Gluten free brisket tacos
Marian G.

Very nice cafe, odd layout. Not sure how to enter, beautiful glass doors pushed in. Small menu, we went for the gluten feee options, but only had 1 option - brisket tacos, which was just okay. Our server was not very knowledgeable. Drinks were just okay. I ordered the 1/2 grilled cheese and added bacon, w a cup of tomato soup. Both were tasty, but soup wasn't hot, they kindly warmed it up for me. I ordered a cinnamon roll to go, it was also just okay. Nothing stood out to me that would warrant my return. It was an expensive lunch and I left hungry. This place is not for me, but many may like it.

What was left of the cinnamon roll lol

This little hidden gem was exactly what my husband and I were searching for. The food was fresh and made to order. The owner and staff were so nice and inviting. The restaurant itself was decorated so rustic and modern with an awesome backyard space for parties and large get togethers. Will be back soon!

I enjoyed the Wick and highly recommend. Food: Delicious and can feel the chef's touch! I tried the eggs Benedict and a classic swirl (cinnamon roll). The swirl was so flavorful and soft....warm and plenty of creamy frosting with the made from scratch taste. So good! The Eggs Benedict was done very well! I love the house bread it was on and the hollandaise sauce was so good and fresh. It comes with a side of potatoes and they are really good as well....kinda crispy and seasoned very nicely. Service was great. I was seated quickly and my server was wonderful. Very thoughtful and ensured my expectations were met. Ambiance: Really cute and modern cafe in a converted 1949s home in downtown Celina. I sat inside, but they also have a very inviting outdoor patio with plenty of seating. Tip: There are separate menus for weekdays and weekends. The weekend menu has a few more brunch options. Highly recommend the Wick!

This place is something special. It's warm and inviting when you walk in; the staff is very pleasant. The food we had was fantastic. Breakfast tacos are simple, but these were done so well. Also the swirl, what they're known for, was one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. Also, the iced coffee, blended at 1418, was perfect! Can't wait to come back.

Definitely recommend this restaurant! The food, service and ambience were good! Everything tastes homemade and they have a super cute bar area.

Absolutely awesome silverware!!

I have to give this place 5 stars for the following reasons. 1. The decor and silverware are absolutely fantastic! 2. The service is amazing! 3. The building and concept are amazing! 4 stars: Menu is limited which is fine if it's small because it's absolutely perfect and unique. However it's limited and not really unique or absolutely perfect. Food was probably a 3.5 (very good, not absolutely awesome) but they are trying hard so rounding to a 4. They could do so much with a limited menu at the $15 price point but need to improve.

Tacos for breakfast!

Great service and great food! The decor is very charming. They were featuring breakfast tacos so two of us ordered them. They were fabulous! We also started out with their brown sugar bacon. They were crisp, sweet and spicy. Yum! The mimosas were the perfect beverage with our meal.

Beautiful stemware and utensils set the vibe. The expresso martini was perfection.

Food: Location: Cost: Service: Time with treasured friends: Priceless This was an amazing experience and we can't wait to visit again. If you're in the Celina area, stop by for great food and drinks.

Absolutely amazing! The restaurant is SO cute, staff and owners were so sweet, and the food was out of the world delicious. Love the creativity they pour into their dishes.

Really beautiful and sweet local spot! The owners expanded from cinnamon rolls to brunch and lunch and sweets. We stopped by on a Thursday for a quick bite and enjoyed their homemade pretzels, roast beef sliders and potato salad (with an oatmeal creme pie at the end). The ladies were super sweet and attentive but also kindly gave us space. Looking forward to visiting in the fall and enjoying their lovely patio!

Finally tried for Sunday Brunch This place has super cute ambiance and amazing service! We thought there would be more bakery items available and flavors of cinnamon rolls but they just had a few available (original and maple bacon). Their selection probably changes from day to day. I had the breakfast tacos and my husband had the eggs Benedict. My tacos were huge!, comes with 2 and delicious homemade salsa. The menu is small, it made me wonder if maybe this was only bunch and they might also have lunch...? But I'm not sure if they even have lunch at all anymore. To conclude, this was a nice bruch experience but it's not our new favorite spot. I don't see us coming back anytime soon.

He was so warm, friendly, and welcoming, and took such great care of us throughout the evening. Tien recommended several red wines for us and they were all delicious. The calamari was excellent, and we especially loved the handmade butter. We also tried the spaghetti bolognese with vodka sauce based on Tien's recommendation, and it was honestly out of this world. The chocolate dessert was just as amazing and the perfect way to end our dinner. We loved sitting on the patio and really enjoyed the atmosphere and vibes here. We left so happy with everything, especially the wonderful service from Tien. We will definitely be back many, many more times. Thank you, Tien, for making our evening so memorable!

Extremely disappointing…read more We've eaten here quite a few times, but we'll never return. At a table for 5, 3 of our entrees were forgotten; the server tried to deliver something we didn't order. After at least a 10-minute wait, the 2 missing entrees arrived, but those of us who had our food were forced to eat before our food got cold. Almost NO apology from our server, whose service was lackluster and totally devoid of any concern for the messed-up food order. No compensation for the messed-up order. Food was average at best; the crabcakes were all breading and almost no crabmeat. Overall, an overpriced experience. We won't return.

Our server was attentive and you could tell that a lot of locals swing by because she knew a lot of people coming in. The seating is first come first serve so be prepared for that. They have patio seating for those that want to enjoy the outside. The inside has a bar and plenty of tables. It can be a tight squeeze at some tables but makes it feel more homey. For food I had the breakfast sandwich and it was good. Pretty basic but everything from the toppings to the eggs were fresh and cooked well. The pancake was good and big so glad I tried it. Overall it's a great local spot that I will check out again.

We landed here about a year ago, come in once a month or so for Karaoke night. We are always…read morerallied in by our friend who loves to sing and is an ex-professional metal singer. We love downtown McKinney and so many establishments have that southern charm, friendly service, and just love people. We always bring in a group of paying patrons. Early on we felt there was a clickish vibe, but never thought anything about it. We make friends everywhere, since we are travelers . Last few months we noticed a shift, bartender ruder, lack of service, the regulars shifting their gaze as if something was wrong. Last night ended that for us, and I'm sure they will be thrilled. Our bonus son chose to come here for his celebratory event. We invited a variety of people we knew, local talents, professionals, and family. Hateful comments about having a few balloons and party hats and how "you BETTER clean all that UP, I'm not doing it." We were treated with disdain. No service, each person had to get our own menu when we were ready to order, , and silverware after food was served, no one took our drink orders, when we went to the bar-our tabs were closed after each drink order. The bartender, Chevon, (who is always there) was rude and ugly to our whole group and to those she didn't even know was in our group. The new DJ, (Shawn) skipped over our friend twice. Chevron (bartender) who didn't know the person she was speaking to was my sister, said "I hate that guy, all he sings is rock songs." I mean... it karaoke. And that guy she's talking about has been bringing a group of people here for over a year. So carry on the "high school drama" there are a ton of places in McKinney that are lovely and welcoming. When you are hateful to singers, doctors, nurses, business owners, and veterans... that news will travel fast. And as rude and ugly as this review is, it's not near as rude or ugly as we were treated, individually and as a group. If you are gonna be bias to people, you don't need to be serving them. It's sad, because I know Karen and what Spoons means to her and her family. I hope they clean house and start over in the back. FYI (Shawn was a really nice DJ, he was so kind to people celebrating others.) But other than that, I wouldn't recommend The Garage for any new Collin County resident, any bridal party, bachelor party, or group celebrating anything... you can DM me and I'll give you a personal list of plenty of places to go. Many of them walking distance.

Mike, the owner, greeted us right away and made us feel genuinely welcome. When he found out we wanted to watch a specific college football game, he immediately turned it on for us. That level of hospitality is hard to find these days. As an added bonus, Mike treated us to a complimentary portion of the Brioche Banana Foster French Toast, and it was absolutely outstanding. The brioche was perfectly prepared, and the banana foster topping took it to another level. It was easily one of the best brunch items I've had in a long time. For our main meal, my son and I both ordered the Chicken and Waffles from the brunch menu. It was a perfect 10 out of 10. The chicken was light, crispy, and flaky without being heavy, and it sat atop a perfectly cooked waffle. Every bite was delicious. I originally planned on ordering an iced tea, but our waitress was so friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable that she convinced me to try a Bloody Mary instead. I'm glad she did because it was excellent and paired perfectly with brunch. What really stood out wasn't just the amazing food and drinks, but the overall atmosphere and service. Everyone made us feel welcome, and the attention to detail was exceptional. Honestly, I don't understand why this place isn't more crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will absolutely be back again. If you're looking for great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Local Open is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

I look forward to getting to use the virtual golf bay sometime, we are just usually on more of a time crunch. The bar makes a great mule. The decor is perfect for the theme and it feels a masculine version of sophisticated and relaxed at the same time.
