The only thing was that their quote didn't include drywall repair. I was told it's another dept and I would need to get a quote or I can find my own handyman. Ok how much can it be? Well after the water damage was resolved, I started getting quotes for drywall repair. I found out it was very expensive. In fact, well past the quote from the other places that included drywall repair. If I were to do it again, I would get quotes for the complete work so I can compare apples to apples.

I have to admit I was on the fence with doing mitigation because it's not a "have to" you can ignore the possibility of mold in your home but I'm grateful I did it the right way, went ahead with mitigation & it was with the right team. Russ was the head person I worked with as far as all communications went. Him and my insurance adjuster from nationwide did most the logistical communication. Russ was professional, quick , and direct. Even with me pushing off starting everything "because I had my own personal hesitations" he remained kind, patient & communicative. When the job started, the employees (both by the name Javier) were very respectful. The best part is how they laid down a cardboard runway from the door to the room in working process so that the rest of my home remained peaceful & clean which I truly valued. They enclose that room & have to say my home remained very peaceful & as clean as I can keep it. The employees never made me feel uncomfortable which is my most important thing to mention. Being a female & on my own you always run the risk of inappropriate behaviors with men coming to your home and working on stuff. Environmental remained super professional. Unfortunately the two other companies we reached out to for mold remediation were not helpful so we moved forward with Protech but once our insurance was involved everything changed. The price changed and the communication was horrible. Jarrett even emailed the claims adjuster saying that "I was calm now" because he spoke with me when really the insurance could barely get a hold of him or his company to get information either. His secretary was very kind and when I refused to speak with Jarrett over the phone she did not push me almost like she understood and this wasn't the first time that had happened.
