Excellent little restaurant. We had the catch of the day which was excellent (blackened grouper). The house salad was fresh and tasty. The cheese grits that came with the fish we perfect (I'm not a southerner but my friend who is described them that way, I can only say they were delicious). The deserts looked delicious but we did not order any. One of our group got the burger which looked tasted amazing. They also served warm bread with a great dipping sauce. This is a great little place to get lunch. Dinner is a little pricey compared to other places, but well worth it!! The food is fresh and all the meals I have tried to date have been amazing! Just finished dinner at the Wild Olive. What a pleasant surprise! The salad was fresh, nicely presented and not over dressed. the tricolor tortellini while a tad salty for my taste was perfectly cooked and in a very nice cream sauce with cheese, spinach, mushrooms, and lots more. Great bread and olive oil for dipping too. My wife enjoyed the spaghetti and meat balls, and she's Sicilian! (The sauce really was not usual from a jar fare) For what this cost (under $15) it was a true bargain! The place is in a house and is a bit hard to find, there is no big sign but your GPS should find it. Plenty of parking and nicely maintained building. read more

My husband's boss is retiring so she picked this place for her retirement dinner. We've never heard of this place before in the 6 months we were living in Crestview. Food is amazing. I had the oven roasted chicken and it's to die for! The mustard grain sauce was the perfect addition to the potato, mushroom, and asparagus hash and I don't care much for mustard! My husband had the shrimp alfredo and the sauce was creamy without being overbearing. Also, the peach salad was wonderful. It paired great with the apple vinaigrette. And you got to get the desserts here! The Oreo cheesecake was the bomb dot com! I was so stuffed. The server we had was wonderful. I didn't get her name but she was super sweet and attentive. Fortuitous roadtrip stop! Wild Olive's attractive interior is the first clue you've stepped into a great establishment - it's a cozy home, turned restaurant with nice and classy decor. The focaccia bread with evo and spices was delicious. The soup of the day was Seafood Bisque, and it was totally decadent - creamy, well-flavored with large pieces of perfectly cooked seafood. We ate here only once so far. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. The service is fantastic and friendly. The food is fantastic. We had fried green tomatoes, pork chop, and one of the daily specials. We had two fresh slices of cake for dessert, and all of it was phenomenal. The owner does not serve alcohol in the restaurant, which is a cozy home converted for dining service. He does allow customers to bring in bottles if wine, which suits me just fine. Plus, they have a yummy selection of sparkling beverages like orange soda. Of course, sometimes you want a bottle of wine to order, but I respect the owner's stance and think the lack of a corkage fee more than makes up for any inconvenience. read more

Everything was fantastic! Great service and food, we were a little concerned on how the food will be or that it may be too bland, but everything tasted fantastic. Well, let's be honest, you order upscale food and you're supposed to get superb service...lmao...okay, so I called to ask if they had loaded baked potato soup today, the answer was yes...then I asked if she could email the menu to me...she told me she didn't have time. The bacon on my blt was partially cooked (yuck) imagine biting into a look good sandwich and get a big lump of pig fat. The loaded baked potato soup needed some salt and pepper. My favorite part we ordered bread...I'm guessing it was one whole loaf (a lot of bread) in the bad was rancid mayo, 2 land o lakes butter, 4 sets of silverware. We eat here nearly every week. The family that owns it also works it. The owners, as well as the wait staff are very sweet and treat us like family. My husband gets the ribeye every time. We weren't so sure about the switch from asparagus to toasted brussel sprouts, no need to worry. They are perfect. If you like pasta try the Chicken Tuscana with tortellini ~ woot! Mouth pleasure! First time here tonight, and it won't be my last visit. Our server Amy explained the menu and made selections very easy. We had the Smoked Tuna dip for an appetizer and it was marvelous. Dined here on a Saturday night, the night before Father's Day. I thought it was a quaint restaurant and had friendly servers. I had the special (grouper with grits) along with the Caesar salad and some of the seafood chowder. My husband had the pork, along with the same soup and salad. We didn't think our food was great, pretty unremarkable. I unfortunately, got food poisoning. This was pretty bad for me; but also for my husband who had to take care of me during the night as I had not only vomiting but also severe low blood sugar due to the food poisoning. We spent his Father's Day cleaning our sheets, mattress and flooring. :( I contacted the restaurant via email to discuss the matter before leaving a negative review and never heard back from them. read more

Not a bad place for a meal but it's not serving up anything that makes me want to run back and visit regularly. I've been four times now and have had something different each time. On my latest visit, I noticed that the menu had changed quite a bit, but a couple of the things I'd had previously were still there. I ventured out and got the special for this particular evening, red snapper that was blackened and served atop a mixture of spinach, rice, corn and pineapple. I don't care for blackened food and, when I mentioned this, the waiter eagerly offered to sautee my fish instead, which was a plus. I've been there a handful of times and usually their pasta is to die for but on a couple of occasions we have been there the food was very salty. We also had a large party there for dinner and the food quality was less than usual.
