Fish and chips!
Matt R.

Shambling around beautiful La Conner, I knew I wanted fish and chips and decided on the Waterfront Cafe. Nice outdoor patio. The fish and chips are top-notch. There are others I like a little better, but I would definitely come back. Great, fast service. I will be back someday!

What a cute, classic, traditional American spot in La Conner. We stopped by on the way to the tulips and the service was great. Limited seating so get there early. The view what perfect with the sun shining down. The food is simple, so don't expect anything fancy. The seafood is so fresh and very generous with their portions. The area is just so cute to walk around and enjoy the day with family. The bathroom is located outside of the restaurant. Overall clean and quick service.

I got really excited when I saw this place had vegan fish and chips. I've had banana blossom vegan fish before that was so good so when I saw the price point I thought this was something similar but apparently they are just frozen ones. Not sure if the were Gardein. Even though they were fine I could have gotten 3 bags of those for the price of that dinner. Service was good though and a nice view outside.

Food was really good! We got the salmon burger and the kids fish & chips. Both very tasty. Vibes are immaculate. You're right on the water and it's a great view -- can't complain! Service was very kind but unfortunately very slow. Great if you aren't in a hurry - we spent quite a bit of time waiting on drinks and then waiting for food and again waiting for check.

Fish & chips! Tasty and good.

What a find! Just polished off a fish & Chips and half a Big Elvis Burger!!! Taste buds were thoroughly impressed with hardy helpings of deliciousness! The fish & Chips were served up piping hot just the way I like them and and the big Elvis burger cake loaded with bacon, onions, pickles and Ortega's chiles and loads of cheeses! The breaded fish and chips are not traditional, however I was pleasantly surprised by their take on the beer battered fried breaded crust. Think of a seasoned breaded mozzarella cheese stick substituted with Cod! Delightful indeed.

Food, service and ambiance are excellent. Been coming here for years with my wife. When my wife passed they gave me a free meal of what we used to order together. Very friendly and thoughtful staff/ ownership.

Great food and service. We shared the lobster roll, clam chowder and fish and chips! All were excellent along with the view. Mom says best fish and chips she has ever had

We stumbled on this amazing little cafe one afternoon. It was a beautiful windy but sunny day. We elected to seat at their outdoor area overlooking the water and famous Rainbow Bridge. Our waitress was very friendly - she made us feel right at home as if we were in her own home. We ordered the Vegan Fish n Chips at her recommendation. OMG!!! They were absolutely amazing. They are so good, you'd of thought that they made a mistake and gave us cod. The flavors were awesome. Topped this off with an iced-cold Alaskan Amber. Great experience and definitely a place I will come back when visiting LaConner.

Nice little place! Not terribly busy, but with tourist season winding down, I'd expect that. Food was really good. We shared a captain's plate and a shrimp louie, and we each had a cup of clam chowder and peach tea. Service was good. It was busy enough the server was moving all the time, and she was really cheerful and helpful. We were sitting outside and the bonus was watching seagulls eat the leftovers off plates that hadn't been cleared yet after guests had left. The French fries were a big hit with the wildlife. We'll be back.

Had the fish and chips on the waterfront deck. Lovely setting with excellent food. I am going back for their seasonal lobster roll.

Great location with good service. The lobster roll is too shredded for my liking, and the 3-piece fish and chips is average at best.

This isn't a sterile chain shop--it's a warm, sunshiny hub built from beautiful wood tones, welcoming you to slow down and stay awhile. What immediately strikes you is how wonderfully curated the space is. Despite being "jam-packed" with thousands of quality used and collectible books, the store manages to feel open, airy, and inviting. The selection is fantastic, especially their deep cuts in Pacific Northwest History, general fiction, and esoterica. Browsing is a delight thanks to the meticulous organization that makes finding that hidden literary gem feel like a genuine discovery. The "Coffeehouse" part of the name is equally crucial. Serving delicious, locally-sourced coffee (like Olympia Coffee Roasters beans) and boasting a pastry case filled with unique treats--the legendary rosemary sea salt rolls, figgy bars, and baked goods are must-tries--it perfectly complements the reading experience. The friendly, attentive staff, who are clearly passionate about bookselling, are always ready to offer a recommendation or assist, often going above and beyond. Whether you're looking for a quiet, bright nook to get some work done, a comfortable chair to sip a vanilla bean latte, or an engaging evening out for a poetry reading or live piano music, Pelican Bay delivers. It's a bookstore with character, clearly beloved by locals and a mandatory stop for any visitor. It's the kind of place you'll remember long after you've left Anacortes. Highly, highly recommend!

I ordered what you see pictured and it was delicious! So much so that I doubled back literally the next day and was greeted with a smile and a "remind me of your name again?" I will say that the staff gave off some pretty strong "i do not want to be here" energy, which was noticeable and did affect the vibe a little. and for the price point, i expected to be a bit more wowed. but that being said, island pricing is island pricing, i get it, that's just kind of the reality of a place like whidbey. overall: decent spot, great dietary restriction options, food is solid. would recommend if you need accommodating menu options or want a reliable meal.

There is a lot of outdoor seating in a yard/garden which is perfect for families and pets in the summer. They bring out your entrees, but everything else is self bussed. You prepay for everything including tip when you order. They only accept cash, check, or Venmo. I came here with a group of 4 and ordered 4 entrees along with some baked foods and coffee. THE WAIT..... It took over 1 hour for us to get our food. I would take off at least part of a point for that. I'm not sure if we were forgotten but didn't hear from the kitchen at all during this time (or after) and I had to ask about our order myself. People behind me in line had gotten their food long before. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry that day but that is a pretty long wait in my opinion for brunch. Be aware that the line to order can be long and the wait to get your food can be long.
