The staff here are consistently really friendly. Even when they're busy, they still make an attempt to greet you / acknowledge you when you walk in and they work as quickly as possible to get to you when they see a line forming. This place can get pretty busy around 5 o'clock as people getting off work are likely attempting to make a pitstop on the way home (myself included). One of the staff suggested that I use the automated kiosk (see my photos) to print my return label and package my item using their self serve materials. Unfortunately, my item was too large to be packaged in the clear plastic wrap and the self serve system itself was also on the fritz. Ultimately, one of the staff ended up helping me and it was a relatively painless process. read more

The worst customer service. I came in here with six Amazon returns. The guy at the counter said I had to process the returns myself at the self-help kiosk. I asked him if he could help me at the counter like they have in the past but he said it was against company policy. As I was using the kiosk, someone else came in and stood behind me. I turned around and said sorry but this will take a little while. The guy behind me went to the same guy behind the counter and asked if he could do the return for him. He said yes. I had just asked the same thing and had been turned down. Wasn't this against store policy? This just seems like a case of laziness to me. read more

Oliva was not helpful at all. I needed to print a UPS label and she had me pay for it, even if it was for UPS. I was going to pay for over priced bubble wrap$6.99 for 10 square feet, you can go to target Office Depot and pay $10 for 200square feet because I was going to mail out 3 boxes immediately I was going to pay the hefty price. Then I asked if I could use their tape, to pack the boxes and she said no. What's the difference if I asked her to box it at the back? At fed ex , ups in Morgan hill and usps they all allowed me to borrow the tape if not tape it up themselves, but not Oliva. And on a side note there was an elderly woman trying to carry a box for pick up obviously she was having a hard time. Oliva let her use the dolly but that was it. She didn't even ask if she was ok and obviously the elderly was struggling. Maybe it's Covid and they are instructed not to help but she could have informed the customer. I helped the lady and I was struggling too. Oliva didn't even thank me for helping the customer. Their slogan "What can brown do for you?" Number one, be helpful and friendly. I immediately put on hand sanitizer after helping but in this day and age kindness goes a long way. Teach your employees about customer care and empathy. Will not be going to this local branch ever again. read more

Went there for a live scan. Their web site states they take walkins with only hours of operation as their limitations, as does the US government web site. This is false. They close for lunch from 12 -2pm, i was told, after i got there. Dont trust their web site info. Call and confirm first. You need to alter your web site and the information you provide to the DOJ. What an awesome experience. I was running lat and needed help returning online purchases. Was frustrated with another shipping service but decided to try the ups store in Seaside. They were really patient as I fumbled through emails and returns, offered printing service and container for shipping and assured me my return would depart today (of course, last day for refund). ups store 1075 went above and beyond the customer service that everyone brags about but few actually deliver on. Wow, this is the best UPS store I've ever encountered. I was greeted as soon as I entered and was able to buy a box, have them pack it, and get it ready for shipment, all in a short period of time. I was shipping a snowboard and skis and he helped me package them, was super patient and also took time to help others while I was working on boxing up my stuff to make sure a line didn't form. We had horrible experience with a notary at this UPS store. Both employers did not know how to certify the document or they pretend that they don't know. One employer was on the telephone for about 10 minutes and when she finished her talk the time of their service was over (5.30) and she refused to certify the document. Do not use. I went to get some forms notarized. It is interesting to me that the Notary is making the document legal, but lied about the fee. I asked him how much per signature and he told me $15.00 is what California charges. Unfortunately I was against a rock and hard place to get the docs signed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are not a corporate owed store so the owner should really take a look at their customer service. Go to another store. it is worth the drive. I walked into this place kinda soaked. The rain can really do that to you especially when the parking lot is full and you have to tread through the ocean of puddles just to make it to the door of your desired establishment. I walked in and noticed a few ladies in the room. I wiped the rain water from my face just to make sure... ok... Giggity-giggity! Helloooo ladies! Do you need a letter opener? Can I help you sort through your mail? Do you need an extra stamp; I've got one right here! One turned and said, "Why, yes Itzhecatl. That would be..." Once I was done day dreaming and shaking off the excess water from my coat, I went to speak to the clerk in the back that did all of the notarizing business there. (UPDATE-UPS contacted me June 2017 to resend them the info on this old complaint, so I did and i also posted it to Yelp. Apparently it has a new store owner who saw it and commented below.) The problem with this store is the owner's wife that works there. She's extremely unfriendly, uncooperative, hyper-sensitive to any perceived criticism and insanely vindictive. She rants and loses her temper without any provocation. If you ask her a question she gives you the wrong answer and if you try to ask her again she gets mouthy. It's like she's just waiting for you to contradict her. You can feel the negative vibe. I feel sorry for the husband. I think he's afraid of her. He never corrects her or steps in to help if she's having a problem at the counter. My story is that about ten years ago I had a UPS mail box when the other UPS store was in Sand City was still open. A really nice young Asian family ran it. Then it closed because he told me UPS required him to do $50k in store upgrades and the business wasn't that profitable. I wasn't being offered a refund on my prepaid annual rental fee so the option was to quit receiving mail or transfer my account to the UPS store in Seaside with credit for the year I paid in advance I was told, which I did. That went ok except there was no accounting of my balance and I wound up losing on it. Coincidentally, I had an office now about two blocks from the Seaside UPS store so this wound up conveniently being within walking distance. As far as service goes, it was ok as long as you didn't have any packages delivered or have to talk to anybody at the counter. At the time I had been ordering off eBay and was receiving a few packages a week. The wife took my email address and said I would get a notice if a package was delivered. A few days later I had received more packages but never received any email notices. When I told the wife the email wasn't working she said it was. A few days later after some more packages came in I told the husband I didn't receive any email notices. He checked it and said it wasn't turned on and he turned it on. Another week later I received some more packages but no email notices and I told the husband again. He said it was working but I gave him a different email address because I didn't know what they were doing wrong. More packages came and still no email notices. I don't really need them but I was told it was working. I was in the store again picking up a package. I didn't bring it up but the wife told me I should sign up for email notices and when I told her I've already given two good email addresses and have never received any notices and it doesn't work she got visibly angry and said it was working. When these packages come in, the system of accountability is that a coded label is affixed to your package at the store and tracked until you sign for receiving it at the counter. At this store, when you pick up your package and pick up the stylus to sign the little pad you're told you don't need to. When asked why they say it's for the customer's convenience. The counter help are all young girls. No men except for the husband. About every week there's a new girl at the counter. They were usually friendly but always looked timid and kind of spooked. I got the impression that they were afraid of something. One day I was picking up my mail and there was a store printed coded 2 notices in the box for packages. I went to the counter, picked up the packages but was denied signing for them. A couple of days later I was picking up my mail and there was a pink slip US Post Office notice that there was a package for me. At the counter the girl told me there was postage due and that I had to go to the post office to pick it up. The next day I went to the post office with the slip and I was told the package was delivered to the store. I went back to the store and politely told the girl " I need to ask about this again". The wife was behind the clerk sorting mail and started ranting that I was accusing them of keeping my mail. She kept it up for a couple of minutes and then, unprovoked and without any other comment from me, she said "I'm cancelling your account!". There wasn't any talking to her so I left. Within a half hour I received an email for the store that people don't have complaints about their store and since I was unhappy with their service that my account was cancelled immediately The first thing I did was email him that if my account was cancelled I would sue him. I went back to the Post Office with my USPS pink slip notice and asked them to check again and the supervisor did but was very displeased in doing so Then I decided to look for the two padded envelope packages I received two days earlier and I recovered from my trash. I matched up the Post Office item numbers on the pink slip with the same numbers on one of the UPS store printed delivery labels that they put on the package when it was delivered. read more

If I could give this UPS store a 0 out of 5 I would. To print one sheet of paper it costs 0.14 cents which I thought was reasonable since the public libraries cost around the same, but! The employee declined to tell me that it would cost $1.00 to send the email because they don't have a public computer. I had asked before I started my transaction how much it would be to print, not knowing there was a dollar fee to send the email to print my page. read more

We don't live near family so we are constantly shipping items to the east coast etc for all sorts of holidays/special occassions. I spend a lot of $ in UPS-this store in particular. In my past experience, the owners (husband/wife) have been fairly courteous and pleasant. It only takes one bad experience to lose a customer and today they managed to do that. If I were you, I'd look elsewhere for a UPS store. read more

I was quite pleased to discover that the UPS Store has extended holiday hours (meaning they are open for a few hours on Sundays during December!). I visited the store on a Sunday afternoon to get a shipping quote for some items I was listing on eBay. The stock of this store isn't as robust as some of the other UPS Stores I have seen, but the employee who helped me was courteous and helpful.
