The flavors that food restaurant brings out is insane. From the appetizer to the dessert port wine. I don't even like beets but i would recommend getting them here. The peaches mixed with it as perfect pairing. The service was great we were celebrating my wife's birthday and they welcomed us with a happy birthday for her. The food came out with perfect timing and everything was cooked to perfection

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We came for our anniversary and wow! Melanie was our server and she was phenomenal. They went above and beyond to celebrate us. Free app, extra dessert and a champagne toast. THE FOOD IS SO AMAZING! The vibe is upscale but still casual and it's beautiful inside. Highly recommend

Stopped by the preacher's son on a visit to Bentonville. When you arrive there is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. The entrance is a bit hidden, as you'll need to walk up a set of stairs to reach the entrance. When you arrive you'll check in with the host before being seated. While there were a few open tables, we were seated tightly in between two groups despite the restaurant being partially full, which definitely took away from the experience. The environment is one of the restaurant's highlights. It is housed in a beautiful restored church. For drinks I ordered the Blood Orange Buck (bourbon, spiced maple, blood orange cider, mint, citrus) which was a well balanced and a fun take on an old fashioned. To start we shared the Burrata (grilled flatbread, green goddess, roasted garlic). While the flavors were good, the portion was surprisingly small and felt underwhelming for the price. For my entree, I ordered a pasta carbonara dish which had good flavor but again the portion size was small like the appetizer. Overall, the quality of food and presentation were strong, and the setting is worth seeing (would lean more towards drinks). However, between the small portions and the seating arrangement, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. While I'm glad I tried it, I don't see myself returning.

Saw the reviews about this restaurant and we had to try it out. Made reservations, which were highly recommended and found ourselves by ourselves at a 5 PM seating, but we are early birds in general. The space filled up within the next hour. Surprised to find a restaurant this caliber without a tasting menu however, the choices were interesting enough that we tried out these strawberry appetizer which combines in season strawberries with a tart cream sauce, and a balsamic vinaigrette, making for a sweet and sour combination The bread, butter combo was very good with the butter being infused with some heat. We went for a pretty standard selection of steak for two which was well prepared and came with a side of mushrooms and potato cakes. Honestly, the winner of the night was the wine. A nice wine list selection that included choices from California, Spain, France. We went with a rioja reserve which was a great pairing. There is no Sommelier or suggested wine pairings on the menu. The service was solid however, once the restaurant filled up, we found ourselves somewhat on our own. The dessert menu had a nice selection, but nothing that jumped out at us. Overall, a really interesting space, pleasant service, good food, great wine, and a nice evening.

Had an amazing date night at Preacher's Son. Service was incredible!! We loved our server (Natalie I think?) and the drinks were strong and delicious. I loved the interior and how it was decorated. The grilled cheese was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Definitely wouldn't be enough if there were more than 2 people at the table though. The pork porterhouse was good, the butter on top really gave the meat its flavor. The pasta was amazing. Great portion sizes for both. Overall: amazing classy dinner spot in NWA, would definitely come back!

Really wonderful spot! Gorgeous setting in an old church with high ceilings and stained glass. The service was excellent and super attentive. We started with drinks, I got the Spanish gin and tonic which was good (very light) but my husbands drink (the Silk Road) was for sure the best. Then we got the bread, which was perfectly toasted and delicious. Next we had pesto casarecce, which was my favorite of the food we had! Super creamy and delicious. Then we had rigatoni bolognese which was also good!! And our server was very kind to bring carmelized carrots as well. Really wonderful spot!

During our visit to town, a neighbor recommended this place to us. At first, I was hesitant since we had my 90-year-old father with us. However, when I saw that they had swordfish on the menu, I knew we had to go, as it's my father's favorite meal. The standout dish, without a doubt, was the kale salad. I normally wouldn't order it, but it was offered to us on the house. I smiled and thanked them, not expecting to enjoy it. To my surprise, we shared it at the table, and it disappeared quickly! Who would have thought kale salad could be so good? Everything we ordered was excellent. I had the flat iron steak, which I really enjoyed, especially the unique twist on broccoli and cheese. The croquettes were also given to us on the house, and everyone at the table liked them. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, we had a wonderful night in a beautiful setting. I love the trend of converting churches into restaurants happening across the country. If you find yourself in the area, be sure to stop by, ask for Tess, and enjoy your evening!

I wish I could give this a higher rating than five. We visited this restaurant on Friday, May 15, 2026. We had reservations at 8:30 PM. The ambience and the visual architecture of this place is stunning. It is such an elevated experience, but still down to earth. The staff was incredible. The food was to die for and the drinks were just the same. It's not very often that I give something a perfect review, but I gotta say this place was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend visiting the bar downstairs and having a drink before dinner. They also have a rooftop bar but we were not able to visit it because it was a rainy night. Honestly, we cannot wait to go back. We are from Oklahoma and we've already talked about driving back down to Bentonville just to go here again.

The meal that my boyfriend and I had at The Preacher's Son is probably the best meal we have enjoyed together. From the ambience, to the drinks, food and dessert everything was superb and left us enjoying each bite. We started with our drinks, him getting the Haiku Garden and I got the In Bloom, which is a nonalcoholic hibiscus margarita. Perfectly sweet and tart. For snacks we had the croquettes and bread. The croquettes were extremely fresh and came out hot. Then the bread was baked perfectly and the scallion butter was extremely flavorful. For entrees he had the flat iron steak and it was served with fresh summer vegetables. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly how he likes it. It cut like butter and each bite seemed to get better. I got the bolognese, the sauce was extremely fresh and it had the perfect amount of sausage in it. We shared potatoes which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. To end off the night we shared the chocolate pot de creme, which is my favorite dessert. The whip cream was extremely light which allowed for the chocolate flavors to be at the front. I have been to nice and experimental restaurants where the food is more focused on being creative flavor wise opposed to just doing food on an elevated level. Everything we had was consistently good, with nothing letting us down. You can taste how the Chef has thoughtfully paired flavors to complement each other rather than to compete. The staff was also very attentive. Our waters were always full, the food was delivered at a good pace to allow for conversation while also not waiting too long. The kitchen also handled our peanut allergy great by verbally confirming that each dish had been prepared safely from allergens. I would love to come back again if I visit the area again, especially to try a new seasonal menu. Thank you for serving us an experience that we will look back on during our visit to Bentonville.

Bentonville NWA on Saturday evening! We had a beautiful dinner at The Preacher's Son. A Restaurant converted from a Christian church! Miracles do exist! Beautiful design and atmosphere! Lovely wait staff! Lindsay was ours and she was knowledgeable, charismatic, helpful, and gave us a nice list of things to do in BV! Amazing meal, innovative dishes, and yummy desserts! Loved the kale salad, innovative burrata on French toast w shaved fennel, creative pork porterhouse, lemon ice cream, and more! Do wish they have a few more selections on the menu! Perhaps more pasta dishes, esp long pastas for that slurping satisfaction! Excellent NWA Ozark lager!

Excellent restaurant with fantastic food. This was my second time visiting this restaurant and was wowed both times. Both times I sat at the bar, so I cannot comment on the table service. However, if it's anything like the bar service, then it is excellent. I enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits. My colleague thought the world of the Bolognese. I would highly recommend dining here to anyone visiting the Bentonville area.

Service/ambiance - 5 stars Really nice environment. Great service. Unrelated but wish the wine list was better. Delicata Fritters - 3 stars Too much sauce. Burrata needed a little salt. Unique dish and flavor combinations I haven't had before. Could be great but not there yet. Needs work. DC Burrata - 3 stars Too sweet and too oily. Generous prosciutto portions. Good fry on the squash. Half chicken - 4 stars Very good. Great cook on chicken and sides and well seasoned. Green curry - 2 stars This feels like a really promising dish but ours tonight just had too much acidity.

I have lived in Bentonville for 15 years growing up, moved away, came back and knew I had to hit preachers son. The ambiance is impeccable. So unique. The food is every classic dish elevated with a twist. Wait staff was so pleasantly calm and intuitive. Great Bentonville gem

Well, as you can see, I am giving Conifer a 5-star review. So, it obviously wasn't an issue. In fact, to the contrary: If we would've canceled our reservation, we would've missed out on a fantastic meal and an absolutely lovely experience! The atmosphere is open and modern, but it also manages to feel warm, cozy and subdued. The chairs at the tables are super comfortable, and it's easy to carry on a quiet conversation throughout the meal. The cocktail selection is high-end and fabulous. We sat at the bar to wait for our table to be ready, and that is a well-run show. We both loved our drinks. Our server was excellent: informed, accessible and spent just the right amount of time with us at every turn. We had the cheddar biscuits and this flavored butter situation, the likes of which I've never experienced (and believe me, I've had a lot of butter in my time!). My husband said a couple days later, that he's still convinced there was accidentally gluten in those biscuits. There was NOT -- he just can't account for why they were so good. We both got fantastic entrees, and here is my only critique of the evening. Our roasted/grilled meats were absolutely DELISH, and they both came with sauce and nuts. Way, way too many nuts! For budgetary purposes alone, I'd think the chef wouldn't want to serve that many pine nuts to someone (but the pine nut chili crisp was unique and amazing). I shoved about half the nuts to the side and still had plenty. My husband's dish had the same issue, but with almonds. We figured between our plates, we had about $20 worth of nuts alone, lol. For dessert, we got the ice creams, and holy goodness! They stopped us in our tracks, they were so good. Creamy as all get-out and lusciously flavored. So, if you have a gluten intolerance or allergy, go to Conifer. If you can eat anything in the world, also go to Conifer!

For our entree we got the bbq for two, the chicken tasted like they tried too hard to get the smoke flavor, the baked beans were just straight up bad - I don't think they used the right beans, the slaw was not slaw-ing, the pulled pork was ok if you changed your mindset to it being a roast, the ribs weren't memorable. Now this is coming from someone who grew up in Memphis and knows about good bbq so maybe I'm being too harsh and it's my fault that I order bbq from a non bbq restaurant, but imo if you're gonna serve it, do it right or take it off the menu.
