The chairs at the tables are super comfortable, and it's easy to carry on a quiet conversation throughout the meal. The cocktail selection is high-end and fabulous. We sat at the bar to wait for our table to be ready, and that is a well-run show. We both loved our drinks. Our server was excellent: informed, accessible and spent just the right amount of time with us at every turn. We had the cheddar biscuits and this flavored butter situation, the likes of which I've never experienced (and believe me, I've had a lot of butter in my time!). My husband said a couple days later, that he's still convinced there was accidentally gluten in those biscuits. There was NOT -- he just can't account for why they were so good. We both got fantastic entrees, and here is my only critique of the evening. Our roasted/grilled meats were absolutely DELISH, and they both came with sauce and nuts. Way, way too many nuts! For budgetary purposes alone, I'd think the chef wouldn't want to serve that many pine nuts to someone (but the pine nut chili crisp was unique and amazing). I shoved about half the nuts to the side and still had plenty. My husband's dish had the same issue, but with almonds. We figured between our plates, we had about $20 worth of nuts alone, lol. For dessert, we got the ice creams, and holy goodness! They stopped us in our tracks, they were so good. Creamy as all get-out and lusciously flavored. So, if you have a gluten intolerance or allergy, go to Conifer. If you can eat anything in the world, also go to Conifer!
