You might think it would be a Big slice of meat with tomato sauce on two slabs of white bread, but not at Stacey's. Here it's a pita sandwich with a very light, flavorful but not too spicy sauce packed with romaine lettuce and fresh tomatoes with purple onion. The overall flavor was Mediterranean, sort of like Corfu Street food. And the steak sandwich was pretty much the same thing, except with entirely different flavors, including both grilled flavor and a peppery, spicy sauce. Both sandwiches were delicious, custom-made as we waited about 10 minutes. These guys know to add unexpected and fresh flavors to an everyday sandwich. From the hostess to the servers, McM's works very hard to ensure customer satisfaction. The staff is professional and gracious. The cuisine rises to its price point. Particularly noteworthy is their expertise at preparing seafood (which is a good thing because the Pacific Northwest is renowned for its seafood). Between my wife and I, our dinner had crab, oysters, scallops, prawns, salmon, and sablefish. All were prepared perfectly - nothing over- or under-cooked (of course the oysters, which were from the bay next door, which were raw and perfectly shucked. We mentioned it was our wedding anniversary, and our thoughtful server passed word of this to the people doing the nightly 'retirement of the colors' ceremony, where the MC mentioned it. That was a real treat. THE THORNS: It's partly because the resort caters to an upscale yachting crowd (which can be a bit boisterous after a few drinks), but the dining room can be a bit loud, particularly if you're seated in the back where the ceiling is lower. Try to avoid a table in this area. Another rather weird hiccup was they forgot to include the salmon that was supposed to be part of my seafood pasta entree. There were plenty of scallops and prawns and some crab, so I honestly didn't mind, because I'm actually indifferent to salmon. I did mention this to the server, and she brought out a small plate of perfectly prepared salmon in sauce. I was actually rather full by then, but the salmon did make for a perfect omelette filling the next day! THE VERDICT: The dinner was not cheap, but very good value for money. As resort area restaurants go, McMillin's Dining Room is actually better than one would normally expect. I heartily recommend this restaurant.

Despite the hospitality, the food did not really live up to expectations. I got the birria, and while it was okay, it definitely wasn't worth the price I paid. My girlfriend's scallop crudel was almost as pricey and it did not even fill her up. I believe the bill for our whole meal (including a mocktail) was over $80. This was definitely not worth the price point paid for, considering that we were not fully satisfied with that meal. Regardless, many thanks to the Monti staff for having us.

We love deer harbor inn and have dinner there almost every visit to the island. The quiet location, wildlife, and outdoor seating with a view of the harbor is hard to find anywhere else. Plenty of room that reservations aren't usually needed and it's kid friendly with menu items for them and plenty of room to run around while percents continue sipping drinks on the deck and enjoying the love piano music. The food is good - we usually get a seafood entree and always save room for the blackberry cobbler. Don't miss this hidden gem the next time you're here.

With the Scallop Crudo, I would say they called it Vietnamese Nuoc Cham sauce, but I think they were actually thinking of the Lao Jeow Som. Sauce for the Scallop Crudo was delicious, though. I loved how fresh the ingredients were. For drinks, I got a mocktail of their Amaretto, I think. I liked the drink, it tasted very cozy for the weather. Overall, dishes are all farm to table here.
