My husband took me here on a Friday night as a surprise. When we got here, we didn't see a lot of cars in the parking lot since we arrived at 5pm when they opened. However, we were told it gets super packed during the evening. Our hostess, Anna was such a sweetheart. She made our dining experience so nice. So tonight I dined alone and the now ONLY place I want Chicken Parmigiana from, La Campagna Quakertown . I knew they took reservations because they are always busy, but I thought I'd give it a go. "Table for one please." Now I was hungry, like the twitchiness is coming on HUNGRY. I was told 15-20 minutes to be seated. But I waited. Why? It was the hostess's tone, the underlying message, like showing up very hungry at your favorite aunt's house. What was communicated but not said was, 'have a seat dear, you're not leaving here hungry.' The Chicken Parm was delicious. And of course I couldn't leave without getting cannolis! When I made a reservation, I requested 5pm and was told they were booked. My husband called on the day we wanted to eat there and there was availability. When we arrived, there were at least 5 tables available. I advised the hostess that I had a later reservation and wanted to cancel that later reservation. She was clearly upset and did not hide it. When we received the bill, all dishes were charged at a higher dollar value. We asked our server and she couldn't tell us why there is a price difference so she spoke to the hostess who promptly arrived at our table with a menu and pointed to the "fine" print which states prices are subject to change. If the prices on the menu were changed then the server should have been able to tell us why there was a price discrepancy but I feel the hostess did that as a retaliation to my last minute change in reservation. Service was good, except for the hostess who clearly held a grudge. Can only give one star because of the hostess and her lack of professionalism. read more

went to La Campagna for our Anniversary on a busy Saturday, May 10th. We shared the Calamari as an appetizer, I had the Veal Marsala and my husband had the Veal Parm. There is not a restaurant in the area where you can find food this good. We have been there before, and again, this meal was excellent! I also love the dimly lit atmosphere for ambiance. For as busy as they were, our waitress was friendly and personable. Also, they work together, as other servers would ask if we needed anything as they passed by. We ended the meal with a chocolate mousse cake with raspberry ice cream and cappucino. I like to cook (and have been doing so for many years!) and most times at a restaurant I think to myself "I could have made this better at home"..... Well, not the meal we had at La Compagna. The risotto did not fail our expectations with the tempura fish special or the sautéed salmon dish which is regularly offered. Food is good and comes in very large portions. On the night we were there, I believe there was ONE server to cover the entire floor. The sight was daunting. Regardless, the atmosphere is cozy and warm, and BYOB means you have total control over the wine you choose to have with your pasta dish or pizza. I've seen some poor ratings on yelp and I just don't get it. My wife and I just had a dinner there and everything was outstanding. I had spaghetti with meatballs and sausage and my wife had spaghetti with white clam sauce. We also shared a Caesar salad and fried calamari. My husband and I had read about this restaurant and were visiting family in Quakertown, decided to give it a try on a Friday evening. We were able to be seated quickly at 6:00 pm, and brought our own bottle of a nice Zinfandel. It was just perfect! Quiet, nice decor with red damask tablecloths, and a wonderful sopressata pizza with two salads. No corkage fees, very nice ambience, salads crisp and fresh. My family loves coming here. The drive is a nice ride through the country. The food is usually excellent and the risotto is usually very good with giant succulent shrimps! The atmosphere could use an update as it's kind of old and showing its age. The place is BYO so that is a nice thing. The bathrooms is usually very clean, albeit cold. Great prices for what you get. This place is much better than many city Italian places we have been to. My men love the chicken parm. The pizza is great too. read more

Then our entrees, good thing we ordered the small portion because even the small was way more enough food after all the apps. Can't imagine the large portions! A cozy and casual little Italian place and it felt like I had to go over the river and through the woods to get there. Once I did, I was very pleased with my meal. Many pasta choices, we went with a large group, I ordered the ground lamb & pasta with spinach, large portion $24.95, my friend ordered the small portion of Fungi, fettuccine pasta with mushrooms in a brown gravy type sauce $18.95. All the portions are very generous but ordering the large was a mistake, there is more then enough for at least 2 meals (but if you want a lot of leftovers, go with the entree size). We ordered the Italian antipasti $12.95, to share, which had a variety of meats, cheeses and roasted peppers, it was underwhelming. We also ordered the fried eggplant appetizer $9,95, with tomato sauce & mozzarella cheese, basically eggplant parmigiana but they called it Melenzana (Italian for eggplant). It had three big pieces which could have been a meal. We also ordered a dessert to share $8.95 pumpkin creme brûlée. Because it is BYOB, they are obviously permitted to charge extra for a sm. dessert. My husband ordered the veal piccata, which had a reddish brown sauce, not lemony at all, $21.95. This is my friend's favorite Italian restaurant but I didn't think I ordered the right choice because I would probably give them 3.5 stars. The restaurant is small, very dark, but the tables are not too close together and has bright orange & yellow walls in the foyer. The waiter was very helpful and the service was good. I would definitely go back however I would try the chicken Marsala next time. read more

If I could, I would give this restaurant a zero rating! My girlfriend and I went on a Wednesday night and it was not busy at all. Our waitress was older, had glasses, dark short hair and a little on the heavier side. Her favorite word seems to be "rectify". I asked for a Pepsi and it came out flat, warm and only a few ice cubes. My girlfriend purchased the Carlino and I purchased the fettuccine Alfredo. My girlfriend wanted to change the penne noodles in her dish to the fettuccine noodles instead. The waitress said that because the fettuccine noodle is homemade, there would be an up charge. For our appetizer, we ordered the fried mozzarella. The fried mozzarella came out with two small fried triangles for $10. For what I saw on the plate, it should have been $5, at the most. Usually fried food comes out hot, not warm. While we were waiting for our pasta dishes, there was a table next to us that sent back multiple dishes because their food came out cold. When we received our food, the same thing happened. Cold food, but also hard pasta. As in, the pasta was not completely cooked yet. Considering the up charge, why would anyone even think to send out undercooked pasta? We told a different waitress that we no longer wanted our food. The other waitress had strawberry blonde/red hair, younger girl and also had glasses. She was extremely nice and extremely pleasant! She was more than willing to resolve the problem. As we were telling her our issues, the older miserable waitress came over and budged in. We did not want the food anymore because it tasted horrible and yet she asked us "Do you want a box to take it home for later?" If we do not want the food now, why would we take it home for later? You would think that she would have something called common sense at her age. Even if we did take the dishes home, I would not even think to feed that to my dogs! I have more respect for my dogs than to feed them garbage. This is the first time that I ever sent anything back at a restaurant! Nothing has ever been that bad that I had to return it and could not even continue to eat it. I asked for my check. I'm pretty sure that with most restaurants, if you send something back that tasted awful, they usually would subtract it from your bill. Again, the common sense should kick in. The miserable waitress gave us the bill that came out to about $80. I refused to pay for the two pasta dishes. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. There's an Italian restaurant in Sellersville on Ridge Road called Fasegeo's. WOW! Fasegeo's was amazing! Go there instead. They know true Italian food! This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had ! We were a party of 13 in the private room. The owner took our orders . Another server tried to deliver a seafood lasagna to me and my friend sitting next to me. We told her we both ordered salmon. Then another server came out trying to deliver the same seafood lasagna to us. Again we said we ordered the salmon. She says very curtly , " well I send your server over. So the owner comes over and she has such an attitude and points to me and my friend and says " you two ordered seafood lasagna!" We both are a bit exasperated at this point and we both say, " no we ordered the salmon". She said it again! I couldn't believe it! Even 3 other people next to us confirm we ordered the salmon. She NEVER apologized! She said it was very noisy . Yes it was noisy but that would have been a good time to say she was sorry. Instead she says rudely, " well you'll have to wait for it to get cooked! " We say okay . We just wanted the salmon we ordered. About 25 minutes later she brings out our salmon and just hands it to us. Everyone else is done with their dinners. Still not one apology from her. In other establishments when there has been a mix -up the server is always apologetic and ask if they can bring some more bread or something to hold us over and comps a dessert or an appetizer. But not there ! She made the mistake and basically was calling my friend and I a liar. It was just horrible. It was my first time there and I'll never go back again. I can't even give this place 1 star but it won't publish without one. read more

Went there with a group of friends for a nice holiday get together. The wait staff was extremely inattentive, took over 45 minutes for them to take our order after repeatedly saying we wanted to order. On the menu they had a Caesar salad for $8.95. I asked for that with a piece of grilled chicken. My friends all had appetizers, entree meals and dessert. I only had the salad. When I got my bill it was over $25!!! For a Grilled Chicken Salad?? When I questioned how my salad could be so much when the regular salad without Chicken was only $8.95 the waiter rather rudely told me that I had "a salad and a chicken entree".. I said what entree? You put a piece of chicken on a salad. I asked for the manager and it took another 20 minutes for him to come back,put the check in front of me and say that he took $3 off and that was the best he could do! Who ever heard of a $25 grilled chicken salad? NOT amused with their customer service, their "don't care" attitude or the fact that they didn't tell me that the "piece of chicken" would cost $15 on top of the salad cost. My bill was more expensive than my friends who had 3 courses! Will never go here again, nor would I ever recommend them. This meal had the worst service of any meal I've had in my life. 7 of my co-workers sat down late in the evening for a dinner and we politely asked for bread because we were starving. We were told that bread was only served with the meal and that it was "corporate policy" and that if we didn't like it we could leave. After the dinner was over we simply asked for the logic of letting your customer wait for a snack to tide them over until the food came and the owner literally told us to "F off" and leave. I've been here countless times. The food is fantastic. The bruschetta is awesome. I always get the risotto special and I leave so happy. The portions are not big like most Italian places which is slightly disappointing because the food is so good. The gnocchi is handmade and melts in your mouth. The pizza is good as well. The prices are fair for the level of quality and freshness of the food. It is a family run place. It is not a huge place so if you don't have a reservation sometimes you wait. If you think Olive Garden is good then this isn't your place. This is authentic Italian. And their bread is way better, too. read more
