This place used to serve great pizza and had a great staff. Complete 180 now with sub-standard pizza and a rude staff member who glared at me after saying no when I asked if they were making any more Trenton style that night since it was only 5:50pm which is kind of early to start winding it down. I sent the restaurant a note thru their webpage to alert them and a week later, no response. Poor food quality, rude staff member, and indifferent management/ownership = strike 3. Always the best. Never had a bad slice, sandwich or platter. I've been going to Spatola's since 1988. I've lived thru all the menu and seating changes over the years. I watched the Friday night blitz during lent with two phones going just taking orders. I watched all the brothers work there and every family member. We went and had a good time. The pizza tasted very good. We both got 1 slice. We were enjoying our time until we noticed one hair in the chicken tenders. We didn't think anything of it until we saw 4 more hairs. I really liked the place and the food tasted very good however the hairs ruined our meal. read more

This is my favorite place to get salads in the Chalfont/Montgomeryville area! So many unique options, my favorite is the pear salad and the antipasti salad. Pizza is decent. Rolls are yummy. Pasta is pretty good but a bit pricey imo. read more

I came here the other night with my two kids. We sat on the patio and shared a pizza. My son who doesn't like sauce said it was the best pizza ever. Excellent service and great food - the cornerstones of a local restaurant. Pizza has a great balance of flavor, light crust, but not super thin. Garlic knots are a must. This is our regular pizza joint in the area. Will never grow tired of their flavor. read more

This is the best traditional pizza in the area. Have been visiting here since they opened and it had several items I love. I am a huge fan of their Italian Stromboli & the cheesesteak Stromboli. The pizza is great and their Sicilian is a staple when I have a casual get together or party. I do like their hoagies and cheesesteaks but there are definitely much better options for those items nearby. Sometimes it is a challenge picking up on a Friday or Saturday night due to volume, but order early and plan to wait. Definitely a great choice for pizza in Chalfont. 12-20-18 Just visited for the first time since the reopening and had my favorite "special pizza". I have to say that it really was good but not special. I was disappointed in the lack of sauce on the pizza and believe it is possible that the sauce is not the same. I think that I need to try a plain slice to be certain that the sauce is different but I am looking forward to getting an Italian Stromboli. I ordered a medium steak Stromboli and added peppers and onions and an order of mozzarella fries. First, the price was roughly $42.00, which was just insane for two items. Second, the mozzarella fries barely had cheese on them- I mean barely. Finally, the steak Stromboli was mediocre at best. The quality of the steak was awful. read more

The other items were pretty good but the Buffalo chicken was so salty I couldn't even take more than a couple bites. Don't know if this was one-time occurrence or not. Essentially inedible. Called the business and s/w a Ryan, the manager. He agreed to give me a refund but going on 3 weeks now, never received it. So first, don't order the Buffalo chicken; overrated. We have been here a few times for delicious pizza, everytime! This time was a different experience for us. The service was meh.. our servier actually came up to us at one point and said -" I was going to go do something else but if you are ready I will take your order and get it over with." What!!?? That was the first odd situation. Then my husband received silverware and I didn't . Had to ask for it . Then I never got refills on my soda, no one came around to ask I had ordered French fries and they never arrived. I asked our server to take it off or cancel since our entree was coming up and she said should I have them prepare it for you to take with you. Hmm . No thanks. Fries don't travel and I thought we were having them as an appetizer. No one seemed to really take care of our table ..lots of servers running around but no one really paying attention. We ordered takeout from here last night a this just may be our new go-to pizza place. Spatola's greatness comes from its consistent goodness. I grew up in the area and living in the Jersey burbs now, it's hard to come by a solid cheesesteak. The pepperoni pizza tasted ok. It looked really delicious though (no burnt bottom). And my brother got a BBQ chicken wings sub... Line around the outside when we got there (no social distancing) and when we got our pizza, I knew right away it was not going to be good. You can order from the menu or they have several pieces by the slice available for you to point to and have within minutes. I had what looked like an Italian sub between two crusts. Perfect crust and delicious blend of flavors. Husband had a couple of different pizza slices. Great dining atmosphere inside and out (looks like garage doors that open up that allow totally covered outdoor seating area). Clean and friendly! The place was hopping by 630 on a Monday night. I stopped by to pick up a pizza and a calzone at this local pizza joint. When I ordered, the gal told me that it would be 45 minutes before the food was ready. I showed up about 25-30 minutes after the call (figuring that would be enough time to make the pizza and calzone), only to find a line out the door! The pizza wasn't ready for nearly an hour, but I would say it was definitely worth the wait. The crust was the perfect thickness, with a decent amount of crunch, the sauce was fresh and tangy, not too sweet and not too much garlic, and the toppings tasted fresh. Overall a nice pizza joint, but bear in mind the possibility of a long wait when ordering. read more
