'm sorry, no recognition of her patron's needs. Just complete dismissal and rudeness. Needless to say, we didn't spend another nickel there, and never will. We left and will never be back as long as someone with that view of their patrons is still in charge. Zero stars for service and ownership regardless of how good their product may be. No thanks, Karen.

I wasn't in a beer mood so I opted for the rum & coke slushy-refreshing but I'm pretty sure there is virtually no alcohol in it. Worked for me though, I was all about the flavor and in need of an icy drink. Bartenders were on top of things and no wait for anything we needed! Live music, a pizza truck outside, and a few vendors set up inside. Always a great time!

I recommend the dirty south burger, which I've had before, but this time I got the hot Winston chicken. I enjoyed the gochujang slaw on the side as well, but I like it as an included side. If I paid the full $5 for extra side, I wouldn't have been quite as pleased perhaps. Lace got the aforementioned burger, which I'm pleased to say is still delicious (I'll probably go back to it next time), and the fries are above average quality, too! Pours of draft beer seem to be in a smaller than average glass, but then they are keeping their beverage prices down this way.

However, the beer taste is noticeably off. I'm not sure what's affecting the flavor, but it does make me wonder whether the tap lines are being cleaned as regularly as they should be. We've tried them all, the hoppy IPAs, the lighter styles, some ciders and even the dark porters and the issue seems consistent across the board. Five friends who've joined us on different visits have said the same. At this point, I usually just order a margarita instead. Each beer or cider runs about $7, but the space itself is impressive: a large indoor area with plenty of picnic tables, additional seating outside, a dart wall, cornhole, and another beanbag toss game. Sometimes people will dance to the band but the seating is awkwardly close to wear the bands play. There is a restaurant beside Joymongers that will bring your food order to you, menus are placed at the brewery tables and when the bay doors are open, you can catch a truly beautiful sunset.
