From the minute I walked in the door, I was enthusiastically greeted, catered to and helped through the entire process of getting my passport to the right place. It was double checked, processed with photos and ready for delivery in 20 minutes. They took the time to do it right and the best part, they knew everyone by name who came in the door. I walked in for a passport picture - immediately I was greeted. No appointment at all which was great. He processed the picture and cut the photo to fit the standard passport (update it was accepted by US State Dept). I brought my filled passport application, so I was able to staple the photo; package it for expediate service and send it off all in one session. They took their time to help me with shipping it out. This used to be a great location-- great service, quick and easy! It appears it has been sold to new owners and the store is disorganized, it smells and the customer service is lacking. I've came here several times to either ship a package, make a duplicate key, or buy stamps. I'm usually in and out of there in under five minutes. Shipping and a book of stamps are more expensive than the USPS, but you avoid the long lines of the USPS. Besides packing and shipping, they can make a copy of your key (about $3), take passport photos ($15 for 2), rent out mailboxes, provide notary services, and even sell greeting cards and other small gifts. Staff is friendly and efficient. Ample parking either right in front of the store or next to Safeway. I'd recommend going here if you don't want to deal with the long lines and slow service of most post offices. read more

A very handy place to mail a package. All the area post offices seem to be understaffed and overcrowded, so it's a great benefit to have these guys in King Farm. Two minutes you're in and out. I came here to get a passport photo re-done immediately after going somewhere else and being unhappy with the results. The owner (I think) was incredibly nice, and she helped me take a photo I was happy with. The photos were a little too dim, I assumed perhaps they would be edited to have improved exposure, or their photo printer would lighten the image, but this wasn't exactly the case. I think the biggest issue was that their printer did not have the best image resolution, and the photos came out looking like grainy semi-sepia passport photos you'd find in a family photo trunk from the 80s. Maybe the printer was running out of photo printing ink, or whatever it is these little printers use, but there was no way that the image was going to be accepted due to the coloration, darkness, and low resolution. I checked with a friend who worked at the Passport Processing Center, and they confirmed the images would likely be rejected--but honestly the photos were still very nice so I'll hold on to them for keepsakes. Nevertheless, the owner here was SO LOVELY and kind, and I saw how wonderfully the staff treated all the customers they came across at the shop. I might not get another photo taken here, but I will definitely be coming here for my future shipping needs! read more

Parcel Plus have always been my go-to for all of my shipping needs. Today was my first time at this location and it is my favorite of the locations I've been to. I popped in only a few minutes after they opened and I was immediately assisted. The store is clean and the staff member I worked with was lovely to talk to first thing in the morning. Since Safeway right next door rarely has their Western Union working and if they do, they are out of forms and do not know how to send moneygrams without a form, this is the place I go when I need to Western Union back home. The manager man is very nice. The store is clean and customer service is fast and great. Easy parking right next to King Farm wine shop. read more

Highly recommended! They were very helpful when I had to send a package to the Philippines. They recommended the most reliable, safest, fastest and reasonable way to ship my package internationally. They even help me pack it so that I will be charged the lowest price possible. The best thing is they warned me of possible taxes the recipient in the Philippines might have to pay upon receipt. The store is located right in the heart of King Farm in a small strip of businesses. There is a row of parking spaces out front, and parking can get tight during peak hours. Some spaces are labeled as 15 minute parking so that helps. I usually come here to drop off packages that already have a label affixed to it. The store owner is always pleasant and available to assist. They also ensure that I have a copy of the tracking number for my records. There is never a wait and I am on my way out literally in seconds. The store also sells very cute greeting cards and novelty ones with different pets featured on the card. I always come here for my shipping needs. They always tell me my options and recommends reliable forwarder. There was one time when my packaged I sent internationally was held and couldn't be delivered apparently the forwarder has been trying to contact me but unsuccessful. I'm going to be honest: I kind of dread having to ship things, so I rarely do. I will go out of my way to not have to return something online, but sometimes it's inevitable. Parcel Plus has been excellent every time I've had to something. The service has been great. I've only gone there at the end of the day, so there is rarely a line. If there is, it goes very quickly. I searched online for a notary service near me. I had no idea that Parcel Plus had all the services they do in addition to the notary. Kim couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. I had a complication due to an international document. She spent her time with me making sure that everything was done properly. Then she advised me of the best way to send the documents to my daughter in England. I had another package to send. She and her staff help me figure out the least expensive way to send that. They also help me package and send a book that I needed to send to my daughter in California. They were so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! Sad it only goes up to 5 stars. Kim is AWESOME. She went so above and beyond the call of duty for us. We had a shipment of hard to pack drums dropped off there that needed custom boxes that Fx couldn't pack properly and over the course of a couple days she worked her behind off on them along with great communication. The prices was BEYOND fair. If you can hear a smile on the phone, she had one the whole time. You will never find anyplace better for packing and shipping. read more

I went here to have passport photos taken. Fantastic customer service from Kim and highly recommended. I came all the way from Bethesda because I happened to be in the area, but now I will make a special trip whenever I need these services because Kim knew just what to do - even took care of mailing the application in for me with appropriate tracking. This is a friendly, people-oriented and neighborhood business - took me only 15 minutes to get there (park in back of the Safeway) and well worth it. I have some fragile items I will need to ship soon and I will be back.
