A lot of unique decorations appropriate for the name "mad hatter". There was one girl working and she was helpful in letting us sample and try out a few different flavors. I settled on the coffee oreo and it was delicious. If I lived close to here I could imagine this being a local staple. Some of the other reviews hyped it up a little too much for me and while it is really good ice cream (and I want to try more of their flavors), it's not mind blowing. It's just great ice cream. They serve Edaleen Dairy Ice Cream, which is a really quality brand of ice cream. Edaleen is made in Lynden and the company seems to be very respectable and environmentally conscientious. Mad Hatters has a really friendly and welcoming environment and the workers (and owner) are always all smiles. The owner is extremely generous and involved with the community. When I was in high school, the owner frequently came to the school and would offer free ice cream after school. The school would set him up and he'd scoop everyone's ice cream and catch up with the teachers and students. He was even generous enough to bring several options to choose from. Even the teachers and principals would be waiting in line for a scoop on those days.
