Amazing! The gentleman at the front desk was GREAT! Thank you for the conversation, Rocky. And the young man at the bistro was so kind and communicative. Thank you, Diego! I appreciate their service and delight. I will be back again for the salmon!

Located in the DoubleTree hotel the Bistro 301 is a bar that has food. "Bistro" is a stretch... The dim of the room is cut through by the electric orange light of the bars counter tops. A very different look for a hotel lounge. However it is kind of cool. When I walked in there were some obvious regulars and a couple of hotel guests. Far from crowded there was plenty of room at the bar or at many of the numerous tables. I bellied up to the bar and ordered a Rye and Ginger... my goto drink. The bartender was pleasant and attentive. I got my drink and it was perfect... I could actually taste the rye. Then I ordered some food... the first night I got the buffalo wings with fries and the second night I got the grilled cheese. My honest suggestion... skip everything else and get the grilled cheese! Ooooohhh my Goddie it was WAYYYYY tooooo Hottie! A fantastic cheese concoction made with 4 different cheeses, tasty tomatoes, bombastic bacon, and all nestled between two pieces of parmesan encrusted sour dough bread. It was beyond wonderful!! They should make this the headliner!! It was a taste bud exploder! This is a must have. Pair it with their seasoned fries and you have a meal fit for a king! (Well maybe a Duke... or a prince/princess) whatever the case... if I had known I would of eaten this both nights. (The wings are under whelming, smallish, and really just ok.) It is a chill and relaxing place set on fire by the electric light of the bar counters... serving divine bliss in the form of a gourmet grilled cheese! I loved it!

Room service menu which has the variety that the restaurant could prepare.

I ate in this restaurant for breakfast as part of my amenities while staying ate the DoubleTree Hotel. It was pretty busy in the morning as most people dining were preplanning their business meetings for the day and they seemed to sit at the tables for a while. The service was good though not super friendly. They seat you and bring a beverage if it is not on the buffet. They clear your plate in a timely manner and don't rush the service. I did not order anything special from the kitchen as everything on the buffet was satisfactory for my breakfast needs. The buffet was replenished with hot food as needed and I thought it was all pretty tasty. The fresh fruit was fresh and ripe. The baked goods were nice looking. A variety of croissants and pastries. There was a fresh baked loaf of some nut bread and there was a self service toaster too. The hot selection was minimal but fresh. There were some premade pancakes and oatmeal and grits. The potatoes were like fresh sliced thick chips and the scrambled eggs had fresh shredded cheese sprinkled on top. The bacon was a little greasy but good. The best part was the breakfast sausage. It was locally sourced and blessed by God. It had a nice crunch to the outer casing and some delicious spices and cheese inside it. I could have eaten the entire warming bin. They will bring out a hot pitcher of coffee to leave on the table so you can fill as needed. The food was quite delicious eventhough there was less variety than a Hampton Inn breakfast buffet which is complimentary to all. I do not know what the charge is for this buffet and I have heard that they do not like to make special ordered omelettes. For me it was very good.

Heavenly pulled pork Mac and cheese!

I was staying at the doubletree for a work trip and it was way too cold and rainy to venture outside for food.

Had an amazing date night at Preacher's Son. Service was incredible!! We loved our server (Natalie…read moreI think?) and the drinks were strong and delicious. I loved the interior and how it was decorated. The grilled cheese was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Definitely wouldn't be enough if there were more than 2 people at the table though. The pork porterhouse was good, the butter on top really gave the meat its flavor. The pasta was amazing. Great portion sizes for both. Overall: amazing classy dinner spot in NWA, would definitely come back!

Surprised to find a restaurant this caliber without a tasting menu however, the choices were interesting enough that we tried out these strawberry appetizer which combines in season strawberries with a tart cream sauce, and a balsamic vinaigrette, making for a sweet and sour combination The bread, butter combo was very good with the butter being infused with some heat. We went for a pretty standard selection of steak for two which was well prepared and came with a side of mushrooms and potato cakes. Honestly, the winner of the night was the wine. A nice wine list selection that included choices from California, Spain, France. We went with a rioja reserve which was a great pairing. There is no Sommelier or suggested wine pairings on the menu. The service was solid however, once the restaurant filled up, we found ourselves somewhat on our own. The dessert menu had a nice selection, but nothing that jumped out at us. Overall, a really interesting space, pleasant service, good food, great wine, and a nice evening.

The atmosphere is laid back and fun, but intimate enough to enjoy time to talk and enjoy the meal. The menu has a wide variety of options so it's a great place for most anyone, including picky eaters. We got engaged at Fred's 10 years ago and hoped to spend Valentines reminiscing.... Nope. Not even the same type of food. We ordered the calamari and it tasted like it had a gallon of salt. Then the $50 filet I got was tough. The prime rib my husband got was also tough. We opted for the salad bar... it had about 6 items on it and the dressing was served in individual cups out of a mini fridge. Apparently someone forgot to stick it up because there was two options only and everything else was empty. Let's talk about the ambience, so disappointing. A big, open, stark, cold room similar to a cafeteria. The only thing not a total bummer was the service. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Had great service from Rhodes who was gracious and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave great suggestions. The Upside Down cocktail was delicious. A bit sweet for a whiskey drink, but very good. The salmon and steak were perfectly cooked. The asparagus and mushroom sides scrumptious. We split a slice of vanilla caramel cake which was divine. A perfect meal.

We showed up about 45 minutes early for our 8:30 reservation and did a quick walk through. Instead of waiting around, we wandered upstairs to The Stone House Tavern (right next door) for a drink, and here's the move: they serve the full Grotto menu. Same kitchen, totally different vibe. We grabbed a table and never left. The tavern has a cozy, dim-lit feel with a massive wall of books that immediately stands out. It's quiet, relaxed, and easy to actually enjoy a conversation no shouting over noise, no rushing through dinner. Service was great. Our server was kind, attentive, and we had a few genuine, easy conversations with her that made the whole experience feel even more relaxed. We started with the quail poppers and the baby romaine both solid, but more of a warm-up than the main event. The bone-in pork chop is the star. It's massive, cooked right, and easily shareable if you add a couple of sides. Don't skip the acorn squash it was one of the best things on the table. We also tried the full wings with three sauces, and those were just as good flavorful, not overdone, and a great balance to the heavier entrée. Overall, this place delivers on food, atmosphere, and experience. Bonus points for the upstairs "secret." We'd absolutely come back and probably go straight to the tavern again.
