1st: asked Jordyn the cashier how to interpret the calories in the parenthesis... because beside the item it would say (810/440)... she didn't know so she asked the manager... mgr replies" idk, they don't tell me that stuff". And no it didn't seem to be the sandwich size cal count cuz both a 6" and 12" sandwich would have different numbers in parenthesis. So I said ok and proceeded with my order. I ordered a spud that came with cheese sauce... (see pic below).... I asked the girl if she could plz fill the cup up the entire way... she went to the back and the mgr who didn't know how to interpret her own menu board told her no.... The cup is one scoop and topping it off would be an additional $2.50. Really??? . Welp, Thanks McAllister's for going above and beyond to make your customers happy.. I decided to do the pick two option wear you get two halves of whatever you pick. I picked the salad for me to eat for lunch and I picked the half sand which for my husband... but this is not half a salad, it's more like a quarter because I get their salads all the time. We walked in and the place was empty. That was the first red flag. Not a single customer. The employees ignored us. No greeting, hello, nothing. They seemed bothered that we came in. We ordered our food and it was disgusting. I actually spit out the first bite like "what was that!" I ordered the potato soup. Barely any potatoes. The onions in the soup were uncooked. My wife got a sandwich and the broccoli soup. She said her sandwich wasn't good. She didn't like the soup, I tried it and it wasn't good but it was at least better than the potato soup. The sweet tea was mediocre at best. Would not be interested in going back. Would not recommend. Waste of $ read more

My wife and I travel for work and I always Like to find cool local places to eat. I had hoped that this would be one of them. Unfortunately it was not. First I have never Been to a sit down restaurant that asks For the gratuity before you are served. I put one dollar on the cc charge and Wanted to leave cash when I left. There Was a large lunch rush and I expected to Wait. However after one hour was still Waiting. When I finally asked about my Food they made it to go and sent me out. No sorry ,no comped desert. So I'm a huge fan of McAlisters, but I recently moved to a place where there is not a McAlisters location, so I try to stop by on trips when I'm traveling. So let me say that my food was excellent and came out fairly quick. I was greatly disappointed in the service. There was an older lady waiting on a to go order and there was a young lady working the counter. She seemed to be waiting on her to go order but after eight minutes she didn't take my order, despite the older lady's to go order not being ready yet?? When the older lady's order was finally finished, the older lady asked if she could add 2 cookies to her order. The young lady's mannerisms at this request were unprofessional. After this exchange, the young lady came and asked for my order and didn't smile or greet me and was just clearly in an unpleasant mood. I asked for an itemized receipt and after a few times of repeating myself I explained what an itemized receipt was. She then told me no one asks for those, so she does not know what it is. Frustrated, I just asked for whatever one it printed out as this was an incredible hassle. I definitely think there needs to be some training to be a cashier as I'm stunned she didn't know what an itemized receipt was as most businesses require these if you want to be reimbursed on a business trip when you travel. I think she was having a bad day which we all have, but I do wish she would've tried to help accommodate me more. read more

The food is always wonderful. There needs to be some focus on customer service though. The people taking your order smile but it doesn't look genuine. And today the older gentleman that took my order (he wasn't warring a name tag) picked up the top to place on my cup of tea and actually pressed the inside part to his jeans to get a better grip and then placed it on my glass of tea!!! read more

Horrendous service today... I ordered a pick two and the potato was barley a potato. The so called manger "Beth" was extremely rude when I asked to change my second item. She snatched my bag and said she would just give me a refund. I will NEVER eat at this location and I encourage others not to as well. DO NOT get catering from here, nor expect professional handling of managements errors. My family spent 237.50 for what was to be a ready to serve. 68.00 fruit tray, shabby included literal rotting grapes,1/2 ripened strawberries and flavorless. Errors in chosen potato bar menu, including missing cheese sauce as requested, with raw broccoli with hunks of cold butter. Manager denies broccoli is ever cooked for potatoes, though I knew different and cited their menu, first call. Second call, admits she forgot and when I let her know we have company here for granddaughters birthday and it was supposed to be ready to serve, that everything is cold and unservable, she laughs and sarcastically tells me I should "put it in the microwave for 2 minutes like they do"...and denied I ordered cheese sauce. I told her I don't own a microwave and that I had 20 people sitting here without their supper, as everything was cold, raw...luke warm at best and not even the fruit tray was decent. WHO tells a customer they should cook the food they paid for to be cooked AFTER denying that it should be cooked at all? I know what I ordered and spent 7.35 ea for 20 semi warm potatoes, raw broccoli, luke warm veggie chili and cold shredded cheese. Worst yet, SHE HUNG UP ON ME with another sarcastic snicker and an "OK!?" when I told her i was completely unsatisfied and embarrassed to serve it. My husband went back in to get her name and another copy of the receipt. She not only didn't offer to help make it right she continued to argue and lie about the darned broccoli and whether it ever comes steamed with potatoes, though she'd admitted it to me and still denied what cheese I ordered with him. Which was hardly the point. She had the opportunity to send him home with the correctly cooked food and save the party and hungry guests but chose to continue to argue. He left with her name and new copy of the receipt, even more upset as this was round 3 of the managers inability to admit mistakes and make it right. WHO chastises customers that paid a ridiculous amount for terrible food and worse, the most unprofessional, degrading behavior from management? I have never left a Yelp or publicly complained about any service. I just can't let this one go. It set a terrible tone for a very special party. It was a complete embarrassment to serve. I have been in the service and care industry for years and could never imagine treating paying customers or anyone, the way we were treated. We wouldn't suggest this place, especially considering the apparent poor choices in management and lack of common decency. Sarcasm, chastising and belittling instead of fixing your errors is a very poor way of running a business and the enormous number of dissatisfied comments in the "Crestview Word of Mouth" FB group proves that dissatisfaction is consistent for this McAlister's location. We could have handled errors and they could have been easily rectified 3 times in under an hour...Would always take excellent service over excellent food. Unfortunately we got the worst of both. Go to Niceville or FWB instead. read more
