Prices are on par with other coffee shops in the area like Isabel's but a tad bit cheaper since we got both drinks at a larger cup (16oz). I'd wish if they provided prices of the specialty drinks, so we can decide how much coffee we want to get to start our day here.

We went back both mornings because the sandwiches were so good. The only downside is there is no place to really sit and eat outside so you would need to take your food to go and sit in your car, go back to hotel or air bnb, unless it is nice out and you can find a bench somewhere. Overall, this place was a hit and I suggest you try it if ever in Friday Harbor.

Larissa only took over By Felicitations this year, but we appreciated that she clearly has extensive baking experience. We connected with her online and visited her shop for a cake tasting, and were were highly impressed that see not only had the flavors we requested, but several others she suggested based on our requests that ended up being our favorites. She even made up a fresh mini-cake on the spot combining our favorite flavors (almond cake, raspberry compote, and lemon frosting). And the cake we got on our wedding day tasted every bit as excellent as the samples she prepared. She also realized the appearance of the cake just as we hoped, matching swirling ocean colors with a geode motif made of crystallized sugar. During the cocktail hour our guests kept coming over to tell us just how amazing our cake looked! Her dessert bar was also superb, from home-made shortbread to moist cookies and brownies. She even made a rich, creamy tiramisu that did the desert full justice. We look forward to getting more deserts from her whenever we are on island, and enjoying our cake again on our one year anniversary!

I'm taking this place down a couple stars for a few reasons. 1. They charge $5 for a tasting. They will not go the extra step to make a sale. They assume everything they have is wonderful (it's not) and you should buy it irrelevant to whether you've tried it. We love wine tasting, exploring new wineries and vineyards and most places we go we've found that once you've started a nice conversation with your pourer and they realize you actually want to taste wine and not get drunk, and then buy wine, they'll give you a couple more options if you're interested. Not here - what you see it what you get. 3. It's over-priced. The wines were average for Washington State, but they were charging high-end prices. I don't know of many wineries in Washington that are selling their malbecs for more than $20 a bottle.

I didn't end up finishing it due to this, but I'd be willing to give it another try if I find myself back on the island.

The care and concern shown was fantastic. And, to top it off, the shop owner (?) came up and handed me a peach pastry that is vegan saying "It's not often that dairy-free people get to enjoy a sweet."
