It can be a little hard to hear in the dining area. It was full and the waitresses were busy. Speaking of our waitress, she was upbeat, big smile and easy to speak with. I do not know how The Perk does it but with the crowd they have, they get the meals out quickly. Competitive pricing. Owners visits around making sure everyone is enjoying their meal. We didn't make it past trying the beers. We knew the place had reopened under new ownership and wanted to give it a shot. We walked in and were seated promptly. Right away I noticed there were crumbs all over the floor. That's a major red flag, not a good first impression. Decided to try some beers. We placed an order with the waitress for three tasters. She informed us one of them was brand new, and all of their other beers were from the original owners. A minute later, another waitress came over and says that our server can't service alcohol because she's not of age and to give her the order. When I said one of them was one of the new beers she had no idea what I was talking about. Strange. What is most strange is that why is a server working at a brewery who can't serve alcohol? That's a new one for me. Let's just say the beers were awful. They were flat, tasteless and not entirely up the temp. We got up and walked out and went to the Trolley Barn across the street.

Sine's sadly wasn't my hometown five and dime as the owner of my hometown store passed away and the store folded shortly afterwards. Finding anything similar nearby was hard to find and bigger iniatives like dollar trees didn't feel the same. As much as visiting Sine's excited me, it also feels so strange and impractical now traveling to a five and dime now. As it's on the way to my New Hope adventures, best I can do is make a day trip out of it. It's a nice stop on the way. But it's still a five and dime. Please don't make a special trip, though I get it... that trip can feel like a novelty. Here, you can still find GI Joe's and Barbie to model airplanes and halycon Christmas lights and you don't have to feel pressured by cashless transactions. You can introduce your child to a more halcyon time in your childhood by finding toys then even household items and greeting cards so it can still be a one stop. And just like at Woolworth's, an active lunch counter is still here... at least until two or three. With how expensive it is to run a business, especially in Upper Bucks County, I am still impressed how these beautiful small ones still stay in the game without adjusting price increases turning away their target consumer. If any of this makes your eyes twinkle and your heart smile, go while you can. Patronize small along main street where Sine's still literally sits on main street in Quakertown.

It was delicious though. Creamy mascarpone, moist lady fingers, cocoa dusting on top. I am quite pleased with Pizza Bella and will return to try some other menu items.
