Came here for a quick breakfast - we enjoyed the baconator and avocado croissant sandwich. They don't have an extensive coffee selection so my husband got a cold brew while I got a dirty London Fog. Their patio is dog friendly and our dog got compliments from the waitstaff for his cuteness. Small cafe but a good amount of seating both indoors and outdoors. Street parking only.

Came to have some breakfast and I must say this was such a great tasting breakfast. I had a hammy Sammy sandwich and my other half had egg bites. I loved the coffee they served I had a latte. Great crozy indoor seating and good atmosphere. The work staff here was so friendly and nice. Overall I would give place a 10/10

I was hanging out on my friend's boat down at the La Conner Marina when we decided to pop up to The Wayfinder for a quick lunch. I'd been wanting to try this spot for awhile, so was eager to check it out. This small-but-mighty little cafe-meets-coffee-shop is the quaint little lunch spot this side of town needed. They offer housemade sandwiches, pizzas, paninis, and scrumptious desserts, in addition to bottled beer, wine, and cider. The couple who own it just took over earlier this year, and seem to be having a lot of fun with the place! We ordered at the counter, then found a table in the back. My friend and I shared a delicious tuna melt (with extra pickles!) and it was just what my hungry belly needed. We also split a slice of their heavenly creme brulee cheesecake, which was the perfect sweet treat between the three of us. I would love to come back here and try some of their other options - including for breakfast. They also have grab-and-go snacks, and a lovely outdoor seating area. Definitely check this place out if you're in La Conner!

To Die for Cheesecake Creme brûlée I cannot believe this hidden gem can give such a warm and cozy feeling, definitely stop by and enjoy dessert and plenty of option on coffee drinks too!! Will be returning for more

Really good sandwiches! I got their version of the Cuban and really enjoyed it, the flavors of jam, cheese, and pickles were well balanced

What a gem of a cafe! Stopped in for a coffee and found myself with a blueberry muffin in my hands. This is not your ordinary blueberry muffin, folks. I've never tasted a muffin so delicious! The top was just crisp enough to contrast the deliciously moist muffin. It was clearly made with love! This is a must stop for anyone coming up this was for the tulips. Next time, I'm saving my appetite for their food.

Stopped at this cafe after visiting the tulips in Skagit! This cafe was adorable! It was very spacious and has plenty of seating with a small outdoor patio. We got two different paninis (Harriett and Betty), both were delicious! Would recommend the betty since the onion jam that was on it was delicious. We got ice espressos which would have been a bit stronger but good nonetheless. The mac salad was refreshing and had lots of pickles! The service was outstanding. The lady taking our orders was so sweet. If you're in La Conner, I highly recommend stopping by!

Came for quick breakfast. Croissant sandwich with sausage, eggs, cheese, Garlic aioli. Also had decaf latte. The sandwich was good, but I wish the sausage was cooked differently. I prefer it pan-seared or cooked on a griddle. The sausage appeared to be steamed? or microwaved. But still yummy. Very clean. Clean Restroom. Very Friendly. A cute cafe.

We were wandering around and wanted a quick snack. We found Mayfair Market and I ordered their Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza after seeing another customer's order. This little pizza was mighty and packed with flavor without being a meal, or too heavy. It was tangy and creamy. The crust was very thin and the BBQ sauce on top was paired well with their ranch sauce. This was a delight and my group and I devoured it. We wanted to stay longer-we loved their dining room and they had a great selection of food and drinks! It was clean and the people are really nice. This was a great stop and we would come back!

The cafe was very busy when we arrived and had to wait about 20 minutes for an open table out on the deck. Due to how busy it was, I had high hopes that the food was good. Unfortunately it felt more catered to the one and done tourist - take their money with over priced mediocre food that certainly did not command either aesthetics or taste. What we ordered: 1. Fried calamari $18: this was the smallest portion on an appetizer plate with three calamari rings and a handful of what appeared to be minuscule tentacle pieces heavily battered to give the dish the appearance of "more". Bland and oily - nothing really outstanding here. 2. Captain's Platter $28: this was the most expensive item on the menu. I ordered it hoping that at least quantity wise it would be satisfying. It came with one fried piece of cod, one fried piece of halibut, four fried shrimp and fries. I have never eaten more bland fries in my life. They weren't even crunchy but soggy with oil as they laid under the fried fish, which likely was hurriedly plated on the fries without letting the oil drip off. The fish was overcooked for sure - the cod was so small that I was honestly offended. The shrimp - undercooked. 3. Strawberry lemonade $5: standard, on the sour side. The only pleasant thing I have to say is that the hostess and waitress were very sweet. They were definitely understaffed and I felt badly for them so I tipped well. But I would not go back and do not recommend - unless you like to waste your vacation money on this tourist trap.

Affordable lunch burger and a beer? Yup. Fancy date night romantic dinner with craft cocktails? Heck yeah. Combining a casual, marine-themed ambiance with quaint La Conner vibes, and adding in some truly delish food and drink, there are few places in the area I'd rather eat. My favorite here is their bouillabaisse, with big pieces of fish, half a fresh Dungeness crab, sausage, and all the goodness cooked in their house-made broth. All I can say is: try it. Their raw oysters are also a favorite, but I can't say I've ever had a bad dish here. One time I swung out and tried their pork chop, which was truly sent from heaven. Their wine list contains several affordable options - on one visit our group enjoyed two bottles of an exquisite rose. And if gin is in your repertoire, don't miss the Empress Aviation which is not only pretty to look at, but quite tasty as well. Their happy hour features incredible drink and appy discounts, including half price bottles of wine. And I'd be remiss not to mention their friendly, lovely service. We always feel special when we visit. What's not to love about The Fork? I'm officially hungry now!

Perhaps she sensed that I was interested in feeding my 20-month old son, Logan, something other than fried seafood. Everyone was great - like I was a regular who visited every day. They treated everyone like that, just genuinely friendly, kind and efficient. Oh, and in case you're wondering, I think that the tourists were out numbered by locals. I was a bit dismayed at the $8.95 sandwich price, but it was good sized for that price, and hey, it IS a tourist town. I had the Market Philly on the recommendation of a resident, and it was awesome. The meat was thin and fresh, and the onions & peppers (green, red and yellow) weren't greasy. They were nicely caramelized and all the juices soaked in to the bread without being too soggy. Bread I say because it wasn't a standard issue hoagie roll, it was more like a fresh baked bread in a flattened hoagie roll shape. I also had the "award winning" prawn chowder. It was good, more fresh vegetables, a few shrimp, and a strangely addictive and spicy base. Most impressive was that my son LOVED the soup. Or in his broken language "mmm. shoup. good. shoup. more! like it." He's never described is like of any food before, and he ate 90% of my bowl. I'd definitely go next time I'm La Conner for a quick lunch.

Isn't a half salad/sandwich combo supposed to be like only 5 buck or something, the idea of ordering the half is to save money. However, that was obviously not the case. Then when I got my food, there was only a small sliver of turkey on my sandwich, and my dad's side of potato salad... came in a freakin CONDIMENT CUP! .... you know, when you ask for a side of ketchup... yeah, his potato salad was in there... about a whole ounce worth! For starters, we ordered the artisan bread, a dozen oysters, and the beet salad. As someone who bakes and sells my own artisan sourdough, I was underwhelmed by the bread. I liked the touch of truffle they add to it but it needed salt. And it also needed to be on the table well before the 35 minutes we waited for it. The oysters were also not very memorable. I can't remember what one of the varieties was, but they were brinier than I care for but that's just a personal preference. The kumamotos were the TINIEST oysters I've ever seen. I've eaten my share of kumamotos and I know Japanese oysters are generally smaller and sweeter than other varieties (which is why they're my favorite) , but I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the size of quarter. I also didn't like the frozen mignonette they served as an accoutrement. It didn't seem frozen--it spread like jam. It didn't really taste like vinegar or shallot like mignonette should. It was just not very good. The beet salad was EXCELLENT. The chèvre was generous, the bitter micro greens tasted great with the beets and chèvre. It was well seasoned. We devoured it. For entrees, I had the dayboat scallops and my husband had the duck leg. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the leek risotto was very tasty. I'm not really sure what I was supposed to do with the pickled lemon on my plate. I tried to eat a small piece with the other elements and it was so overpowering that I left the rest on my plate. Now let's talk about the protein--my $52 scallop dish came with THREE scallops. Not even whole scallops as I'm pretty sure they were cut in half to cook more evenly. Three small 1/2 scallops and two cubes of pork belly. For Fifty-two dollars. My husband enjoyed the duck, but again, the portions were disappointing. $230 later, we ended up going through a drive through because we were still hungry. Unlikely we'd return after such an expensive meal left us so unsatisfied.
