I go here often as it's close to my boyfriends house. We've had a few experiences with bad burritos and breakfast sandwiches but coffee is kinda rare. I'm a barista of 3 years so I really appreciate good coffee. Today I had my drink made almost complete opposite of what it should've been and it was just disappointing. I ordered an iced white on white americano with 4 shots, caramel and cream. I'm not sure if the girl was new or what but she made my drink as a mocha which was upsetting as I can't drink milk in bigger portions. My drink also wasn't made with white coffee either, hence the color of the drink as it should've been almost white.

So...If I could give this place more stars, I would. I'm a big fan of coffee shops. If you look at my reviews you'll see just how many are for coffee shops. I love coffee so much that I have taken classes on different aspects of the beverage. So when I read about how their coffee is sourced; I had to make it a point to go on our vacation... plus it bears my great name, "Joe". We had an affogato, iced mocha, a decaf cappuccino, GF peanut butter cookie and banana bread. Folks...let me tell you...this espresso was one of the best I've ever had. The shots were pulled so well and the taste was amazing. The affogato was delicious. The mocha was incredible. Even the way they make their decaf is a pleasant and flavorful surprise. That banana bread was some of the best I've had in a long time. Just like my grandparents made. In case you couldn't tell, I highly recommend coming here. The industrial ambiance and the baristas make it all that much better.

Amazing food and coffee; I would 100% recommend it. It has a cozy atmosphere and offers natural food options that make you feel very lucky.

While on vacation in Anacortes, my wife and I were on the lookout for good coffee shops. There's an abundance of options in the area, and they all have their own charm. But there's something special about Moka Joe's Coffee. The breakfast was excellent - I had the San Juan sandwich, my wife had the burrito. And as far as coffee goes - outstanding. Cozy atmosphere, plenty of seating, and the staff are super friendly. If you're looking for good coffee and breakfast in the area, go to Moka Joe Coffee!

Lovely atmosphere. Cozy and warm. Nice place to relax with friends. Good selection for lunch and coffee is good too. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I recommend you give this place a try. Lived in Anacortes a year and this is my first time...I WILL be back!

Joe, you're not alone. But nobody else is charging a line item fee.

We thought the coffee was fine. I wasn't super impressed with darker roasts, but did find the barista and cashier knowledgeable about coffee. I would not buy whole bean coffee from them though, because it didn't look fresh at all in the plastic self-fill containers. I also want to highlight their unadvertised and very lame "supply chain surcharge". Moka Joe isn't the only one suffering from those yet they feel worthy of the fee? If it has been disclosed up front I would not have purchased. This knocks them down significantly in my rating.

Had a great cup of coffee!!

It's super good, my dad regrets not getting a larger coffee. Flourless peanut butter cookie was also a hit!

They make one of the best mocha shakes in town. But, too pricey for me ... they close too early too

Good sandwiches besides the good coffee. Wish they had a presence in downtown Anacortes that we could walk to.

In short Great roaster with the deepest imaginable local…read moreroots. In long There are tons of warehouses along Bickford these days, and if you turn down in and zigzag around a bit, you find a fantastic local coffee wholesaler with a retail outlet right here. They have a big lineup and unbelievable prices. Just the nicest people, too. I have been hearing good things about them for a while and meaning to stop in. I was finally able to combine this with some other errands yesterday. It's a small storefront with a few shelves and a big counter area. Not a coffee shop to sip a mug--a place to buy beans. There's a big sign on the wall explaining the exact roast level for each bag of beans they offer. You can order online and pick up, or you can walk in to buy. They have a bunch of blends that do really well. I avoid blends; I want the different flavors of single-origin stuff. I'm thinking now I should have realized that the rave reviews I see for this place are for the blends. I tried the Kenya, which the owner was proud to explain is their highest-rated offering. It's a good coffee, but not single-origin in the sense that they note how it was processed and where it was grown. They just give you the country. That's still an enormous step up from where coffee was when I was a kid, and it's an impressive effort for coffee that's a mere $11/lb. The big sign on the wall said this was a medium roast, and what's in the mug is very smoky and dark. Too much for my tastes, but I'm glad to have finally tried this place. I'm looking forward to trying the other beans and finishing all this up.

Absolutely the best coffee roaster in the area! It's a small storefront in a warehouse district,…read morebut don't let that deter you. They have a very helpful staff and they have decades of experience. Their coffee is fantastic and the only coffee we buy. It's a big step up from anything at the grocery store or big box retailer. It's easy to get to off the north end of Bickford Road near Sound to Summit Brewery.
