Older man in the front gave me weird service. Felt uncomfortable. Charged me for a box when I already had a box and they didn't even box it up in front and of me. Didn't greet or thank me and said just "put it there". Wouldn't be surprised if me package gets lost. I guess we will see. read more

Was in the area and dropped off my Amazon purchase to return (without a box). Never had an issue with other UPS in the area but it's now been over a week and Amazon shows my item never left the store. I went back to check on the store's end and I was immediately dismissed by the clerk and told it was my problem, not theirs. All other stores in the area are kind and helpful. Now I'm charged by Amazon for the item but I no longer have it. Evidence suggests someone at the store took the item for themselves. I'll never go here again. read more

Kevin, employee at this store, is a gleaming excremental paragon of bad attitude and ineptitude. I called asking for reference numbers related to a shipment I paid for from this store, and for several minutes Kevin refused to give me the information. When I asked him why he kept refusing to give me the information, he turned hostile, rude, and insulted me. Then continued to refuse to give me the information. I have never been treated so unprofessionally by anyone in my life. Kevin said he's been doing this for twenty years -- and that is twenty years too many. I see from several other reviews that I'm not the only person who has experienced horrible mistreatment at the hands of this employee, again named Kevin. Some of these reviews go years back. It shows just how poorly run this UPS Store is, that this employee has been rude and insulting for several years and hasn't yet been fired. Not only do I recommend that you not use this UPS Store, but I personally will never use UPS Again. Got a package delivered via UPS to an unknown person. Went here to do a return to sender but they wouldn't do it unless I paid for shipping. Had to go to a real UPS customer service counter to get them to send it back. These UPS stores aren't really UPS so just be aware of that. read more

This UPS store is a "flagship store" in that I have never experienced anything else but utmost professionalism, courtesy and no nonsense customer service. Kevin is the "lead" guy (manager?) handling every situation with the same unselfish "attitude" and determination to help and/or solve any degree of problems. I always feel safe and confident that any packages sent from this location will not only make it to the destination but in record time. This particular UPS store stands out from any other I have encountered or done business with. "Hats off" to all the "kind" people that work here. I was in their store location yesterday and watched them calmly, quickly, and with the utmost professionalism deal with two angry customers (they came in angry, their issues weren't with UPS) and took a line of about 7 people down to 1 in a matter of minutes. They lost my package, didn't offer to refund my $300's worth of stuff and they have the nerve to not refund what I paid to ship it in FULL. I accidentally dropped a pre paid labeled box off on the counter that was supposed to go to Fed Ex. I was in a hurry so just dropped it and walked out before anyone could help me. I didn't realize it until the next day that it was supposed to go to Fed Ex(that's what I get for always rushing) When I called, they had it already picked up by Fed Ex, no hassle. Friendly and quick service but their return policy is a bit shady. They can't give you a receipt for drop offs? I want to return something valuable that I bought online and they can't give me anything to prove that I sent it. I don't get it. My Mom dropped off a Tory Burch shoe return to another UPS drop off location nearby and and Tory Burch returns department said they never got it. I know the people that work at this location is legit but these things can get lost in transit. Then who is to blame? read more

Quick service upon arrival. $18 per set of official passport photos. Given the new restrictions for passport photos (no smile, no glasses, must show ears) our expectations were low, but the photos we received were heavily shadowed and seemed to belong in a horror movie rather than on an official document that is valid for ten years. Instead, we found an amazing photographer, J.H. PHOTOGRAPHY on Garden Street in Monterey, who utilized appropriate lighting, took more than one photograph, and allowed us to choose the one we preferred. Wow! What an awful experience! I had an (expensive) po box here for 1 year. Twice, I had ripped mail. Whatev, s**t happens, right? So I plan on a move across country, and I send ship some things to my sister's house in Boston. I declare the value of the items, and they are insured as stated. I did not buy any up graded insurance, although it was offered. I sent dishes and other glass items, wrapped in fabric, newspaper and other fluff. I've moved many times in my long life, and this packing technigue has not resulted in breakage. The boxes I sent from this store were marked FRAGILE. BY THE STORE. WITH A BIG STICKER. When I arrive in my new abode, I go to see my sis and pick up my things. She reluctantly yells me that the boxes, yet unopened, are clearly smashed.Yep. So I go online. The site is not helpful. I call the 800 number. They tell me to CALL THE STORE OF ORIGIN, which I do, and I get a big pile of horses**t. The woman tells me- oh no no no we didn't do anything wrong- right out of the gate, she's already distancing her store from any culpability. She tells me to call the 800 number., which she will gladly give me... I leave a long message again with the 800 number. I get a call back after about 4-7 days. The woman on the line APOLOGIZES. (That's a start). I list my items give the estimated values. She questions the packaging then, and by the pauses in the conversation, I get the distinct impression she thunks I'm scamming. Whoa! Beware, although this store's proprietor claims the shipping with this UPS store is the same as going to the main hub or printing your own online label, they are being deceptive. Not all UPS stores are the same. Example: Package shipping using UPS online was $50.65, this store in Monterey wanted to charge over $62.00, stating the cost of signature confirmation was the extra $12.00, BS! I've used UPS for shipping my stuff for years. Generally I've found them to be fairly reliable. This store was the exception. The staff was extremely unhelpful. I simply needed some documents notarized and a package mailed. Despite advertising that they have a notary, theirs was gone and nobody seemed to have a clue if or when he would be back. Furthermore, the package that I had them ship never arrived because it apparently never left their store. It ended up arriving more than 2 weeks late and only after I had to make numerous phone calls. If I were you, I'd use a different store. read more
