just brought an Amazon return item. Printing the return label costs $3.00 at this UPS which is unheard of. I have been an Amazon customer for more than 10 years. Other UPSs I have used numerous times can scan my screen QR code and print the label free. Here, I send the label to their system. At other stores, even before I confirm everything, they would say 'You're all set" and move on. It means the rest of the tasks are up to them. Here, they ask whether they should attach the label on the box, as if I need to do something. More alarming part is that after it is dropped off, my Amazon account does not reflect its status. Why? The store associate says it will take days. I have a drop off package receipt timed at 2:39pm. Will see how long it takes until I see "Dropped off." P.S. At 3:30pm, my Amazon account shows the drop off. read more

There are lots of ways to ship, but it is Tony who keeps me wanting to come back. Being a manager for a customer service department, I know great service when I have it. Great Customer Service! Ive been a UPS customer for as long as I can remember and ive actually worked at 2 different UPS stores and I have to say the Customer Service here is absolutely amazing. I couldnt catch all the names but Ryan and Tony (and all the staff really) have been helping me out with my packages and shipments ever since I stepped foot in this UPS location. They are super efficient with their work and always have good conversations when I see them. And when I need to be somewhere and need to do a quick dropoff, i just put my already ready packages near them or on the scale depending on how crowded it is and they already know its me and handle it for me. You greeted me with a smile. You brought over a stool for me to sit on as you plugged in your enormous Polaroid-like monstrosity of a camera. We joked about how I had to sit down to be the right height. ... then you charged me $13 for two passport photographs. Howdy doody, honeymoon's over, hon. You're sweet and charming, but your price tag is -way- overboard. I appreciate that you take care of my needs, and with such expediency and good humor. But I just can't afford your future services. I'm afraid, my dear, that this relationship is at an end. It was great while it lasted! I've been going to this UPS Store for 10 years and I always get great service here, no matter how big or small my order . Sometimes i send a $5 fax and other times I email them complicated print jobs. They always do the job correctly and on time, are easy to work with and pleasant. Still going strong with south lakes UPS Store 5 years later. Jessica just did a rush desktop publishing job for us (mail merge name tags for an upcoming conference). She did a great job and was on top of all our deadlines. Highly recommend this store. Update 6 months later, this store is consistently my favorite. Jessica did name tags again for another event I'm planning. She did a great job and was with me through to the end, even web helping me insert name tags in the holders and safely boxing it for shipment. Five star service! read more

The store is right across the street from my house so very convenient. But guess what everytime I go there, the guy needs me to speak real slow... not a big deal but kinda odd. Anyways I went to print a shipping label off of my thumb drive and they charge $5 for sticking in the thumb drive into the computer and then the $0.10 or whatever per page. When I asked why this was the case, it was "safeguard against viruses, etc" so it was a recovery charge. C'mon.. the FedEx guys down Sunrise Valley is $0.08 a page and they don't care what you stick into their machine as long as its not indecent! If I have a pre-paid label that was mailed to me by Amazon or whoever, why the heck would I want to print and pay an additional $5? What about their PC giving my drive a virus.. I mean isn't this a 2-way street? read more

Very helpful. Each time I come in they are both courtesy and professional. Always gives good advice for sending and tracking packages. They are more expensive than going to the UPS drop site. So, I generally go to the ups store when I have a self return label supplied by the recipient. Beware of the Ponytail! He will have to put you in you place (read Ian's review). He is like an old man sitting on his porch and yelling at snotty nose kids to stay off his lawn. I have had to simply ignore his comments at times. read more

The worst experience. The dreadlock guy with a huge attitude, yawning and almost bothered with the task at hand. He would tell me to "walk over there to find the size of the largest box cuz he doesn't know". (I was the only customer). He didn't want to be of help, responses with negative attitude and mouthful. When I complained of his attitude, I was faced with hearing more blabbering of why he won't help and how I could walk over to see the size etc. i asked for the manager, she never came to the front, instead listened to him complain about me. I could hear her telling him I was right. He was more confrontational towards her. Both of them left me in the front to wait. Noone helped. read more

I've used this UPS store now for over 5 years and even if I move to another area, I'll continue to use this store. Ignore the bad comments, I've read them and i don't just come in once in a while, I am a business owner and I'm there almost 2 to 3 times a week. The men and women who work here care deeply about their customers. They do not treat people bad, I think some just expect royalty treatment, and this isn't the Trump Plaza Hotel, it's the UPS Store! You bring a package in, or subscribe for a mail box, these guys will bend over backwards to help you. I've "never" witnessed them being rude or unprofessional, and as a business coach (Iceberg Coach), that's something I am always keen about ensuring that customers are treated fairly. But, at the end of the day, they're human beings too and deserve a certain amount of courtesy as well. If you want a GREAT UPS Store to do your business, and you want to make sure your packages are cared for, then you'll want to use this UPS Store! read more

Had a really negative experience with the customer service at this UPS location. If I could give a negative star I would. I had an item to return to Amazon with a prepaid label. All I needed was the box. The guy with the ridiculous ponytail gave me a snarky attitude from the moment I asked him for help. He spoke to me like I was a child then quoted me $20.30 for A BOX!! When I politely reminded him that I had a pre-paid label (thinking he had misunderstood me) he responded (in a very sarcastic tone) " I am aware of that but we need to pack it, tape it, and get it prepared" I replied that I can do all that and he said "Listen, we do this everyday and we do it right" When I then said I did not appreciate his attitude he loudly said "MY ATTITUDE?" I had expected (like good customer service reps do) for him to say "Oh, I'm sorry, let me get you that box." I left with my item and label and drove 2 miles to Staples where I bought a box for $3.00 and shipped my return. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN. read more

I went in today to mail a small'ish package to the west coast. The staff was friendly, but the price seemed really high. I said that it needed to get there by next thursday and was told that it would cost $63. I then said that I was going to leave and try the post office instead. The guy at The UPS Store said that he could look up the USPS rates on his computer, which he did, and through them it would cost over $80. I drove over to the post office anyway just to check, and mailed it from there for $14.95, to arrive Monday, 3 days earlier than I was asking the UPS Store for. I don't think they were intentionally being dishonest, but their wiz bang computer system seems to be programmed to send your stuff the most expensive way possible. read more

Totally agree with one of the previous reviews. Aside from condescending, dismissive and rude staff, they have serious problem of overcharging for simple services. So please check how much they are charging before finalizing your shipment. Today, I had to send a 3 page document to a nearby city, I was given 2 options $41 (next-day) and USPS priority mail ($15). This would be less than $6 at the post office. When I asked for more options, their staff responded with an almost instant 'f-off'. A complete rip off! read more

I've experienced great customer service and convenience at this location. I've been renting a UPS box from them for about 8 months now, and I've been very happy with: - Reasonable prices for rental, plus cost to ship my mail overseas to me while deployed - They always greet me, remember me, and give me fast service when i visit the location - They held my 4 very large pelican cases for me for over a MONTH, without charge, as part of my tiny little mailbox rental - They went out of their way to help me carry these huge boxes to my car Great neighborhood location...thank you! read more

I've been a very occasional customer at this store for almost 4 years. I have yet to get in an out of there without the head guy in there (I call him Mr. Ponytail) giving me a hard time about something, or making a snarky remark. He told me this week that I should put tape over the UPS label because it makes it difficult (and extra half a second) to scan and that I should let him package it up next time. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I was literally waiting for him to gig me on something, and he did. I only go in there for convenience and no other reason. read more

Shipping through this store turned out to be an absolute nightmare. When I filled out my paperwork to mail my package I felt "rushed" by the man with the pony tail. The store was empty so there was no reason for this. They take your paperwork, but do not ask any questions or put together the mailing label in front of you and ask you to double check their work. Long and behold my two day package did not arrive on the Wed it was supposed to. On Saturday I was in full panick mode and went to the store. Turns out that even though I clearly wrote a number 3 they typed in a 5 for the address. They were arrogant and not concerned about my issue. They said they were busy but would call customer service to send someone to try to retrieve it. At no point did they offer to reinburst me for the money I spent to send it two day despite my package arriving over a week later. In fact they were supposed to call me back to follow up and never did. I ended up having my recipents hunt down the wrong address UPS store mailed it to and retrieve it themselves. I will never take a chance mailing something here again, they were extremely arrogant. read more
