I attended a birthday dinner here. It's in a strip mall so plenty of parking. The large windows give lots of natural light. It has a warm modern vibe. The food was delicious. The salad had fresh greens and different eat kinds of olives. The penne in vodka sauce was al dented and the sauce was very good. The chicken and eggplant parm were cooked perfectly crisp with a thin coat of breading. The sauce was tasty. It had a good amount of cheese but wasn't covered in it. The desserts were a variety of bite sized cannoli, cream puffs and eclairs. The service was excellent especially for a group of about 20 with kids. Carmen was very nice and efficient. The bottom line: rich Italian food with a new upscale sheen and down to earth service. Our super nice waitress came quickly, got us water and drinks. We all thought it was novel that she then used an iPad with high quality images of the specials. We ordered buffalo calamari, which was flavorful, but not as crispy as we hoped. We did have to ask several times for our garlic bread, but it was warm and delicious, especially dipped in the calamari's blue cheese. The pizza and chicken parm sub (and fries) were all very tasty. We ordered half Buffalo pizza and half Drunkin Brooklyn pizza to go. I really like how it has really fresh ingredients. The Buffalo pizza was average in my opinion. It tasted like basic Buffalo sauce on chicken pieces that were put on a pizza. The Drunkin Brooklyn was disappointing since last time I got this pizza. The pizza had cheese that just didn't solidify when we were eating it. It felt like it would have been better with solid pieces of cheese. The order came with a side of bread. Haven't been here in a while...seems like prices went up and portion sizes are smaller. It should be one or the other. Our chopped antipasto had no meats or cheese. I haven't been to Bacco in no a long time and what a surprise. They have recently remodeled and it is just perfect. Modern and clean would be the words to use My meal was delicious and was perfect. The sauce was so good, along with their meatballs. Their bread though was amazing, I could have had just that. The other great part of my dinner there was the waitress. Carmen I believe is her name. She was polite, engaging, and really paid attention to our table. I always say if you remember your meal and who waited on you, it was definitely a place to go back to. Bacco Bistro In Doylestown has a beautiful banquet space The Cristallo Room and it is wonderful. I was lucky enough to have my birthday dinner with 36 guests there. The food was delicious and exceptionally fresh and hot for buffet service. The tables were set beautifully and the staff accommodated us with convenient spaces for our BYOB bar, with ice buckets for chilling wine and many glasses. The staff are so friendly and they made the night effortless for us. The desserts were delicious too! Planning was easy with one visit and one phone call. Have your next event there. Great Value! Great Service! Great Food! We've been going to Baco Bistro since we moved to the Doylestown area 2 years ago. The food is outstanding, the service is outstanding, but most of all it's the overall Ambience and feeling of family and friends that you get when you walk in the door and continues until you finished your meal. It is a great place to come and just hang out and have a fantastic Wood Fired Pizza with a nice bottle of wine, or take dinner guest for a more extravagant meal and more sophisticated pasta and seafood dish! We are friendly with the owners, Caesar in particular who once said to us" we are not in the food business, we're in the customer service business"! Tonight my wife and I came with a friend and decided to make a family sharing and start off with an order of the muscles Friday off low which had a really nice flavor and was glad to see that they all opened next my friend and wife shared the drunken Brooklyn pizza which they both devoured and I had to chopped anti-pasta salad with the chicken on top all fresh ingredients nice mix with the dressing very flavorful. Love this pizza shop in Doylestown. The Drunken Brooklyn pizza is my new obsession. The takeout service is good, and despite being a busy place most nights - and especially on weekends - they do a good job of moving everyone along really well. Their estimates for how long your pizza will take are usually pretty accurate. One caution, and I think this is more a reflection of how busy they are, is that you need to check your pizza box before you leave. On my last two visits when I ordered multiple pies, I left with at least one of the pies not being what I ordered. The good news is in both instances the mistakes were delicious. Just check your order before you leave. I think this is one of the best, if not the best, pizza shops in Doylestown. And because it's in the Acme shopping center there is no shortage of decent parking! read more

One of the few things I miss about my native Pennsylvania is the plethora of small but really good Italian restaurants. Seems like when I was growing up they were ubiquitous and you could find a great pizza place or sub shop on almost every street corner. Now that I live in Maryland I can't get a good slice of pie or a decent cheesesteak not to mention a stromboli. So whenever I head back to my roots I'm sure to check out a place like bacco bistro. Located on the northern edge of Doylestown in a strip mall, the bistro doesn't really stand out from its surrounding businesses. Inside there are probably 20 tables but there's plenty of space and you won't feel cramped. Every time I've been there the service was top-notch. They also always start you out with some complimentary garlic bread which is wonderful, crunchy on the outside soft on the inside and drenched in garlic butter. Today we tried the eggplant pomodoro, the homemade chicken soup and the cheese steak. All of it was very good. I think the cheesesteak rolls might have been made in house. Although the cheese steak was excellent the one minor flaw was that the cheese to meat ratio was a little bit off and you could taste a little bit more cheese than steak. In a perfect cheesesteak, the marriage of meat and cheese should be undetectable and just result in pure heaven. This cheesesteak was good though, and I would certainly eat another! Prices were certainly reasonable for the quality of the food and everything came out quickly. If you're in the area give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Just came into town from LA and wanted to get some pizza with some friends and I can say without a doubt that Bacco's pizza measures up in terms of quality to what we eat in Southern California. SWEET AND SPICY CHICKEN: Amazing. Very juicy, flavorful and with a small hint of spice. You don't even need a dipping sauce for this chicken it's so good. I still dipped mine in ranch. Our entire party was impressed with this dish. DRUNKEN BROOKLYN PIZZA was phenomenal. If you like thin style New York crust then you will like this pizza. This particular one we got had sort of a Ala Vodka sauce on it. I wanted to try the buffalo chicken but we will next time. It looked super good in the window. Their pizza here from what we ate is definitely 5 stars. Their fries were whatever. Just like any other fries. We definitely have better in So Cal with our garlic fries and sweet potato fries. The ingredients are very fresh and authentic. We can tell by the taste that it's quality products they use. Also service was on point. Very friendly workers here. I am not from the area and accidentally found this place last night. The mozzarella sticks and pizza were delicious! The generously sized garden salad was fresh and perfect. My daughter had the drunker gnocchi and loved it. We were a party of five arriving at the end of the night, a combination that doesn't always make for the best service. Not here! Our sever was attentive and friendly and did an outstanding job of taking care of us. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Doylestown. Highly recommend! read more

The drunken Brooklyn has been our go to whenever in doylestown. Last few times we ordered it, we've been disappointed. The crust was over cooked, black on all edges and on the bottom. Next to no basil was used on our pizza. I understand the cost of things are up (they had signs up explaining the lowering of the amount of chicken wings per order and the increase in cost for the smaller amount of wings) and if you're changing how you make the pizza be transparent about it! Also, whomever made our pizza HAD to know it was burned and decided to let it go to the customer when they shut the pizza box. So customers, if you're doing takeout check your pizza before you leave! On top of that, I don't know if the AC was down or something, but it had to be 85 degrees in the restaurant portion of the building. With so many awesome restaurants in Doylestown we won't be returning. read more
