    Chicken gyro and beef gyro

Been going to this place for years. It never disappoints. The food is always good. Service is questionable. The cashier lady makes people wait while she talks to her friends, besides that everything is cool. The ambience is pretty basic and relaxed. There was a piece of hair on my drink.

HEAVEN in a pita!! Delish! And reasonably priced for the value. Will be back to eat my way through the menu.

This was one of the best gyros I've ever had across the East Coast. It's located in the Quakertown farmers market, Which is a little cramped but the food makes up for it. The gyro meat was so flavored, soft, and tender. Its the melt in your mouth salty goodness I look forward to. They are open Fri-Sun so be prepared to wait for your food. It was PACKED.

Fries, left something to be desired.

Theo's Gyros is booth #434 located inside the Quakertown Farmer's Market, use entrance #21 and head left for a short distance. Stand is not large but serves a menu with good variety including Gyros and RC Cola products. Seating space is hard to come by with a few booths and several stools around the counter. They were BUSY when I stopped in and with the size of the booth; I think it causes them a few problems with crowding behind the counter and it leads to order confusion. My order consisted of a Gyro, Fries, and a RC Cola. The Gyro was good with the meat having proper flavor and just enough Tzatziki Sauce. The fries were fresh but needed time to sit, ketchup and salt could not help them. Napkins were far and few between for some reason and more condiments were needed within easy reach. Overall, for the quality of the Gyro I would come back for another but skip the fries.

Excellent Gyros. Service is not exceptional, but is as expected for the Q-mart. The gyros are not greasy or heavy.

The ground lamb didn't overpower the already expertly executed hummus and added fantastic depth and richness. We also sprung for the grilled calamari tubes and the chef did a great job of not overcooking while achieving an excellent char. We shared the baked cod and the spice was delicate and perfect. Using cured lemon was a very clever idea as the sauce was not too strong but still had depth; the saffron and turmeric were well balanced. The fish itself was NOT overcooked and flaked perfectly. The vegetables were also executed well and cooked so they could be eaten with the same bite. The star of the show was still the cook on the fish with the wonderful sauce. The sever gave us some Moroccan mint tea which was also wonderful. We will be making the drive from the Maine Line to just to dine here again.

The service was incredibly friendly and gracious and the ambiance charming. We started with hot appetizers of roasted artichokes, pan fried Halloumi cheese, Spanakopita and an evening special hummus with spiced, minced lamb served with warm pita. All so delicious we were tempted to forego our main courses of moussaka, lamb kebab and delicious lemon/caper cod served over a bed of roasted root vegetable. Desserts, celebrated with a happy birthday candle on a scrumptious chocolate/hazelnut cake , walnut baklava and Turkish coffee made the evening complete. This BYOB gem is a culinary find and we will be going back soon.

The food was very good. The Greek paella was delicious and the portions huge. The Octopus was a bit tough. So I came here again for lunch last week (5/25), and I ordered the fried calamari the Spanikopita and the grilled octopus with mashed fava. The mashed fava was delicious and has become my new obsession. However, I disappointed with the rest of my lunch. The octopus was tough and one small portion had a bitter taste slightly like vinegar. It could've been that it was charred on the grill And so it tasted a bit bitter. I still ate it trying to find a piece that maybe would have tasted better and tender and then that brought back a recollection of the last time that I was here that my friend and I felt the octopus was a bit tough. Most likely overcooked. The fried calamari did not have flavor. At $21 for the appetizer, I expected better. I have a hard time trying to find good calamari and I think I've been to maybe two places that actually seasoned the breading and the calamari was delicious. Not here. It also was not served with lemon. I've gone between giving them 3 or 4 stars but decided on four since I can't give 3.5. I'm basing my rating on the cleanliness of the place, the space, the service, as the young lady who was my waitress was an absolute doll, and the fava, paella, lamb kebabs and huge portions. Would I go here again, yes, I would, but I will try other dishes. I will not be ordering the calamari here or anywhere else again nor will I be ordering the octopus here again. Note: for lunch, I spent $55.45 for the 3 items, not including tip.
