We live close by and visit often. The menu has variety but doesn't change often. I love the Country Fried Chicken. Served with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables and chicken gravy. What makes this dish special is the gravy. It's totally Southern and the real deal. It can get crowded at times so allow for more time on weekends. The dinning area is broken into three sections; bar, tables for large groups and normal restaurants seating. Great views of the golf course from giant windows. Today was our first visit, as we are new homeowners to Bella Vista, and it was quite enjoyable. We (hubby and I), came for lunch and were extremely pleased. We were promptly greated by Christine, whom graciously asked for and delivered our drink order. Within minutes, Christine took our lunch order. As we waited for our lunch to be prepared, there was quite a lot of yelling coming from the kitchen. Perhaps some verbage respect reminders would be helpful. Someone else referred to BV Bar and Grill as a "Brady Bunch country club". I get it. This place has wonderful 1960s architecture and ambience. It's open and spacious with huge windows overlooking the golf course. It's very comfortable and relaxing. We stopped in for a late lunch and ordered the cheeseburger with tots and a Reuben with chips. The food was hot and fresh, service was good and a couple of beers didn't hurt either. Mediocre food and the bar staff is, for the most part, lousy. Certain individuals have forgotten drink orders, forgotten to turn in food orders, forgotten to provide food menus after being asked and generally clueless on what to do next behind the bar. On top of all that, certain individuals are downright rude. We used to love this place. We are among many who won't patronize this place until the bar staff is improved. Used to be fun! We were looking for a nice date night dinner on a Thursday evening around 5:30, we were seated quickly and set there for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. No water, no nothing so we left. Poor service and disappointed. read more

We've been to this place a number of times over many, many years. This was the first time we went for Sunday brunch with family. Pros: very nice place; great golf course views; quick service (it was quite busy and we got our food in about 15 minutes); good menu variety and food. Cons: the only negative (and why I'm docking a star on my rating) is the music that was blaring over the speakers - LOUD rock 'n roll (we're talking Led Zepplin) for Sunday brunch with a dining room full of seniors, including my elderly mother who did not appreciate it! What were they thinking?? My guess is that the 'music' selection was chosen for the staff, NOT the patrons. Big mistake. Whoever is in charge of the dining environment needs to be more aware from the diner's perspective. Don't know if we'll go back. read more

Good food & friendly staff! Pro: Good size tasty sandwiches. Our group had a Reuben, French Dip and Turkey. All were very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Cheese Curds also tasted very good. We ordered 3 beers, and our server let us know a pitcher was the same price and there are 4 beers in the pitcher which was great. Con: fries and tater tots were just so-so. Not very crispy or hot. Cheese curds were overpriced for what you get. Very small portion. Atmosphere would be better if the ceiling lights in the main dining room weren't so bright. Not a major issue, but took away from a cool room. Overall a nice place to grab a meal. read more

While visiting Bella Vista in June 2024, we got takeout from this restaurant twice in one week. Yes, we really liked it. Chicken fried chicken - delicious with a nice gravy Tenderloin beef tips - tender and quite tasty Pasta Alfredo with blackened chicken- heavenly Carrot cake and key lime pie for dessert. Setting was perfect. Spacious but intimate for your large or small group. We got a high table by a corner window. Service was good. I feel like the servers name may have been Tyler but I don't remember (this visit was 3 weeks ago). We got wings, a house salad, a Greek salad, and two calzones. I wasn't into my calzone so much (too much cheese for me) but my father devoured both of ours and my mom loved her Greek salad. I also loved my house salad so much (it was only $4.50) that I went back the next day for another. 10/10. Would highly recommend and I'd definitely go again. read more

Sat at the bar right by the register where 2 people were working right in front of us for 20 minutes and no one would take our drink order so we left. It is a "go to" for my brother and his family who live here, and we go Everytime I'm informed a visit. I've eaten here 5-6 times never been disappointed. The food is good and reasonably priced. The cut of meat was satisfactory, but I think Ralph and Potsie unscrewed the lid to the salt shaker when they seasoned this cut of meat. The signature Bloody Mary is amazing (so sayeth my husband) and features celery, a variety of peppers and a freshly fried chicken wing! We have been regulars for a few years. We've been told by other regulars to check our bill because it's usually wrong. Tonight our bartender spilled my drink on me, left me with half a drink, and he said he would top it off. He never did. The manager would not make things right because we didn't say something when it happened and waited 30 minutes. VERY POOR management!!! You always take care of the customer, especially regular, weekly/bi-weekly customers. The manager handled things very poorly. There's a reason there is such a huge turnover in bartenders there - poor management!!!! read more

The only thing I have a mi or issue with is that their tables are a bit on the small side making it hard to fit a family of 4 around them. We went to BV Bar and Grill on 10/20/22. We waited about 10 minutes at the hostess station without being acknowledged. Finally, we grabbed menus, ourselves, because the hostess couldn't be bothered. We looked over the menu's and continued to wait. Finally, the hostess approached and informed us that she'd put my name on a list. The restaurant was 1/2 empty. After a few more minutes we were seated at a table that had been empty the entire time we'd been waiting. I spoke with the manager, and he laughed and said they were "busy". We ordered our food and drinks, ate and waited, and waited for our check. I paid and we left, disappointed in the "service". The food was fine, but the delay and lack of service, made us realize we could get the same food and better service almost anywhere else! read more
