I called ahead for a takeout order but she never said that there would be a take out fee. Then when I arrived, a group of girls were all talking at the register and I was completely ignored at first. The quality of the food was pretty good but was not worth the price. 2.5 stars, rounding up to 3 My main reason was for coming to this establishment was to get key lime pie before I had left Florida. I was able to get the key lime pie here, but it was subpar to other ones that I have had before. And, did not look like the key lime pie I saw pictures online for reviews of this place.. Definitely not worth the $3 a slice! Sorry to say. I also had ordered the seafood sensation, and the fried catfish with fries and a baked potato on the side. The the fried catfish was good , along with the seafood sensation, although I did think it was a bit pricey for what we got. The fries were fine as far as fries  go, and the baked potato have more cheese on the aluminum oil than inside of the potato, and there were no chives  on it either. The best thing from this place were the hush puppies. And those are complementary. I got a weird vibe from this place as well, from the other customers as well as the teenagers working here, although they were professional enough. I would like to say it's because I was just picking up for take out and not dining in, but its most likely because I'm brown. If you're white though, this place would be nice enough to eat at. Guess that's how you know this the real Florida, and not the touristy spots. read more

We ordered a variety of items and all were good. The daily special was good and very inexpensive, making it a good quick lunch place. The special is changed daily, offering variety throughout the week. Service is quick and friendly. It seemed like many customers are regulars because they spoke to each other when entering and leaving. And, even though this location is smaller than the last, it is easier to get to with plenty of parking. read more

Cutting Board This is a really good place if you're into 5th grade cafeteria's. I was sat at a table with other patrons, which was weird. I ordered the Stewart Street pile-up with fries and a salad. The salad had wilted half slimey greens. Then the main dish was just a few frozen chicken tenders with a piece of sliced cheese melted on top and phony bologna bacon pieces. I had hush puppies ( best I've had in my life), gumbo .. on point !!! and the seafood loaded potato with smoked Gouda grits !! I was not disappointed at all ! It was all delicious ! Ok, I wasn't aware that hush puppies were brought out to every table as an appetizer but after about 15 minutes of us sitting the waitress told us that they were making more and we would get some when they were ready. After another 15 minutes she brought us 2 hush puppies for three people and said they we would get more in a few minutes. ‍ A group of 6 comes in and at down and out waitress brought out 2 heaping baskets of them to the group of 6! BTW we never got any hush puppies. Our food came out after waiting about 45 minutes. My hamburger steak was so burnt that it was only edible because of the gravy on it. The sides were really good though (cheese grits and fresh corn). My sons sirloin steak was inedible, it was burnt and absolutely tasted freezer burned. I thought he was exaggerating so I tried it for myself and had to spit it in my napkins as he had done. The wife had a baked potato with seafood on it and she said it was really good. I've only been there once so don't have anything to compare it to. The wife says that was the second trip for her and doesn't care if she goes back or not. If I were to go back I'd probably tried some seafood as it seemed that was the thing they put the most effort into. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. read more

Local and delicious. The food is 5 star as is the service. After just 2 visits this has become our favorite seafood restaurant ever. And on Fridays after 4pm , Gigantic fresh Gulf Oysters on the half shell are under $5 dozen. And the fried shrimp are so big they should be called Shrimp Steaks. read more

Can never catch this place open. Google says they are open 11-8 on Saturdays. So does Yelp. You show up and the door says Wednesday- Saturday and they are dark. Always call before you try to go so you don't waste your time. Great food if you can catch them open. read more

Nan is phenomenal! We used The Cutting Board for our daughter's wedding and got to taste everything beforehand! We enjoyed everything single item. My favorite was the corn casserole, the best corn ever! Our wedding guests all raved about the food too! read more

They were slammed!!! My friend and I Got there at 11:45 and they were just about full capacity but after we sat down, whew!! Our poor server was running like crazy! This place is set up like a quaint diner with a couple booths and tables . There is bar seating but I don't think they serve alcohol, kind of like waffle house bar area. They had specials written up on a wall that we didn't see until after we ordered and unfortunately the server to busy to point it out so we ordered an app of fried cheese curds to start but unfortunately the server forgot. Our meals were good, mine was blackened shrimp tacos with a side of creamy corn, it was like corn and mashed potatoes mixed together, and a side salad that could have fed 6 with a delicious raspberry vinaigrette. My friend got fried shrimp and blackened mahi-mahi, also very good. We could have shared easily. We ordered off the lunch menu and it was a lot of food, couldn't imagine the dinner portion! I didn't take pics and I'm mad about that because the presentation was nice. Sorry. Oh and if you want sweet tea you had better taste it first because that tea was barely sweetened at all. read more

(Maybe not seeing EVERYBODY, but a lot) The seafood is fresh and cooked to order. This means the kitchen can be backed up (especially on a busy night), but at lunch it's perfect! Went here with my picky family so that we could fill our bellies with crab claws. It was delicious as always! The waitress was the only one working and she was running! Even then we still had lots to drink and the food was hot. She brought us hush puppies when we sat down before ordering just to wet our appetite. I think it was the owner that served us & she was absolutely amazing. I'm not a person that likes grits and she gave me a little bowl to try it was so yummy and had some bacon taste to it. Cheesy grits with some bacon. For hush puppies I'm not a big fan of them, but they we're actually pretty yummy also. They were soft in the middle and a little crunchy on the outside. Not some hardball that you can drop like a rock. I tried the coleslaw, I don't like super sweet coleslaw, and it was the perfect amount. It wasn't saturated and wet it was just right. I had mahi-mahi blackened tacos with that coleslaw and they added pineapple to it it was really good. I like supporting our local restaurants but some have gone downhill. This was a nice choice because we have very few choices in town. read more

We've tried this place 3 separate times. While we were always satisfied with our meals, we would leave hoping the service would improve. However, the service just went from bad to appalling. Prepare to wait an excessive amount of time for everything and do not expect any acknowledgement! After the waitress brought us our dozen oysters as appetizer, she never returned. The kitchen staff was probably the most friendly, delivering our food in an apron and a smile. Overhearing the other tables in the over-half empty restaurant complaining about the service, i realized I might be stuck there for an eternity if I continued waiting on our waitress. I settled up with another employee, left my first EVER X on the tip line, and ran out the door! 2 stars were given, because the food is good.... but it's not good enough for us to deal with the horrid service! read more

The wait was long but the food was excellent so it was definitely worth the wait. All of the servers seemed to do a great job even though they were very busy. My wife and I have eaten there many times and true the staff seems a little rushed sometimes but always friendly. The fish of the day is often trigger which is an excellent mild, white meat fish caught in the Gulf. My wife gets hers grilled and I order mine fried...always been good and the cheese grits and fries were fine. I will admit that once we ate there and the cook went crazy with the salt, but the waitress apologized and offered to bring us something else. I will not hesitate to eat there anytime, as a matter of fact probably tomorrow, but if they get lax on the service or food quality and quantity I will not hesitate to revise this review... read more

I consider this a hidden gem. Doesn't look like much and small but as soon as you walk-in your well attended. Love their oysters when in season and my favorite item on the menu is Andy's sensation.
