We had a wonderful dinner at Isabella's. The staff goes above and beyond. Both Sue and Mary Joe were so friendly and made the entire experience delightful. My husband had the Chicken Parmesan and said it was one of the best he's had. I had the Veal with Sweetbread, but they adjusted it to make it gluten free. It was very good. There's quite a few yummy options for those with gluten allergies - a nice change from what I'm used to. Everything is beautifully decorated. I love the smaller private room you can reserve for birthdays, etc., and their banquet room is also gorgeous. read more

Food: The 16 layer lasagna had 3 layers with crispy, not al dente, edges. The portion was small, approximately 2"x2"x4" and served barely warm. The flavor was below average. The Tagliatelle: Bolognese sauce, basil, and ricotta. Mine was served cold minus the basil. It looked like leftovers warmed up. Bolognese sauce--traditionally known in Italy as Ragù alla Bolognese--is a rich, slow-simmered meat sauce originating from Bologna. Unlike quick, tomato-heavy American meat sauces, authentic Bolognese is firmly focused on the depth, texture, and flavor of finely minced meat, using tomatoes as an accent rather than the base. The picture without the blob of ricotta is what it is supposed to look like. I saw very little meat in mine. Service: The server was friendly and somewhat attentive. They were out of the beer we ordered so we ordered wine. He brought us our $12 glasses of red wine. They were the smallest pours I have ever been served. I would guess it was 3-4 oz. A standard pour is 5 ounces, but most restaurants over rather than under pour. After he served our food, he asked if we wanted freshly grated cheese which he served. I asked him for salt and pepper and more bread. He forgot. The next time he came to the table he retrieved them. My food was even colder by that time. When we received our bill there were extra service and credit card fees. Really!! At the prices they charge they feel the need to gauge you with extra fees. Unbelievable! The atmosphere is the only thing they got right. It is beautifully decorated with jazz playing on the speakers. It is a shame the food is so mediocre. I would have loved to return. The owners need to hire chefs trained in Italian cooking. This food is not that. read more

Our second time visiting Isabella's. Last time was just after their open in Bentonville. It was good then but now it is amazing. Mike our server was wonderful; attentive without being intrusive. We were a bit concerned when live music was being set up. The duo; guitarist and singer performed light pop/jazz that was not too loud ( my initial fear) and enhanced the ambience The food was superb. Try the chicken prosecco. The sauce was absolutely delicious and the chicken cooked perfectly. The Caesar salad is served in an edible Parmesan "bowl " perfect start to the meal. Try the French 75 cocktail. Our second visit to Isabella's. The ambience & decor is outstanding. Ashley was our waitress and did an excellent job. Each time I requested seating and they are happy to accommodate. We started with the Caesar salad in an edible Parmesan bowl. The hubs ordered the beggars purses and I ordered Mount Vesuvius shrimp with lobster cream sauce. Everything was delicious. A glass of the Clay Cab was a great pairing. A dirty martini is a must. A charming, festive atmosphere and a delicious meal. Great service, too. read more

Visiting from Los Angeles, I have to say everything we ordered was delicious and the staff are wonderful

These people should not be allowed to operate a business. We had the absolute worst experience of our lives at this place. We paid hundreds of dollars to rent their private room for a wedding reception. When we arrived, we were told that we were not getting the private room and they had set us up in the main restaurant because the room couldn't hold our party. That was the first lie. When we met with the event planner to look at the place a couple of months ago we were told that room could accommodate 60 people and we were somewhere around 50. When I talk to what I assume was the owner about it she immediately got an attitude and couldn't understand why we were upset because according to her putting us in the main restaurant was a better spot. Unfortunately, putting us in that room made it to where the entire wedding reception was divided because there is a second room where the buffet was at that divided our entire party. She expected us to dance in a tiny area in front of their wine coolers. Mind you no one ever reached out to us to tell us that they were changing our seating arrangement. While the manager was yelling, she basically told me that they're not a wedding venue. They're a restaurant. Yet their website advertises they're a great place to have events and gatherings and wedding rehearsals. She finally agreed to let us have the room and she said "all we're gonna do is push the tables and chairs to the side and you're just gonna have to deal with it." Mind you all of this is in a written contract. We were also told we would have a private bar which we did not. We were even instructed to select a few things we wanted the private bar to have at set prices for our guests. Instead, we had to go to the main bar where they charged my son $40 for two lemon drop shots. The contract states that they would collect from all of our guests individually, and that it was not our responsibility and we would not be liable for anything other than our own meals after paying for the room. When the bride and groom we're getting ready to leave to pay for their meal, they were told that they owed almost $900 and that most of our party had left without paying. For one that is absolutely false. Secondly, the contract states that it is the restaurants responsibility to collect and start a tab. Third we were told since they were all individual orders, there would be no mandatory gratuity however, when I paid my bill, there was a 20% gratuity already on there. Then come to find out part of the $900 that was left over was another 20% gratuity so they were literally charging us 40% gratuity on this entire deal. They also refused to provide an itemized bill. So we refused pay. The cocky little waiter decided to get in all of our faces yell scream and curse at us. My son was trying to explain what was going on to him while he was holding his five month old baby, when the waiter pulled his arm back like he was going to punch him. He called us all redneck f$&k's, and told my daughter who had just got married. He hopes that she gets divorced. He even got physical and shoulder checked my daughter-in-law. So this vile human of a waiter that endangered a baby and physically assaulted a woman then throws us out and calls the police. From the moment we walked in the door everything was absolute lie and and all of these lies were part of a contract that they broke. We went back and agreed to pay $500 of this supposed 900 that we owed, and that was being generous. These people should not own a business and Bentonville should pull their license immediately. Many of the people there tonight have already left Google reviews, and the owner is already responding with more lies blaming us that we didn't tell our guests that they had to pay for their meals yet they were all paid for. They are con artists and they tried to double charge us for many things. They broke the contract. They lied every time we turned around and they had the absolute worst attitude about it. Stay far far far away from this horrible restaurant. read more

What a nice surprise. From out of town and was headed to the BBQ place that used to be in this spot . Walked in and was wowed by the transformation. Sat at the bar and met a great bartender Kyle. Had the Caesar salad to start followed by the beggars purse pasta on the recommendation of Kyle and it was legit. Something different and very good. Tonite I guess is the first night of live Jazz. Really good food. Ambiance is nice. I call it swanky. Loved the blue palette decor. Unique and felt upscale. We started with Burrata. Very tasty with the tomato and artichoke but expected it to be warmer and when broken, that the cheese would flow out like lava for easy bread dipping. It was knife spread consistency. Salads were great, the Caesar comes in a baked Parmesan bowl. My complaint there is the croutons. I have to assume the salad was made ahead of time as the croutons were soggy. I would just leave those off. Not needed with the crisp cheese bowl. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. The shrimp carbonara, the tagliatelle with bolognese and the 16 layer lasagna with Italian sausage Finished with olive oil cake and crème brûlée for dessert. The cake was good-orange lemon and had a nice flavor. The brûlée was the thinnest I have ever had. Hardly any custard so it tasted like pure sugar from the scorched sugar topping. That's all I tasted. Complete waste of money. Do not order. Outside of the food, the wait staff was attentive. Too attentive. It irks me when staff interrupts conversation to ask for the 4th time if they can take the bread basket. Geez! read more

I really enjoyed the Fayetteville location so really excited about the new location since it is much closer to me. The restaurant is really nicely decorated, very upscale even though it is in a strip mall. They had been open a couple of days so there was a lot of staff roaming around. We were greeted very warmly and immediately seated at a very nice table. One of the biggest issues in the Fayetteville location was the tables were very close together because space was tight, not the case here. We started with calamari steaks, they were anything but steaks. While very good, there were just a few tiny bites. Really disappointed in the quantity, but they were very good. I then had the salmon in a basil creme. I will order salmon at most upscale restaurants because I really like it and love to see how the chef seasons and cooks it. Because it was sitting in the basil creme, I was not able to really taste the salmon, so not really sure how it was. The sauce it set it was very good, I would rather have the salmon stand alone. My wife had the Caesar salad and the Fruits de Mer Risotto and really liked both. The servers were fairly new but well trained. I am a little more critical than normal here, when I spend $100+ per person I do expect much more. Overall it was a good experience and a great new restaurant for the area. We have really been lacking in good Italian in the area and now we have some very nice ones. read more

The first time we went to Isabella's it was really good and they had plenty of gluten-free options for my wife. We took my mother-in-law there this past Thursday and had the opposite experience. They were out of gluten-free noodles and had very little to offer. Menu is somewhat limited, even though I can eat anything. There are so many better options in Northwest Arkansas. read more

I normally never give negative feedback on a restaurant however I don't want anyone else to waste their money here. The Good! ....the place is beautiful...they did an excellent job at making the interior high end. That's where it ends. They had plenty of staff, yet they mostly hung out on the patio including the Chef. I was recommended the special which was steak gorgonzola with shrimp over gnocchi. I specifically asked that the steak be cooked medium rare to rare. Came out well done, zero flavor watery sauce and undercooked shrimp. I had water to drink and my tab was still just over $70 no salad, no dessert, no drink. I'm glad I checked it out myself before taking business associates there. They will not get a second chance. Wow. Just wow. I didn't expect that much, heard some good things but wasn't as absolutely amazing as it turned out to be. We had the cosmo and Martina for drinks to start (both delish!) and the side Caesar salad. Salad was great, not fishy or anything, just tasty. Croutons were crunchy, lettuce crisp, and that amazing Ramadan "bowl"! We had the Beggsr's purses and lasagna. Both were super tasty and absolutely wonderful. I did not expect such fantastic food in NWA. Sooo good. And atmosphere is really classy, very nice and upscale without making us feel out of place. One of my best meals of the past two years! I travel frequently for work in multiple states and this restaurant has made my top five. Very attentive and friendly staff, outstanding salad and salmon main. I would have had a dessert but was just too full. Beautiful decor and very pleasant atmosphere with soft jazz music. They must really hate all restaurants! The pricing was also very reasonable for the quality of the food. Do yourself the favor and order the burrata! The lasagna and orecchiette are beyond amazing. We ordered the Halibut with a delicious sauce that had capers and sun dried tomatoes over polenta. A delicious meal. We had the chocolate crepes with basil ice cream with marinated strawberries and an absolutely to die for chocolate sauce drizzled over the plate with chocolate and vanilla dollops of whipped cream. The dessert was spectacular and more than enough for two. We are definitely raving about this restaurant. The Chef is totally brilliant. We will be back. This is one that won't disappoint. Just to update my review. They finally contacted me almost a week later. It was nothing more than admitting they did not rise to the occasion and lots of lip service. Basically blamed everything on the server and stated they fired him for his slow service and getting food out lukewarm. That was unfortunate as he was the only redeeming quality to our evening. At one point she offered a gift card but I was not interested as it would not of covered our expenses (277.00 for pasta and Salmon no alcohol or drinks and an additional 70.00 for the server 25%) and I would never contribute any extra monies to their food or bad customer service. I've lived in NWA and have dined in numerous restaurants and I have never written a bad review but I really feel this was deserving. read more
