I went in here this morning to ship back three boxes to Amazon and they were going to the same address which couldn't be placed in three separate boxes I learned. The wonderful staff member named Emanuel Arnaza kindly gave a couple suggestions... Purchase a separate large box for all three but as he was logically thinking he maneuvered the boxes in the one large box I had like he was working at a jigsaw puzzle and was able to place all three separate boxes in the one largest box I had!!! It was like he was a magician!! I saved $$ from having to purchase a new box and we had it taped up and ready to be shipped!!!! This is STELLAR customer service and he took the time to assist his customers!!!! UPS should be proud to have Emanuel in their staff team!!! Thank you read more

I would highly recommend that you have Notary services the full 7 days and maybe even 5 days a week could be greatly appreciated. I would recommend notary services at least until 5 or 6 that way some of us can get there after work. The prices are a bit high for legal documents, you might consider giving some discounts for multiple services and multiple documents. Thanks! UPS store located at 12332 Towncenter Plaza, Sterling, VA 20164. There are Indian people are running this business. This people are simply lier. I dropped 4 packet returned to Amazon. They asked me that I have to purchase boxes from them. So, I bough 4 boxes from them that cost me $49.50. Then I give my items to them. They did not put my item in their boxes. They said do not worry, those will go out today. But after one week, I checked the tracking number and found they did not ship the items. I go back to that store and asked them why you did not ship my items yet? They found that they even did not put my items to their boxes!!! So when they will ship is no idea. I took the boxes from them and dropped another UPS store. The other store shipped. But it was too late. So Amazon refuse to return my money. Simply cheater this UPS store. Parking for the store is not amazing. Last week when I was on a phone call in my car before leaving someone crashed into my trailer hitch, while I was pard with the car off. And she blamed me, because she didn't see my back up lights. This morning I had saw someone parking in the handicap space with a handicapped placard but drive seemed to have no physical incapabilities. She was looking for something in her Mercedes SUV. Then I went to have something notarized and the employees said the owner is the notary and no one knows when she'll be there. And then one employee said the owner is parking right in front. This needs a Zero Stars option. Stopped in today to drop off a package. I had a box it just wasn't sealed with packing tape. Jerk behind counter said he wouldn't take it without it being sealed? I asked if he had a roll of tape to seal it, then he said it would be $2 to tape it for him. Or I could buy a roll and do it myself! I have been here at least 2 dozen times and they taped it for me, for free! He claimed new management, new policies! Holy smokes. This location sucks, horrible customer service! I am uneducated on shipping items and the employees here are no help at all. They'll completely try to suggestive sell you their expensive items in the store, but they are no help. Take care of everything online and then drop off your items to a UPS location that's not this one. Or, go to this location and deal with the horrible employees who only care about your money. They weren't even wearing masks when I walked in. Very unhygienic. Seems like they don't care about spreading covid. read more

They charged my wife $37 to ship a 1lb box 12x8x4 to Pittsburh. Ridiculous! When I questioned them a bout it, they said that was their normal price. REALLY? I don't trust this store to do any shipping for me, you shouldn't either! read more

The staff was rude and the lady who notarized our documents did them incorrectly. Now the mortgage company is sending back the documents to have them re-notarized. Rather than reading the instructions for the notary the notary just said where does it have to be notarized and then charged $10 per page. read more

Wow, really rude people. I asked if they had tape I could use to seal my box. I already had a pre-printed shipping label. The young woman behind the counter did not acknowledge my question at all and proceeded to tap her finger irritatingly on the scale and said "I need it on the scale." No offense, but if you want the true weight of the package, shouldn't you put the tape on first? She proceeded to be incredibly rude and short with me as if it was such a burden that I even walked in the door. I won't go back there. I went there at 930 this morning and needed a notary but was told to come back atfer 10. I forgot and went back at 6PM there was no notary which was not the problem. There was a man and woman working and people were lined up so when my turn came I asked the guy if there was a notary and was told "no" and then he quickly tried to dismiss me so I asked theres two of you would ya'll mind just witnessing my signature. Telling me no was fine but it was the way he acted to me as he said no making it very clear I needed to get out of line and leave. I will never forget the crappy way he acted and stared at me. He was quiet rude. So I won't be going back. I never write reviews as I figure everyone has a bad day but this was just so rude. read more

I shipped a package on 12/28/18 at 5:39 pm. I purchased a small box and a large box for $8.14 to ship my item. The shipping receipt was packed in the boxes and they realized they needed a copy for me and a copy for the UPS delivery man to sign. Farsana had a copy made and wanted to charge me $0.27. I was surprised as they were the one to put the form in the box. I couldn't believe Farsana wanted to charge me the fee. She was adamant that she charge it, but the other employee talked her out of it. Farsana was combative and had a level of customer service that was unbelievable. She told me to definitely report her as she is doing her duty. I hope this is not a charge that the owner of this store would do. read more

I will say they do their "job" - but that is literally it. AND that is only if their job does not involve good customer service. I can't say that the lady(ies) that work there are necessarily rude, per say, however they do have 0 personality at all. I'm aware you don't work at an amusement park BUT you are getting paid to provide a service to a customer and customers love seeing AT LEAST a smile. Almost feels like you are being rushed out the door as soon as you open it to enter. Again, they do a great job of being quick and getting the job done. I hope girl who works there behave more respectful, every time I am going there she acts like she wants to get rid of me sooner, if I stay there to see how she is going to tape the barcode on my package she is saying you are done you can go. It happens always. Once I had trouble with my packages she told me she doesn't know and the boy came to help me to find out what's going on, and she started helping another customer as soon as she got two customers on line she asked the boy to stop helping me and ignore me and take care another customer which l and the boy were surprised. I am really upset about her behavior. She needs to improve her customer service. read more

Wow! So I had a very tricky situation to mail my daughter's prescription medication while she was studying in U.K. until the NHS system could spin up and handle the need. I was unsure how to ship the medication so that it would reach her. The UPS people could not have been more helpful. Not only that, they promised to help me resolve any issues that might arise in the shipment. The shipment tracking information was difficult to understand and it seemed her prescription was lost in the ether of British customs, but after I called this UPS store, they made some calls, figured it all out and she successfully received her medication. To say I was relieved is an understatement. The service was personal and couldn't have been more helpful. Three cheers for them! I am so very grateful. read more

UPS saved the day! I went to a shop around the corner and they quoted my $330 to mail my package. The merchandise wasn't even worth that. I tried UPS and Abraham worked with me to get it mailed for $45! He even went out to my car and carried my large package in. That's customer service! Next time this will be my first stop! read more

My review is solely regarding passport photo services. I needed a photo for a VISA application and stopped here because I had gotten my passport done a couple years ago (which was fine). However this time the young man took my picture (just one) didn't show me before he went to print it, put it in the envelope and I paid and left. Easy breezy and as far as the process it was quick and out the door. However, when I went to use the photo I noticed it was terrible quality. As in not even a clear picture. It was blurry enough that I was afraid it wouldn't be accepted so I went and had it redone someplace else. I would have returned it for a refund except that I guess it's my bad that I didn't look at it before I left the store and have him re-do it at the time. read more

As other reviewer mentioned too, the UPS male employee ignored my repeated request to use tape and seal the top of the box. Instead, he took the label I provided, placed it in an adhesive, clear plastic bag and place that over my unsealed shipping box!!! And proceeded to take the box away, even though it was not securely closed!! I told him not to take the box away and to add some tape. A female employee came to help him, by informing me that they don't provide tape if we bring the shipping label. I never heard of that before!! Unlike the employees at this location, employees at all the other UPS store I went to, are offering to help and always assist with providing extra tape when needed. The female employee said they would charge if we print the label there or if we need a little bit of tape. Well, fine, tell me how much the charge would be, but don't ignore my request and try to ship the packages insecurely closed!!! Terrible service. Will avoid this location in the future. read more

I went in here to mail a package and picked up an envelope and needed to know how much is cost to mail my items and the front desk cashier gave a haphazard reply it's at least 10 dollars and up... I need the exact amount and it took while for her to get the exact amount. Then she had the nerve what's in the package and it was for. Absolutely rude and nosy. We do a lot of online shopping in my family. Invariably there are items to return which have the option of free UPS drop off. Customer service has always been very good for us. In one recent case, we did not have a box. The staff packed the product, labeled it, and provided a receipt while we waited (no charge). read more

This review is not only for the store but for UPS the company in general: do NOT trust them with important documents that need to be delivered in a timely manner. So here is my story: we need to mail a check for earnest money to close on a house by the third day we signed the contract. We used the UPS next-day delivery that promised to deliver by 3pm the next day. Long behold, it was not there by the promised time. We called the customer service, was told not sure what happened, but they'll try to deliver it the following day, not sure what time the truck would deliver it this time. In that case, we requested the package return to us and a refund. Was told the store would call us when the package was returned and they'll handle the refund. went to the store, was told the same thing except that the corporate but not the store handles the refund. So in the end, no once really refunded us and after about three weeks, the store still hasn't called us and our package seemed to be lost. Only today when I remember this frustrating experience, I called the store again and they found the package. I called the customer service again and was refused a refund because "my case was over 15 days." yes, you are right, over 15 days for a next-day delivery, whose fault was that? so still no refund. One word of advice: just save yourself some time and loads of frustration with this place and the UPS company, don't do business with them! I'm glad we didn't lose the house because our earnest money didn't get there in time, but you don't want to be in our situation. We went to Fedex to deliver another check and it was delivered by 10am the next day. Done as promised. I'm not saying Fedex is more reliable than UPS, but that's so far our experience and it saved our ass! read more

They won't accept anything sent via email for printing eg UPS shipping labels, and tried to charge me $4 for if I used their computer to send to their printer. The UPS store in Herndon is a better option. read more

The customer service here is horrible, there is a reason why I avoid UPS like the plague and this store is an outstanding example of why this place should be shut down. If you come with a packed Amazon box for shipping get prepared for weird looks as if you're not welcome there. I was told that if you do not tape your Amazon box, even though my box was the size of a DVD, you are charged double. The representatives name was "Barron" which sounds fake, and she had a horrible tone. I will write a more descriptive report for corporate but for now, this place should get 0 stars. Good luck to anyone who happens to be forced to go to this place. The UPS store close by is closed down, with service like this I'm glad and I hope they all get shutdown and Amazon uses USPS or FedEx as their primary service provider. read more

I've been using their Po box services for 8 months. The level of ineptitude is baffling. They send me autogenerated emails for packages that aren't there when I travel a distance to pick up. Go to pick up package after hours and it's not where it supposed to be. If anywhere. Repeatedly. With excuses that lack any listening skills and are basically unintelligible. UPS, really? Would not recommend sending any mail here. read more
