At this point I just wanted coffee. Nobody was opened except these people. I had a mocha latte and a blueberry scone which was the BEST scone that I've ever tasted before. Better than Starbucks warmed up. Thanks to this place for doing it right.

Record the amounts on the clipboard. Add it up on their calculator. Pay by cash or check. We first encountered them years ago at Lopez Island's Saturday farmers market. Since then whenever we're on the island we frequent their farm stand. When you consider that they plow their fields using non-fossil-fuel-powered farming methods -- teams of actual plow horses, as their name suggests -- you feel genuinely happy purchasing and consuming their food. They're part of what makes Lopez Island a wonderful place to visit.
