This is my first time going to this UPS but it was on my way. So i went in there to drop off 1 package and get a receipt. Just 1 step. When I entered, the older employee who has a long beard was talking on the phone frantically with someone and telling the person on the other end that there are a lot of customers and he can't talk right now and he seemed to be in distress. I found it curious because he there was only one person ahead of me. And he was already him out at the same time. I didn't think much if it because it's the holidays and i get it is s stressful time for UPS employees. Anyways, as I was waiting i noticed that the guy in front of me needed a lot of help. He was taking his item out of the box snd having to change boxes and had some issues whereas I just wanted to drop off my box and get a receipt. So i just asked the bearded employee if i can just drop this off and he gave me a very stern look and yelled at me telling me to just drop it anywhere pointing to the floor and the counter. He said i can't give you a receipt in a very rude way and then he ignored me. I didn't like being spoken that way so i just took my package and left to drop it off at the UPS store at del monte who are always nice and professional. I'm not sure why this guy was being rude, but based off other reviewers on here it seems to be his standard behavior. I wouldn't recommend coming here. Either go to fedex across the street or go to ups at del monte for better treatment. read more

Did someone say "grouchy?" Came to Drop off a pre paid box. I saw a pile of boxes and - while still holding my box - asked the man with the long white beard who works there if he'd like me to put my pre paid box with those boxes. He yelled at me and then accused me of cutting someone with many boxes that needed to check out. This is the first time I've encountered this man but this location is always curt, rude - absolutely the worst. It either stinks of smoke or you get this angry, bitter guy. Came here today for some copying and faxes service. The owner Chris was very efficient and a good communicator. He even helped me copy some of the items (I tend to make margin errors or put it in the wrong position). I appreciate the high degree of cleanliness in this UPS store. They definitely abide by all the procedures but probably keep it tidy out of habit anyway. There are some stationary supplies for purchase as needed, a pay-for-service computer, copy machines, and spaces to organize your documents/files. Here they also offer Amazon package returns. This store is locally-owned, and the people here definitely take pride in making sure it operates properly and is comfortable in terms of cleanliness for every customer that walks in. The gentlemen that helped was happy when I had to pay $71.17 to send a letter to Mexico (2 pages). He rushed me and entered the address. He said "they will have it by tomorrow" this was on April 23, 2024, it is now May 06, 2024. They 3 days later I received a text saying that it had undeliverable address. Well, if he did not rush me. I could of told him what to type. I called him he said he would send a correction sounded very scared as if his fingers were going to blow off he typed a correction. (brown nosier). He said he couldn't not do a complete correction only enter the name of the Public record department. He made a big deal out of it. He something about the off the God of UPS were going to punish him. I came here today to drop off some Amazon return packages. The staff was helpful but the man working behind the counter was somewhat standoffish. I realize things may be written on a sign, but if the sign isn't in an obvious place is it really fair to expect people to see it? I required large posters IMMEDIATELY. UPS easily talked me through pricing in both color and B/w and emailing images process. Time? 10 minutes. My posters done and placed inside perfect plastic wrap protecting from these recent rain storms. Other places at least 24 hours to complete posters. Cheap? Came in to ship two packages, one a book. Two staff there. One was helping another customer and the other was putting up signs on the wall. He wouldn't help me but told me to stand in line. After about 15 minutes the person ahead finally got finished after a lot of fumbling by the female staff of a single small item. As I was about to mail my packages another customer came in and was helped immediately by the male but not me!! The female staff member wants to charge me $32.86 for a single book being sent via ground!!! Martin worked there for years and he was great!! These new folks are horrible. I would give them zero stars if I could. Go to UPS at the top of Forest instead. read more

Never going to send anything that worth more than $100 from UPS. They lost my package, didn't offer to refund my $300's worth of stuff and they have the nerve to not refund what I paid to ship it in FULL. It's they're responsibility and just because they are big, and think we don't have any options, then will gladly use fedEX or USPS. UPS you will not get my business in the next few years! read more

The employees, especially a younger woman who helped me, are super NICE and HELPFUL. Who I believe to be the store manager... RUDEST PERSON EVER!!! He screamed at his employees in front of a bunch of people, made me feel SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I apologized to the young woman helping me and she just smiled. These wonderful people saved the day for me yesterday. I spent 30 minutes trying to scan and email some things at Fed Ex across the street. The lady clearly wasn't super familiar with the single page scanner process. I had no more time to waste there as these documents needed to get to the East Coast ASAP. I typically find myself coming in here just to drop off packages when I've gotten prepaid return labels for UPS from websites and they're always happy to take the boxes off my hands. Never have had problem's service-wise, but finding parking can sometimes be tricky, and oddly enough the store often smells like cigarette smoke - perhaps the staff hover in the back doorway and don't realize that all the smoke is blowing back in? It's just strange to find smokey smelling businesses these days... Recently I needed a notary for an online traffic school exam I had to take. Notary public is a service UPS stores apparently offer, but make sure to call ahead, because for instance at this store only one guy does it, and if it's not his shift, you're out of luck. Anyway, their notary, I forget his name unfortunately, was very cool. Even though the instructions for my exam said I needed to take it in front of the notary the guy told me he didn't care where my answers came from, do whatever, phone a friend, he didn't care because he was a notary, not a test proctor. Awesomeness. After I completed the answer sheet he did his little notary stamp and sign thing, and I was good to go. Easy pleasey. I think it was $10. read more

I never experienced how fast UPS service could be until I visited here. Wow. I had every expectation of waiting in am queue, then explaining I was returning a product that had only vague instructions from the manufacturer, then ... . BUT despite multiple people being concurrently helped, and it being lunchtime, the return box was almost ripped from my hands, the mailer identified/confirmed and sealed, money was exchanged, and I was out the door. The fellow who helped me even resealed the box AFTER I left to not slow me down. I had to write this review because this is so so far above my expectations. Great place. read more

We knew the UPS Store in El Cerrito did them but it wasn't convenient to stop by there before we left for Pacific Grove so we figured we could take care of it down here. Driving down Lighthouse after lunch at Cindy's on our way to Tuesday Morning we saw this UPS Store, After parking by Tuesday Morning Alan walked down here while I was shopping to check whether they did passport photos. They did, so after we finished at Tuesday Morning we walked over. The nice young man took our photos, first Alan's and then mine. I was a little concerned that I'd be representing the Warriors on my passport for the next 10 years, but our photographer managed to frame the shot w/o the logo showing. Well done. When I went into the store on December 5 and spent $65 for the shipping of 3 small Christmas packages, I was provided a verbal promise that the packages would make it to their destinations (one local, two overseas) in time for Christmas. When I called in early January to say the packages still hadn't arrived, the manager Martin, told me that I would have to take my concerns to the post office. What?! Why?! I did not pay the post office, I did not deal with the post office. What company refers you to an entirely different organization to handle their complaints? I have been going to this UPS Store for 15 years. Recently, I have been there to return packages 4 times. Each time, Martin and his staff have made that process easy, efficient, and simple. Martin even held onto a package for me yesterday so that I could go home and contact the company I purchased a dog crate from for a Return Label! Because of the size, I could have been charged a large amount for shipping. Martin explained to me what would help me to save money. So this isn't for the store as a whole, but specifically the "manager." I went in today to drop off a package, and I asked him if I could tape it. First of all, he all but snatches it from me and tells me he'll tape it. Okay, cool. However, as he was putting it down on the scale I noticed the bottom was open and I said, "Oh, the bottom is open" and he snaps back at me, "Yeah, I know how to do my job, thanks." and I was just like, "?! I was...only letting you know the bottom was open..." and he responds, "Well after boxing about 30 packages a day I'm pretty sure I know how to do my job." I'm sick, and I didn't have the energy in me to tell this man how much of a tool he was being for essentially berating me by letting him know a simple fact so he was aware. Now that I think about it, he is typically the least friendly employee in that store (taller, older gentleman). If you're a manager, you need to be setting a better example for your employees and represent your company and store a hell of a lot better than that. Congratulations, I'm happy you know how to pack a box AS IT IS YOUR JOB, but when someone was just offering insight on something that you didn't see, you don't snap at or talk to a customer like that. read more
