Back again and still 5/5 Evan was great at the cafe and the omelette was my go to. Great potatoes as well.

Delicious food, and very friendly service! Loved how small the menu was, made things easy. The cioippino was very tasty, and perfect on a rainy day. The cocktails hit the spot and are unique. Regrettably didn't grab a photo of the breakfast sandwich - one of the better ones I've had in the Seattle area, and I eat a lot of breakfast sandwiches! Lots of gf and v options too

My husband & I spent 4 nights on Orcas Island. The meal at Doe Bay Cafe was not only delicious, it's one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The setting is gorgeous and the staff was kind & helpful. Thx for a special evening

Doe Bay Cafe is a remarkable place to dine in Olga, WA on Orcas Island. The energy at this place is very inviting, the outdoor atmosphere is beautiful and the people this place brings is a great vibe. The service and staff make this place a comfortable dine in and the food is fresh tasting. I definitely recommend eating here if you're on the island.

Service and ambience were excellent. We went for dinner. Bread so very airy, best dish was burrata w berries. Zucchini Tatin didn't have much flavor. Clams in white wine was tasty.

I've been coming to this cafe for 8 years and I always leave with complete satisfaction as well as the experience of trying something new. They craft their menu based on seasonal availability of local goods and it really comes through on the plate and palate. Don't sleep on the breakfast sandwich, trust me.

Beautiful view. Tip: go before 7 especially on a Sunday as they sell out of a lot of items quickly And change their menu weekly. Great service, everything was flavorful. The menu was all fresh and local and were good but needed just a few small changes to be a five star rating for me. Plating was also beautiful. -Mushroom toast was a little too toasted. Bordering on Cajun style. -shrimp romesco sauce was so delish we skipped the infused oil and put our bread in this. But the shrimp were a bit small. Could have been larger and juicer. -halibut was beautiful fresh and flaky but turmeric was a weird spice for the fish. Kind of overpowered and make it a strange color. Great corn side. -Limited wine by the glass list. My dining parter doesn't drink so no point in a bottle. Pie was perfect texture. So easy to have inside be too gelatinous or too loose this was perfect. The crust could have been flakier but was flavorful. If you're not already, the secret is using ice cold vodka and not water to your crust + only butter, no shortening. It'll make it 10/10. Would return!

Very small menu but everything is fresh and delicious with a view to die for! Will definitely be back. If only the cinnamon rolls were available on more than just Sunday

Best meal we had on the island. Fresh ingredients that didn't leave an unpleasant after taste or side effect. Beautiful scenery and friendly service. Worth the drive out to Doe Bay.

Leaven - Yummy flakey buttery cinnamon pastry. Not the roll I was raving about. (Photo is not at the business, to go order).

I've never had one so amazingly light, soft and perfectly just-sweet-enough. Wonder if they will ship them...? We stopped by Leaven for breakfast one morning on our trip getting a savory crêpe each and a couple pastries. Didn't even make it though breakfast before we knew we had to do a repeat the very next day because it was so good. Crepes are French style and are clearly made with skill and talent. The space is bright and cheery with very friendly staff. I see other reviews mentioning waits during busy times or complaints but experienced nothing of the sort. We were a bit off peak and didn't have that issue but I can honestly say I'd be HAPPY to wait for the food at Leaven. This is really something special and whoever is behind it has a gift.

Service was 5/5 very friendly. Bus your own table type of place. Drip coffee was standard. Does get a long line that fluctuates with ferry arrival times. We had about 5 people ahead of us and waited about 10 minutes to order. Brioche looked good and seemed to be popular; not really a brioche person so didn't get it.

This place is a charming cafe located in Friday Harbor…read more The food and drinks here were absolutely spectacular. We ordered a few lattes made with their in-house syrups, and every single one of them was incredible. We loved them so much we went back for them again and again over the weekend we were there. We also tried their chorizo burrito and donuts, which were both outstanding. I honestly want to go back to the island just to eat here again! The ambiance of the place is awesome. It is super kid-friendly outside, featuring a wonderful yard with plenty of toys and things to do, which makes it incredibly relaxing for families. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visits. I highly, highly recommend checking out Medio Cafe if you are anywhere near the San Juan Islands. It was so good, and it's an absolute must-visit spot that we will definitely keep coming back to!

We then tried to order a salad, and were told that oh also that wasn't available. honestly felt like they just didn't feel like making anything. The only real option left was smoothies and açaí bowls. We ended up ordering three açaí bowls for the kids and a smoothie. At around $15 per bowl, the portions were shockingly small--only about a quarter full with five banana slice and three strawberries. one bowl was missing almond butter. The protein* smoothie couldn't be made properly because they were out of the protein powder. They offered to substitute collagen instead - not the same thing but ok. no discount. no acknowledgement. I understand that restaurants run out of items occasionally, but between most of the menu being unavailable, the outrageous price for the quality of the output, missing ingredients, and the complete lack of an apology or acknowledgment, this was a very disappointing experience.
