I learned that the shredding is not done on site but sent out and very secure. When I went into the store they assisted me in getting my boxes inside and speedy service. The older woman with blonde hair is very rude to me on 2 occasions and to my girlfriend on a separate visit by herself. I truly believe she acted this way to me and my girlfriend is because we are not Caucasian. She literally did not offer to ask me if I needed help or if I had a Drop Off, even though it was obvious as I came in with 2 boxes stacked that I carried in. Instead she helped a Caucasian female who was behind me first. This happened with my girlfriend on another occasion, going to another customer who was behind her, who does that? The prejudice she displayed was so obvious and disturbing. This ups store loves to tack on an extra 15$ for their failure to deliver a package to my physical location! HORRIBLE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This is the third time I have dropped off a package at this location with a prepaid label and the item mysteriously never arrived. I was always able to overlook the rude lady who is always there because, lets face it it dosnt seem like the most glamorous of jobs. However these past three boxes were clearly labeled to where they were going, ie "Best Buy" and were never received. When I asked her about it she was extremely rude. Do NOT go to this store for any services besides drop off. They charged me twice as much to print 4 black and white pages I had emailed to them. They charged $2 for an email service then .25 cents per copy. I called a UPS store in seaside and they charge $1 for any service fees and .12 per copy. My advice is to avoid this store in general and it's unfortunate because I live in pacific grove and support UPS. read more

This UPS Store is the best. I go out of my way to do business at this specific location because of the excellent service I receive from Mandy, Fiona, and the rest of the crew. Normally I just drop off Amazon returns. This is handled quickly and I always get a receipt (which I've needed on occasion to confirm a return). When I needed a birth certificate request notarized, Mandy handled this expertly in a pleasant and supportive way. I save up any UPS needs I have when out of town and bring them all here when I return. Trust me, I've been to some real stinkers in other cities and these guys get it right. read more

The employees at this store are exceptionally rude. Like I'm not expecting them to be super overly welcoming and animated, but it seems like they are unaware of how to conduct basic customer service skills. It seems like their goal is to run people the wrong way. And typically, every time I go in there, they charge me some odd and expensive amount for the simplest of things. But when I go to the UPS on lighthouse, I don't get those charges for the same things I ask for on Forest. I would just avoid this store completely because even if you just need to pop in real quick just to take care of something small, it will be an unexpected bad experience. read more

The past 2 visits I've had going to this UPS store felt very uncomfortable. I didn't have a problem with this store last year seeing that it was mostly this young woman working behind the counter who was very polite and attentive towards the customers and myself. Now there's this blond lady who mostly runs the front counter, and makes me feel super uncomfortable as I come in. I'm not sure what exactly her problem is but I absolutely do not appreciate her cold demeanor or attitude. I've been trying to avoid this place as much as possible and go to the UPS on Washington St which is alright but waaay better than this one. Unfortunately, today I had no other choice than to go to this store and once again when I asked if they received my print order, the blond lady was condescending and cold. I think I have an idea as to why she might be coming off this way seeing that this store is in a prodominantly white neighborhood, but hey that's just my theory. read more

I have used this UPS store located at 1120 Forest Avenue in Pacific Grove 3 times and each time the Customer Service was not "Customer Friendly" Today was the last time I will use this location (only use because it is minutes away from where I live) The owner/manager (older woman with blonde hair) has been friendly with me not sure why but I am believing it is because I'm not Caucasian). I am in line waiting for the next Customer to finish with a man behind me as I walk up to her she looks at me and doesn't say hello but sternly asks "Do you have your Amazon Code?" I said yes as I was going to give to her she just sets me aside to the next Customer and helps him (Caucasian male) and has a long conversation about his mail, the weather and what is he going to do the rest of the afternoon, etc. While I'm waiting she comes back to me not saying sorry or apologizing but asks "Do you have your Amazon Code?" I answered yes i had it the first time.... You can call it miscommunication or whatever but all 3 times she short doesn't say Hello or thank you and acts like I'm bothering her. I was born and raised in Monterey and can't understand why some people act like this...this world is going backwards. I will go a little bit further to the UPS Store on Lighthouse Ave as those employees greet you and say Hello and Thank you....not very hard to do. read more

I paid over $300 for a box for a year. A package was delivered by Fed Ex in December and signed for by Mandy. I never received a notice that I had a package. I called an spoke with Iris who said they had no record of the package. They want me to call Fed Ex to find out what happened to the package. I think that is their responsibility since they signed for it. The corporate office is no help. They can't even find the Pacific Grove store in their database. read more

You need a lot of patience, a thick skin and more cash on you than you expect you'll need if you have the misfortune of being a walk-in customer to this UPS store. I don't know if they've changed hands recently, but the attitude of the clerks is definitely different than it used to be. Not overtly rude (like the UPS store in the Del Monte Center) but definitely not friendly and welcoming to walk-ins. I went in needing a single black and white photocopy--a quick, simple and straightforward trip, or so I thought. I assumed the photocopy would be less than a dollar. My mistake! It was $1.50. I had a $20 in my wallet, but the clerk asked if I had anything smaller. I did--a $1 and some loose change. The clerk kept rolling her eyes and sighing, treating me like I was a doddering old fool as I went through my loose change for the extra 50 cents--and this was after I'd patiently waited while she took two people before me (even though I was there before them but I guess they looked more affluent than me so she waited on them, first). How could one black and white photocopy on regular paper cost $1.50? Do they charge regular customers this much or do they just overcharge walk-ins they deem beneath them? This isn't the first time I've gone there with a simple job only to either have to wait and wait and wait while the clerks ignored me in preference for personal phone chats or sorting through packages, or to be treated like I'm not wanted but it will be my last. I usually have to return things from Amazon and it takes a few seconds, at the most! They also have helped me package and ship items, as well as print off and scan documents for work. I had to send a fax. I got there and there was a person in front of me. He was picking up a package so that went quickly. When I entered the store there was a woman sitting down talking to the clerk as one passed more customers came to the point that several were waiting outside. The clerk who was helping the woman sitting down never even acknowledged me. So more waiting. Waited at least 1/2 hour. Finally a second clerk came. She sent the fax sheet, collected the money and told me to move somewhere else even though I was not finished with the fax. Then she says I will bring the return answer fax out to you you need to go outside. By this time I was infuriated and I said I am not coming back to this store ever. After awhile which seemed like a long time she finally brings the answer fax to me. In the meantime the original woman sitting at the counter with the other clerk is still sitting and still talking to the clerk. When she brought the answer fax outside I said thank you but will never set foot in that place again. To make matters worse I recently injured my leg so I had a cane. Nevertheless they were grossly rude. Avoid this place. read more

I moved up here January 15 from orange county California. One of the most important things for me while not yet settled into my permanent resident, was making sure my mail was delivered and Secured. I was told by a coworker that the UPS store On Forest Avenue is super organized, with an incredible staff. So I Took into consideration my coworkers words, went up to the UPS store on forest signed up for a PO Box. I now can say I am so very happy I did. In the first week alone, I had spoken to three different employees Mandy, Cliff and Fiona. When I would ask anyone of them a question or ask for any large mail I was looking for. They would Recognized me and say "oh yes Rob will be Right back with it" Or oh Rob Is your mail box location working well for you? I think they must have a Facial recognition camera in there that whispers in their ear, Rob just walked in. If they don't they're just that committed to their clients. Thanks again Rob M read more
