Different Cheesesteak #1197. Christmas came early for the cheesesteak guy! I got a cheesesteak…read morewith fried onions and mushrooms. Let's get this out of the way, The fried onions can/should be smaller and the mushrooms got lost in the cheesesteak. But those 2 things don't really matter because this a very good cheesesteak. Coach's uses fresh sliced sirloin. I'm a sirloin fan. They season the meat. It tasted like steak. Good Liscio's roll. Good amount of cheese. I hate to say this because one guy working and he got slammed with orders, would have liked a little better cheese distribution. Gotta love eating by a fireplace. Very clean grill. Bonus video of Ed cleaning the grill. PS who knew Doylestown is straight out of a Hallmark movie?!?!?!?!

Both were quite tasty and they scratched an itch. The owner was friendly and welcoming and told us he likes his breakfast sandwiches on that roll also, but his favorite is the Cooper Sharp. I didn't even think of getting that kind of cheese on mine, but next time I will. "Melts right into the meat" he said. Ooooeyy gooey.....that sounds delightful to me. It was moderately busy on a late Sunday morning, but we didn't have to wait too long for our sandwiches to come out. We were going to take them to go, but thought it might be better just to stay there and not get crumbs all over the car. It was the perfect way to start our day.

Food was good. Nice portions. Service was attentive and friendly. We both had the NY strip steaks. Honestly, we asked for medium, they were more medium rare. Seasoning could have been stronger for our tastes. Starter soups and small salads were great. Vegetable sides were mushy and overcooked for our tastes but not a deal breaker. Will we return? Yes. Nice menu selections and also a rotating specials list.

It has a very "railroadesque" feel right down to the art on the walls and the high ceilings. I believe the building was originally part of the Reading Railroad, that, however, could be an urban legend but sitting in the spacious space, I would like to imagine it's true. We have come here a few times over the past year and really, REALLY,want to like the place (which is why we keep coming back) sadly it is one disappointment after the last. Slow service, cold food, orders wrong, etc. I appreciate that the staff always makes things right when there is an issue, but unfortunately, we've had a pattern of problems. While the effort to fix things is appreciated, it is becoming frustrating and uncomfortable to regularly have to send food back or point out the mistakes. When we go out to eat, we just hope to receive the correct order served hot and enjoy a smooth, relaxing experience. It's tough when the drinks sit empty for a long time especially when we try to get the servers attention and they seem to avoid eye contact I understand things can get busy, but we typically come during lunch hours during the week when the restaurant is quiet so it's disappointing that these issues happen consistently. When the food IS correct, and the proper temperature, it just doesn't meet the quality that we find elsewhere. It's almost as though they feel speed takes priority over precision. They just want it plated, and on the pass as quickly as possible. I've even had a waiter rushing to the table, literally dropping fries on the way. Again, this wasn't during happy hour or game or any busy time. Just a very quiet lunch. You know what they say about crazy... "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different results" I think I will have to call it quits and accept defeat rather than continue the cycle of insanity. I don't think we will be back to Station.

I'm writing this review to share my experience with customer service last night. I had ordered a pie to be delivered and it arrived not exactly the way I ordered it. I called the restaurant to voice my complaint and I spoke to the store manager, Joe. Not only did Joe offer to make me another pizza, he told me that he'd deliver it to my house personally, which he did within 30 minutes. I read reviews about poor service frequently, I wanted to take the time to let people know, excellent customer service still does exist. Thanks Joe, I hope your bosses know how big of an asset you are.

Their menu is displayed on large monitors which makes ordering a breeze. My father, brother and son have been on a Pizza tour all over the Tri-State area and Lucatelli's was our choice on a Sunday in November. We decided on a traditional pizza and a square grandma. I would describe their standard pizza as a cross between Trenton style tomato pie and traditional pizza you can find all over the Philly Area and burbs. The thin crispy base had the Tomato Pie influence but the abundance of cheese that would slide off is more traditional for eastern PA. The grandma was a square and was thinner they most I've had, crispy and overall was pretty good. I wouldn't put the Grandma in the upper tier but I wouldn't tell anyone not to try it. They also get a +1 for having a very clean and nicely decorated bathroom.
