Lamb Leg
Ida D.

My husband and I were really excited to try this restaurant but the experience left a lot to be desired. We ordered: (3.5/5) Bread basket ($8) - plain sourdough and a Gochujang sourdough. Breads were tasty but it was served with a sweetened butter. I requested for plain butter. Overall this was the best dish of the night. (3/5) Lamb Leg - Flavors melded well, the honey glazed carrots were a good touch. This was braised but a good portion of the lamb was dry. (1/5) Duck Breast - this dish looked promising but every piece of duck was dry. I love duck but this was difficult to eat. (1/5) Mussels - this was by far the worst dish... this was salted as if salt was free! I wanted to send it back but my husband didn't want to make a fuss. We both ended up having the mussels without any of the broth which is typically our favorite part. The service was decent, nothing remarkable. The ambiance is cozy but I should mention we had at least 3 flies at our booth. We managed to swat 2 of the 3. Needless to say we won't be returning.

DELICIOUS! This is a couple times a month date night spot. The salmon and mussels are my favorite but the filet is amazing too! Service is always great and ambiance is wonderful. Dim lighting perfect for a date night.

Superb!! This restaurant is a beautiful casual finer dining experience (oxymoron). Let's start with the decor -- I always appreciate a place that uses fresh flowers. And their service is impeccable. The wine options were delightful and they offer a special house set of beverages (seasonally). I enjoyed the seared duck breast -- SUCCULENT. It was tender and flavorful. They paired it with steamed carrots, fennels, cauliflower purée and more. Yummy yummy yummy. The best part? The gallery! Apparently, their walls were bare before they partnered with artists and I'll tell you.. it was a GREAT choice! The experience is pleasant and intimate. You won't be disappointed to have an event here or celebrate an anniversary or even a random Thursday! All experiences are welcomed. Go to Theo's Rogers!

The server took forever to talk to us and was never around just to see she's at the bar sitting and texting. The table bread was cold. My steak was also extremely fatty. The lobster Mac and cheese was disappointing. No cheese or lobster. Will not be back. Overpriced for no reason.

Always love the happy hour! Fries are always a good bet, and appreciate HH runs until 6:30.

My wife and I went to Theo's for our anniversary dinner and we had a wonderful time. On an earlier occasion when having dinner we noticed a Chef's Tasting dinner and a Paired Wine tasting on the menu. We thought that would be a great idea for our anniversary. The meal was five courses, with every dish delicious, perfectly prepared, and expertly served. I had told them when making the reservation (which you need to make at least 24 hours in advance so they can prepare) what type of food we did not like and they made sure the meal did not include these items. Not only was the food perfect, but the paired wines were also unique and expertly matched each of the 5 courses. The atmosphere was lovely and we were not rushed to complete our dinner even though we were pushing closing time by the time we finished. My wife and I have lived in a lot of places in the world and this was one of the best dinners we have experienced. Thank you to Jonathan (G.M. and Sommelier) and our Server Jann for making this a great experience. We will definitely be back. BTW... They have an excellent Happy Hour for drinks and food also!

Went there as a group and had a great time. There were a couple of complimentary wine tasting with cheese samplings. Most servers were nice except for a lady who looks like she was tired (facial reactions, sighing etc.) Food were good. I guess I just don't like how they cook the, what was that, duck? But the servings were awesome! If I could give it a 6-star, I would! We ordered almost all the main entrees - lamb, pork chop, steak... and I've tried them all (at least a bite). Don't miss the desserts, oh my goodness, so worth it! Indoor and outdoor dining available, plus bar and after dinner hours to chill with friends. Would reco for group gatherings and office mtgs.

Stopped in for a quick bite on a Monday. It's a spot with great ambiance, but the experience was average overall. Nothing stood out other than the cocktail which included popcorn mezcal and was a really unique flavor. I'd come back for drinks, but probably nothing else.

I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately the food was nothing special. The foie gras and crab cakes were good. The duck would've been really good it was just raw in the middle. The lamb was amazing but the pasta was very under cooked. The signature drinks that we had were good. We loved the atmosphere and the waitstaff was excellent. We just wanted the food to be a lot better.

Service was great. Food was delicious, but fell just short of a 5-star taste. I would go again, maybe.

I loved the interior and how it was decorated. The grilled cheese was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Definitely wouldn't be enough if there were more than 2 people at the table though. The pork porterhouse was good, the butter on top really gave the meat its flavor. The pasta was amazing. Great portion sizes for both. Overall: amazing classy dinner spot in NWA, would definitely come back!

Surprised to find a restaurant this caliber without a tasting menu however, the choices were interesting enough that we tried out these strawberry appetizer which combines in season strawberries with a tart cream sauce, and a balsamic vinaigrette, making for a sweet and sour combination The bread, butter combo was very good with the butter being infused with some heat. We went for a pretty standard selection of steak for two which was well prepared and came with a side of mushrooms and potato cakes. Honestly, the winner of the night was the wine. A nice wine list selection that included choices from California, Spain, France. We went with a rioja reserve which was a great pairing. There is no Sommelier or suggested wine pairings on the menu. The service was solid however, once the restaurant filled up, we found ourselves somewhat on our own. The dessert menu had a nice selection, but nothing that jumped out at us. Overall, a really interesting space, pleasant service, good food, great wine, and a nice evening.

My husband ordered the lamb meatballs, and I had the gnocchi--both dishes were rich, filling, and absolutely delicious. Our server, Zach, was fantastic. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. We also noticed how well the entire staff worked together, stepping in to help each other seamlessly, which made the whole experience feel even more polished and welcoming. We were celebrating our 15th anniversary, and the team surprised us with a complimentary blackberry sorbet for dessert. It was the perfect, refreshing ending to an unforgettable meal. Between the outstanding food, exceptional service, and wonderful atmosphere, Conifer exceeded every expectation. We'll definitely be back!

Great spot for tasty, interesting food that feels upscale but unstuffy. The parking situation is...not great. But that's true for every business in the area. I'd suggest Ubering or arriving early with time to find parking.

Had great service from Rhodes who was gracious and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great suggestions. The Upside Down cocktail was delicious. A bit sweet for a whiskey drink, but very good. We showed up about 45 minutes early for our 8:30 reservation and did a quick walk through. Instead of waiting around, we wandered upstairs to The Stone House Tavern (right next door) for a drink, and here's the move: they serve the full Grotto menu. Same kitchen, totally different vibe. We grabbed a table and never left. The tavern has a cozy, dim-lit feel with a massive wall of books that immediately stands out. It's quiet, relaxed, and easy to actually enjoy a conversation no shouting over noise, no rushing through dinner. Service was great. Our server was kind, attentive, and we had a few genuine, easy conversations with her that made the whole experience feel even more relaxed. We started with the quail poppers and the baby romaine both solid, but more of a warm-up than the main event. The bone-in pork chop is the star. It's massive, cooked right, and easily shareable if you add a couple of sides. Don't skip the acorn squash it was one of the best things on the table. We also tried the full wings with three sauces, and those were just as good flavorful, not overdone, and a great balance to the heavier entrée. Overall, this place delivers on food, atmosphere, and experience. Bonus points for the upstairs "secret." We'd absolutely come back and probably go straight to the tavern again.
