We did an extended Mother's Day celebration lunch because if your mom makes it to 85 years of age, you definitely want every day to be a Mother's Day celebration! I was a bit confused when searched for this place as there several places at the same address with the same name. Now I don't live in Pennsburg PA , but those who do obviously put this place on a pedestal...well, they weren't kidding. This play has an amorous menu and actually stood by their name. The food is okay. The service is subpar. I came in to pick up an order I made over the phone. Everyone in the back looked at me but proceeded to ignore me, although there was only 1 other person there that was already being helped. As more people came in, everyone else was helped except me. When I finally intervened, the chubby girl with pale skin and dark hair asked for my order #, to which I responded it was a phone order and I did not have an order # or total for my order. She proceeded to be argumentative because she said they always give out order numbers on the phone but are "not trained to give out order totals." I advised that as long as I have been coming there, I never received an order #, and I always call my order in. She continued to be argumentative, so I left at that. We moved from Red Hill last year and we miss Tosco's! Can't find good pizza in our area so we took a trip there for lunch and it was delicious as usual! Sadly a restaurant or review is only as good as your most recent dining experience... which in my case was absolutely horrible! I normally like to wait before posting a bad review and in this case waited a few weeks in order to try and be less critical ! One thing I loath is being seated and asked immediately am I ready to order when I haven't even taken my coat off or opened the menu...! After being jumped twice my son and I finally ordered. What was served to us was clearly nothing we had ever experienced previously because had we been served such low quality, poorly prepared and lacking flavor food we would never return! It's a shame that neither our waitress or the cashier were interested in our feedback as to how were our meals or dining experience. One would think if neither meal were eaten you'd ask is everything okay but our waitress never came back except with our check. When asked at the register how was everything and I replied not very good at all that we left our meals on the table someone would say let me get a manager but that wasn't the case. So we paid the bill over $35.00 and left leaving our meals behind and went to Wawa and grabbed a couple of sandwiches for dinner! I'm glad Yelp led me to this place. I was working in the area and while we were driving to the site, it didn't seem like there were too many options in the area. I stepped into this place and it was pretty busy. I guess a lot of the locals come here...and for good reason. Tosco's is one of those pizza shops that serve all kinds of neat pizzas. They had your standard plain cheese as well as buffalo chicken pizza, and I think I might have seen a dessert pizza too. I got a slice of the bruschetta pizza and a slice of the taco pizza. They both just looked too tempting to pass up. Both of them had great flavor, nothing too overwhelming. When you start putting unusual ingredients on a pizza, sometimes it just goes too far and doesn't work....but not here. The crust was cooked well. Had a nice, crispy, fairly thin bottom as well as thin crisp ends. I've definitely bookmarked this place for the next time I'm in the area. It's a keeper! read more
