Honey milk tea with boba pearls
    Karen D.

We love Sweet Corner! It's a fun little place to sit and wait for your drink or snack. The boba has always been fresh and the drinks are made to order. The croffle and bubble waffles are always freshly made and have been consistently tasty when we've ordered them. The staff is professional and responsive so it's always been a pleasure to bring the kids here for a treat. Glad you're here, Sweet Corner!

I just recently moved to Anacortes and have been having a hankering for some boba. I saw their beautiful mural of boba on the side of their building one day and took a look on yelp. I noticed there wasn't a lot of pictures so I took some that would be helpful as well as researched on the Anacortes fb page for some photos. The lady who was making/taking orders was so sweet and helpful when I had questions about Thai Milk Tea after having a bad experience elsewhere. My drink was made to perfection and the boba was perfect! Nice and soft with the best chew. My only take away is the drinks could use more ice. Other than that, I signed up for the loyalty program because I will definitely be coming back!!

    Brown sugar milk tea

I went to check out Sweet Corner a couple days ago and was pleasantly surprised by the experience! I ordered the brown sugar milk tea and enjoyed the tea. I got 100% sweetness and although I prefer sweeter drinks I might recommend a lower sugar level to others. The drink was sweet, flavorful, and I could taste the real tea inside. The tapioca was a bit inconsistent in terms of texture, as some pearls were more or less chewy than others. In that regard the tapioca was a bit disappointing but definitely not bad. The decor could use some work but they are also newly opened. Overall, I was impressed as a boba enthusiast and quite pleased to finally have a boba shop in town!

Finally, we have a boba tea shop in town. The drink tastes really good because I can taste the tea in it. There are a lot of options. Overall, it's a good experience.

Great Boba and friendly service. And great lunch sandwiches. Small shop that's easy to miss but worth it.

The strawberry lemonade with popping boba was an ideal treat for a 5 year old and my banh mi was a tasty lunch.

It's a no for me, dawg…read more I really wanted to like this place because we don't have any real boba shops around. So I was excited to support. But if you think this is boba tea, I'm sorry.. you've been lied to. My boyfriend and I ordered the PP Tea (Peach Passionfruit... and yes, the name is odd) 50% less sweet. Oh boy.. The drink tasted aggressively chemically and syrupy. Not sweet-cute. Not refreshing. More like melted Jolly Rancher with a splash of Red 40. I also asked about ingredients because of dietary restrictions, and the cashier (she was young) couldn't really answer basic questions about what was in the drinks/toppings. If you have allergies or restrictions, that's something to keep in mind. I wanted this to be good soooo bad. I love seeing more diversity in food/drink options here. But this just wasn't it. Hopefully they improve. But for now I'll stick to making the drive out of town for my boba fix. rip Edit after owner response: For context, I did order 50% sweetness. The issue wasn't that it was "sweet" it tasted artificial. I appreciate the acknowledgment about staff training regarding ingredients. That part matters.

I've spent time in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, and was more than excited to finally get a Vietnamese place back in Oak Harbor. I ordered the shrimp fresh spring rolls, pork banh mi, and beef vermicelli bowl. After dipping my spring rolls in the flavorless peanut sauce, the first bite overwhelmed my senses with the taste and smells of cooked shrimp that had been left in the baking sun for hours. I'm not sure how they recreated this flavor in late February in Oak Harbor. I tossed the spring rolls after the first bite. Next was the banh mi, which I thought would be the star of the show after seeing they made it the OG way with pate'. After biting into it, I was met with the shock of being dunked in an ice bath by the cold slices of fatty pork. Not room temperature, but refrigerated cold. It was one of the most unappetizing things I've ever subjected my mouth to. I popped it into the microwave for 30 seconds and it was about as good as it sounds. At this point in my culinary journey, my confidence in the vermicelli bowl was quite low. After pouring the room temp (Swanson's chicken broth??) onto the bowl I could only take a few bites before tossing this as well. I ordered 3 of the 4 non-dessert items on the menu (didn't try the pho) and all of it was served with room temperature or below meat (Danger!). Needless to say I spent the next few days in the bathroom as my body needed to expel the harmful bacteria. I also do want to say that my order was for pickup and I ate them within 10 minutes of being served to me. These were definitely not plated warm. After a $47 bill (they charged me a $1 fee for each item that I got to go ) I realized I should have just gone to Naung Mai if I wanted anything resembling an authentic SE Asian culinary experience here in Oak Harbor. The one good thing I can say about Trinh's Corner is that whoever is creating the menu is on top of the social media food trends. They serve a biscotti croffle, which is a desecrated croissant covered in preserved processed sugar. All the rage on TicToc right now, although I'm not sure how they will pivot when the fad dies down in 6 months. #stillwaitingforgoodfoodinoakharbor

I ordered the Chicken Pho and also Chicken Bahn Mi. I was very pleased with my order and thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Trinh's Corner on SR 20 in Oak Harbor. The pho was awesome, and this from someone that typically does not like soups. The light broth was tasty and the chicken was tender. The owner came by my table and welcomed me to his restaurant. I told him that I had never had Vietnamese food before. He told me that typically the diner would dip the chicken slices (or whatever protein) in a mix of sriracha and hoisin sauce. But he cautioned that it would be spicy. I assured him that I love spicy and proceeded to take his advice! The bahn mi was also incredibly yummy. While the pho had slices of chicken the bahn mi had cubes of chicken, as well as slices of cucumber, carrot, onion, and jalapeno, with spring onion and cilantro. The restaurant was very clean, bright, and airy. The staff is friendly, polite, and helpful.

I found this " vegetable and tofu" roll the most bland I've had. No herb, sauce , crunch.... I am a fresh roll lover, so a little discerning, but this was truly flavorless. Tofu, rice noodles, leaf lettuce and rice paper. Thats it. Like eating a carrier for too little peanut sauce. The pho was filling and came with a plate of bean sprouts referred to as "the vegetables" . The Vietnamese coffee was tasty but presentation awkward. It came as Condensed milk in a cup with a pour- over atop this and the separate glass of ice. I'm no expert in this ritual but I am accustomed to having the milk cold in the ice and the brewed coffee in a spouted vessel for easy pouring into the iced milk. Here we had to mix the brewed coffee, then add it dribbling and spilling to the ice. No big deal but awkward. It tasted good. The prices were reasonable and parking a lot shared with the strip mall . Not within the restaurant's control , but in circling for a spot around one lane, I was nearly backed into by not 2 not 3 but 4 cars. I think I recall a cannabis shop being in the mall or nearby. This may explain that. The service was friendly throughout. The place was empty but the time was odd. I don't think we'd return based upon the fresh rolls alone.
