We ordered Rattlesnake bites, and the Red Chili for appetizers and of course we had those delicious dinner rolls...so good. Ronight I had the prime rib and green beans and my wife had a ribeye steak with steamed veggies and a baked sweet potato...oooweee, so good. If you are in Crestview, stop by the Texas Roadhouse, the resturant is big clean, and great atmosphere for families or for couples, and oh yeah, plenty of parking places. Ambiance was welcoming, the waitress we had was AMAZING-wish to heck I could remember her name, because she was the best in Crestview. Got a chicken fried steak and it's been YEARS since I had one that good. Went here last night with friends, my 2nd time going. Went early by 5:30. The place was packed. We only waited about 15min for a table. They give you free peanuts while you wait. Once seated server came around quickly. We all ordered the 6oz filet. Drinks & salad came out first. I had Ceasars salad & the dressing was really good. Others had house salad, they were big. The loaded potato was huge & the steak was cooked as ordered, seasoned well & quite good, just enough. They have a lot of servers, so the tables turn over quickly. I will definitely go back. I see negative reviews but I did not have that experience either time. If you drink wine they have a Josh cab that went well with the steak & my go to Kendall Jackson chardonnay. My only complaint would be noise level, lots of people & piped in music a bit load. Couldn't hear the person across from me. I ordered "To Go" to take to my hotel and settle in for the night. The staff were very professional by reviewing my order to ensure accuracy and to ask was I satisfied with my order. My order was completed by the time requested and the food temperature and taste was not a disappointment but exceeded my expectations. This is definitely a place to checkout or visit if you live in the area. My wife ordered a Fort Worth sirloin and I had the 1/2 rack of ribs that literally feel off the bone with a mouth watering taste. I always like visiting Texas Roadhouse if I'm near the area. I was more excited for my coworker as this was her first time eating here and she enjoyed her meal. I'm a creature of habit at certain food establishments so I always get the same thing. Ribeye, salmon, loaded sweet potatoes, fresh vegetables. Service was great, Nicole, our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. The shrimp was great and rolls are good as always. However, we ordered a steak medium rare, came out raw, literally just a sear on it. Then when brought back to the table, it was obvious they just took the steak and smashed it down on the grill because when it came back it was thin and tough and almost impossible to chew. Ordered the medallion steak fillet salad and while it tasted good, there weren't the medallion strips in it as shown. It had very small diced up pieces of the steak which was extremely disappointing. It wasn't remotely like the picture on their website. I was extremely disappointed at the $19.00 cost for a salad with minimal ingredients and not much steak at all for the cost. Our server was great but made excuses for the small amount of steak on the salad. I've been 3 times since they opened, dined in once (great!) and carried out twice (not so great). They seem to have an issue with their carry out service (inaccurate orders, overcooked/undercooked food items, long waits). Although I'm generally very patient and tolerant, they are heading into their third month of being open and are still having these kinds of issues in this one area of operations, which is disappointing. Waited over an hour plus for a table but that is expect for a Friday night, took over 20 minutes to get my bar drinks, watched them sit at the bar the whole time. Got my steak and was extremely rare, server rarely checked on us and the manger was not caring at all that my meal was messed up. By the time my new steak was brought to the table the whole table was done for the meal so I asked if I could just get it taken off instead and the manger seemed rude about it.
