Awesome little restaurant right at the Bentonville, Arkansas Airport in the Legends Air Terminal! The restaurant is named after famous female aviator Louise Thaden, which is a pretty cool piece of local aviation history. We were in a bit of a hurry since we needed to get back to Austin, so we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered there. Service was great and everything moved along quickly. I ordered the avocado toast with scrambled eggs, while my buddy went for the famous "$200 Burger!" My avocado toast was good--not the best I've ever had, but definitely solid. The avocado was fresh, the pickled onions were spot-on, and the scrambled eggs were pretty good. I would have preferred the eggs to be a little fluffier, though. The biggest downside was the bread. It was a bit tough and difficult to cut and bite through. My buddy said the burger was great--juicy and exactly what he was looking for. The views are definitely one of the highlights here. The restaurant looks out over the runway, taxiways, and terminal entrance, so you get a pretty cool aviation backdrop while you eat. And the sign as you walk into the terminal from the tarmac reads "Gateway to the Ozarks!" Pretty darn cool. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. Asked for a good recommendation and was given the Cubano. Horrible! Worst I've ever had. Completely dry and the bread seemed stale. Meat was hard and dry as well. Small portions and a bit pricey for what you receive. Kids chicken was not great either. Been wanting to try this place for years, but something always kept me away. Now I know why. Not to mention the service. No check-in's (how's everything going, do you like the food, etc.) Mo refills on waters or asking if we needed anything else. Just dropped the check and left. Such a unique brunch spot! It's in an airport hangar with a planes stuff, gift shop and nice waiting area plus a playground. We had about a 45-minute wait on a busy Sunday but between the playground, Lake Bentonville walking paths and watching the planes, it kept our toddler entertained. We sat on the back patio which was a little warm in July but fun for the plane takeoffs and landings. They forgot our coffees after we ordered everything at once, but staff was quick to fix that and brought to-go coffees too. The omelet with potatoes and the burrito were both delicious. Have been recommended to try this spot more than a few times. All we can say is to not hesitate! It's a small spot with inside and outdoor seating. Be sure to use the waitlist option available on their website. Since it's at an airport, Thaden Field, assumed it would be bougee and meals would be priced more than what you got. Far from the truth. The burrito is nearly a foot long and stuffed. DELISH! The cheddar crust put it over the top. The hangar hash was filled with seasoned and fresh roasted veggies. This restaurant is perfect for families! Request to eat outside, on one side there are private planes landing and taking off and on the other side is a big pond with a trail and large playground. The brunch was some of the best that I ate while in Bentonville. I tried three different meals: Takeoff Tacos, Eggs Benedict and the Chorizo Potato Burrito. Ok I'd really like to give a good review but I can't. Service was good Atmosphere is good. Food not so much. I'll cut to the chase. Get a good short order cook. Doesn't have to be a chef. Just some who knows how to put out good food. Everything we ordered was over cooked. Toast was burnt. My eggs were crispy. Bacon was brittle. My dining companion had an omelette. It was sodden. How do you make an omelette sodden you ask. Well load it up with cheese and over cook it. It had no flavor. It was inedible. And please lay off the salt. The potatoes had a weeks allowance of sodium. The grilled cheese was good but it came out on simple white bread and I would have loved a choice of sourdough or multigrain (my partner got sourdough as a side with his breakfast). But, it was perfectly grilled! It came with the house chips which were yummy. The view of the airplanes is so fun! So many items on this menu looked fabulous that it was hard to choose... I really liked this place a lot. It's really cool sitting next to windows and being able to see planes. To get started my wife got a Chai Tea Latte ($7). She said it was really good. The food was outstanding. I got the Chorizo Potato Burrito ($16) and my wife got the Hangar Hash ($15) with a side of bacon ($4). Both dishes were really good. The burrito had great flavor. I was surprised how much I liked the cheddar crust that comes on top. Lastly, the service was awesome. Jenny (Jennifer is she's in trouble or we're in danger) haha, was exceptional. She brought my wife green sauce right after she'd just told me, "I wish I had some green sauce for this." Very personable and a joy to be around. Thank you for a great experience. This place has been on my list since I started coming to Bentonville! If you're not familiar with the area and never been here the location can be confusing. There isn't any signage of where the entrance is for the restaurant. The restaurant itself is located in the building of the hanger which was so cool and interesting to walk through and see the airplanes and helicopters! The menu is simple, but what ain't broke don't fix it. I ordered the Reuben and was wowed by the flavor! The thick cut meat and sauerkraut was out of this world with juices. We flew in from Tulsa this morning for Sunday brunch. The airplane parking circle is brilliant! We were guided in and then our plane was parked and tied down for us! We did have a long wait for a table, but we ordered coffee and watched the planes coming and going. Best airport coffee we have ever had! The food and service were very good. First the good... I really liked the atmosphere. The building was clean and open with lots of windows to look at planes and the lake. Servers were friendly and kept me watered. Now the bad... My food was not good. Ultra greasy. I ordered the chicken fried pork steak and it was served with very little gravy and two barely recognizable sides because they were so greasy. One was burned and wholly saturated with oil. Maybe brussel sprouts? Tasted like pure grease. Ugh. I want able to eat but a couple of bites. I did finish the pork. Very mediocre and dry. I honestly hope I'm not sick later this evening from all the grease. I might return to try a drink because I liked the vibe. I cannot, however, recommend the food. read more

So the location is utterly fantastic, and our server was a delight. Now, there is the food.......My wife ordered the tacos, and I ordered the 3 egg omelet with sausage. My massively overdone omelet had no sausage in it, and my wife's tacos were skinny at best. This cafe features giant windows that overlook Thaden Field where you can watch various airplanes and helicopters take off and land while you enjoy your food. Great location, service and food. We called for a reservation the night before and left a message. We never heard from them so we showed up at our reservation and were seated right away. The outdoor patio is so nice watching and hearing the planes and helicopters take off. Inside the tables all face the tarmac which is nice too. We ordered the Spitfire omelette, the quiche with salad, the eggs Benedict and the breakfast plate. All was delicious and served very hot. Our only negatives were not being called back, having to ask for orange juice that was ordered but not served only to find that they were out. Also we asked for hot sauce and had to ask again.
