A lot of unique decorations appropriate for the name "mad hatter". There was one girl working and she was helpful in letting us sample and try out a few different flavors. I settled on the coffee oreo and it was delicious. If I lived close to here I could imagine this being a local staple. Some of the other reviews hyped it up a little too much for me and while it is really good ice cream (and I want to try more of their flavors), it's not mind blowing. It's just great ice cream. A lot of classic flavors and a few unique ones for adventurous folks.

I was so surprised to find they had licorice ice cream on the menu! This is a rare find! I paired it with the coconut in a waffle cone. Don't judge, licorice ice cream is better than you think! We actually made it on our way back and so glad we did. They have a lot of unique flavors. We just got a couple double scoops so we could try more flavors! Once Baked Cookie Dough (5): My wife loves the traditional cookie dough so this piqued our interest. If you've ever had a pizookie, its sort of like that. Sort of underbaked and soft. It was delicious! Coffee Toffee Crunch (5): Can't go wrong with a coffee/toffee combo. Their slow churned process makes this really creamy and delicious! Wild Blackberry (4): Curiosity got to us on this one since wild blackberries seem to be everywhere up here. I've had some really good ones and some really questionable ones. This was good. What I'd expect. What this proved to me was their sweet cream base is amazing and can be paired with anything really. Lemon Raspberry (5): Wasn't expecting much but this one blew me away. This was my favorite of the group! Sweet and tart and fruity all at the same time with no flavor overpowering another. Very good. Cold Brew Float (4): This is really just a cup of the ice cream of your choice. Then you grab a can of their cold brew and pour it on top. I went with their mint chip. It was good. The cold brew was good. This is something I feel like I'd do at home too. (and I think I will cause we're taking some pints home!) Overall, a great stop on your way to wherever. They have pints to take home as well. Luckily we had a cooler in the car so we took home our favorite flavors. We'll be making this a stop whenever we're in the area now.

We tried the blackberry pint, which was nice and not overly sweet, although I felt like the blackberry flavour itself could have come through a bit more. The pints are also a great deal, and I would have picked some up to take home if they had dry ice available. Too bad they don't, since that would make it much easier to bring some back with you. Overall, a really nice afternoon treat, especially if you can enjoy it out on the patio. Would definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

You can tell everything is made from scratch and with care. I have tried many of the menu items, and have loved each one. Their soups are amazing. I once read that a great chef once said, if you can make a good soup, you are an excellent cook. Judging by their soups alone, Sugar Mama's is outstanding. Their bakery items are addicting. I love all their cookies, and their cakes are scrumptious. And IMHO, they make hands down the BEST coffee in town. The staff at Sugar Mama's are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They treat you like you are family. They are welcoming and kind, and make you feel really happy and comfortable, so you enjoy your food even more. The ambiance is perfect. In the winter, you can be cozy inside with the fireplace going and a delicious latte. In the summer, you can relax on the deck and enjoy a delicious mocktail. They also serve wines and other beverages. I love this place so much. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit!
