An eclectic "bespoke" coffee shop in La Conner. When we visited, there was actually no menu and the barista mentions he can make any drink for the most part, so we opted for a hemp milk orange latte which was pretty decent. I don't see hemp milk much in other coffee shops so this stood out. There's zero latte art and it's just a regular white paper cup so I didn't bother taking a picture of the drink itself. The cafe itself is pretty interesting, with a whole variety of license plates, pastry case, and other CBD products, and there are lots of seating. The downside for being "bespoke" is that there is no menu. $7+ for a 16oz latte is a bit steep and we don't know the breakdown of prices, so if anything, even if there's no menu, a general price guideline would be much appreciated. read more

Cookies were good, lemon bar and coffee was great, Ordered a grilled. Cheese with bacon added, they charged $6 for three strips of bacon, so $16.50 for a grilled cheese, and a thats just a sandwich, no bag of chips or anything ,was a bit suprised, it tasted good read more

The cappuccino and chocolate mousse were fantastic. Very cozy inside. Definitely worth a visit.

We actually planned to try a different coffee shop in town but saw Stompin Grounds and knew we had to try it. My americano was delicious, but the real standout was the cinnamon scone. You see, I was planning to save the scone to try later, but the sweet girl at the counter offered to warm it for me, so of course I had to try it. Oh.my.goodness. It was divine! The freaking best coffee shop. I am a coffee snob. I normally don't drink coffee unless I'm on a road trip. I search for places with good online pictures and a great reviews... so I gave this place a shot and I was NOT disappointed. This coffee shop has everything; great coffee, quaint & cozy vibe, wonderful staff, and bomb food! I tried one of their burritos and it's one of the most delicious things I've ever had.. and all made by the owner who was a riot!! I felt like part of the family walking in and the food & coffee held up to my snob standard. LOL. There are also so many fun local gifts to bring home to loved ones! We seem to have a knack at finding the best coffee shops in the areas that we visit! Stompin Grounds fit that bill in every way! Another local business seconded that we would fit right in so we headed over. Boy, were they right! It's a fun, funky shop with light-hearted signs and sayings. Once you meet Kim and her lovely "girls" as she calls them, you know why! Kim pours her soul into the business and provides great coffee and food items, which she makes herself. Jackie and Mary always had smiles on their faces as they went about their duties. We enjoyed popping in each morning to start our day, sometimes camping out for hours getting some work done since they have speedy wifi! I prefer to be out front in the comfy seating because I love people-watching and the bustle but there is a small living room setting if you prefer more of a quiet place to enjoy your beverage. :) read more

This is the worst place First of all.. the cute photos of a brown house with big windows is no longer this coffee place: as their sign clearly indicates, they stomped across the street in a shack which is a shame. The most unfortunate thing though is that the staff is terrible. When i walked in the young " barista " had a mask right under her nose (fine) and she lifted it like she was going to die. I tried being nice and said i liked the pebble art but she didnt even answer lol. I asked her what the James dean drink was (since the items are not listed) and she said shaken mocha so i asked whats the difference between that and milkshake but she seemed so annoyed. Truth be told; i wanted to know about a few more drinks but she was so thirsty to get back to her FB that all i wanted to do was run and hide so i just selected the milkshake and called it a day. Its not even good. Its all ice. The front yard looked like a white trash neighborhood mismatched items can be cute. But not here. This place is a disaster and while im sure the owner has some soul, the employees sure dont care for the business. Overall this was a super depressing outing that i wish i never did. Random road trip. Picking off the beaten path places to stop in and explore glad I found this one. This was well worth it! Coffee was excellent and the scones were some of the best I've had very moist and full of flavor tried the lemon / blueberry and the blackberry would be a serious do over for me. Don't know her name but the woman running the coffee bar was extremely pleasant to chat with and would say cared about her product she was producing. A little far from SoCal to frequent but the next time I'm back up here will be making another detour! read more

This place is cute but my mouth literally hit the floor when they told me that my 16 oz iced chai was $7.50!!!!! I asked the barista if the price was right and she said rudely, " I don't make the prices"'! It was Oregon chai too! Which you can buy a whole container of that for $5 to make 6 chais out of! I literally could not believe the price!! I get that rents expensive but Jesus maybe it's time to reevaluate if that's how much you're charging customers. No bueno in my book! I was a barista in Seattle for many years, so I still tipped that rude barista $1. So, $8.50 for a 16 oz chai tea that was 3/4 full of ice. Definitely will not be going back there!! read more

A local tribal police chief told me about Stompin' Grounds Coffee in La Conner, Washington. In town for several days, I needed a "go to" place for my daily coffee fix. Stompin' Grounds cheerfully met my expectations. I met the owner - Kim - on my first visit to this Mom and Pop coffee shop. Very cheerful woman and so full of suggestions. After running through several of them - anything from the Faux Cubano, James Bond, LaConner Fog, Kombucha, Red Bull Spritz, a Cuppa Joe and various Mochas, Lattes' and Chai tea - I ended up picking the LaConner Fog - named after the town in which I was visiting. In case you're wondering, the "LaConner Fog" is actually a tea with vanilla, hot water, steamed milk, and jasmine green tea. Two tea bags with the large cup - one tea bag should you order the small cup. Great taste and an interesting blend of ingredients. On a subsequent visit to Stompin' Grounds, I tried the "Faux Cubano." Coming from the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area of South Florida, I wanted to see how fake Cubans were made. True to form - or as I should say - foam, the Faux Cuban delivered an interesting Pacific Northwest blast. No complaint with this coffee. Polite staff - clean and friendly place with plenty of parking. Stompin' Grounds Coffee offers more than just coffee and tea. Try the homemade cookies, ice cream or free Wi-Fi. I was dying for a snack so I came here to get coffee and a bagel. You don't know what you're missing out on when it comes to bagels until you come here. It very much reminded me of an east coast bagel....melt in your mouth goodness. The coffee was also delicious. The only reason I can't give it five stars is I ordered the tallest coffee (to share with my hubby) and one of the staff asked in what felt like a judgmental tone if I knew it came with four shots (which I may have mistakenly interpreted as her saying that I shouldn't be having caffeine while pregnant). What a fun little spot. It's small, maybe only room inside for 10 or 11 people, there are tables outside if the weather is nice. The coffee is good and the ambiance is pleasant. Windows all around. We sat st the counter that's by the window and watched a squirrel eat his breakfast. No scones or muffins, but a few yummy breakfast cookie type options are available. I asked for a glass of water and they pulled a glass out of the freezer so it was nice and cold. They also have Lopez Island ice cream. read more
