I really like Captain d's but the last several times I ordered okra, it was too salty to eat. This is the closest Captain d restaurant to us which is a 45 minute drive. My husband went and brought an order of okra for my dinner and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. read more

Walked into Captain D's for lunch and was greeted warmly by Jessica. She was very friendly and patient and answered any questions that I had. She brought my food over to my table and asked if I had everything I needed and to let her know if I needed anything else. I took a bite of my first piece of fish. Omg! All 4 of my fish filets were crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The hush puppies were fresh and had a great taste and the corn on the cob was fresh and juicy. The fountain drinks were sweet and fizzy and I will definitely come back. I have been to an over 50 Captain D's across the country and this was the best experience I have had. Special shoutout to Khalil back in the kitchen. You did your thing bro! You really put your foot in it! read more

just left stunk so bad we had to get our food to go. Mold on the ceiling, some of the celing tiles getting ready to fall. Got our food home about 5 minutes from there, husband couldn't eat his fish was raw in the middle so he threw his away. The store was clean, the employees were friendly and attentive, service was great - food was horrible. Couldn't taste the shrimp or the fish - everything tasted the same, even the hush puppies. 1st time ever eating here. Lobby was clean and neat. Greated quickly and the employee was nice and attentive. Placed order and received drinks. Food was brought to the table which was unexpected, but very appreciated! Food was hot, seemed fresh and NOT greasey!! I had the Deluxe and everything tasted very good. When leaving the employee who took the order wished us a good night. Overall experience was great. 4-stars because there's always room for improvement, but not much in my opinion. How does this location still exist. Every time I try to get food here I'm met with a silent drive through. Fine, thought they were working. No, waited so long I got fed up and left. It is good. The fish is very greasy than again I think it is that way everywhere. For the cost to quality ratio I would say the establishment lacks in quality with a high cost. I would recommend this establishment if in a time crunch and wanted something to satisfy a fish urge that is relatively quick and easy. If I had 30min to spare I would explore elsewhere for the cost and quality. read more

This place is not what it use to be. On July 28, 2019 I took my Mother there for lunch after church. She ordered fried shrimp and I ordered fish. Our food was brought to the table and on the second bite of shrimp my Mom pulled a hair out of the shrimp which was over a foot long. I immediately got the attention of the person who served it to us. I showed it to him and explained that it was attached to one of the shrimp that my Mom had taken a bite of. The server took the plate behind the counter and showed the kitchen staff. He said that must have been yours, referring to the young female in the kitchen. They prepared another place and served it. After a bit, the only female with long hair emerged from the kitchen to check the trash bin. I observed her hair color and length. I observed that her hair was pulled up in a ponytail and the long hair was swishing around. NO HAIR NET. ITS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT food and Beverage laws require hair nets when working around food. No offers of discount or other promotions were offered. And barely an apology. This place is disgusting. read more

I used to work at this location and was a loyal customer for the longest time, even after I left. But the food quality and service has went down hill very bad. Food takes forever to get and just doesn't seem like the staff wants to be there. This place has seen better days. I have not been back in a while do to feeling unwelcomed. read more

I will start off by saying I am a Captain D's fan. This review is by no means based on one visit. I am the last family member to continue to give this place a chance, but after today's visit I will be joining them and eating elsewhere. I really enjoy getting home only to find that my entire order was wrong. The guy in the drive-thru window should never be allowed to work in customer service. I have to assume the manager is just as bad or worse for allowing their staff to get away with being rude and incompetent. On three/four occasions I have waited almost an hour for food without so much as a "sorry for your wait". This includes going in or waiting in the drive-thru. Sure wish Long Johns Silvers would come to town. This location has gotten its last $$ out of me. If you happen to find yourself at this location, I wish you luck. read more

They were out of the lobster rolls, and the manager offered substitution, the cheese sticks, never tried them before but now I am a fan. The employees are so nice! And the food is really good. But What happened to the size if the fish fillets?!?!? And the portions in general? I spoke to the manager and he told me that they gave no control over what they get delivered.
