I unfortunately didn't get their names but the tall dark brown hair man that fills the jugs and lady with black hair in a bun that works the counter are super nice. This place and another one in gilroy are the only ones that do alkaline water and I very much rather go here because of the service. It's $1 per gallon for the alkaline and it does take about 3 mins per gallon to fill so be prepared if you have multiple large jugs to fill. Great locally owned water store! read more

Looking for a place to fill up your 5-gallon water jugs? I was when I first moved here in 2017! I went around to a few places but eventually settled with A Plus Quality Water, even though it's in Marina and I live in Seaside. The water here tastes good, parking is usually easy, they have different water options, they have carts so I can easily push around multiple 5-gallon jugs, they rinse your jugs each time, you can run a pre-paid account so you don't have to take cash each time, and... they have Marianne's Santa Cruz Ice Cream and Gizdich Pies! After reviewing various water delivery services, I decided to come here for my water needs in Marina. If you live here you know you can't drink the water from the faucet. And I'm tired of buying 1 gallon jugs at the store. This place didn't have much of a selection on coolers, but they said it was their best selection in a month and they were open! But that's not the biggest thing I want to talk about the water! I Purchased a water card which will allow me to fill up my 5 gallon jug for quite a few times I forget how many, But I'm set for a while. The water is filtered and tastes delicious. When you bring your jug to refilling, they sanitize it and clean it before refilling it. There's also have a cart you can use to roll the jugs to and from your car. I ended up purchasing a plain white cooler with a nice basic wood stand. I am so happy to have this water source in my home now. My brother-in-law got a scoop of ice cream because they're also known for the ice cream.That'll be on my next visits agenda. Stay healthy and drink your aqua! Went in to look at water options since I had been buying 1 gallon jugs at the store. Had a very positive experience. The workers explained their amazing filtration system, they different options and all the item they carried in store. Great tasting water and very happy to have a new dispenser and place to go for water. Not to mention they carry pies from Gizdich Ranch and ice cream from Marianne's! Service, service and more service... I have been getting my glass bottles filled with this clean tasting aqua for several months now. I am always impressed with the friendly welcome, and efficient service. The staff will even assist you out to your car. No matter how busy they get the staff, to a person are never short tempered and make every customer feel appreciated. I often marvel at how they can accomplish other tasks while filling the water bottles and time it almost always perfectly so none is wasted. Great multi-taskers here. They also serve ice cream, and I have only sampled the sherbet as I am not able to consume dairy ice cream I am told by others that it is quite creamy and good. I very much enjoyed the sherbet. You can pay as you go or purchase a water card that is maintained at the store so you never lose it. The staff always let you know how many gallons are left on your card for the next time. The hours are very accommodating, open 11-6:00, and when they are closed there is a dispenser outside so one can always procure clean fresh tasting water. Come try it out some time. read more

Tucked away behind Carl's Jr and Dollar Tree this place is soooooo frickin fantastic!!!! My sis, who's a local, told me that Marianne's is a local/California chain from Santa Cruz. There were several flavors to choose from which you can sample to make your choice. I decided on half scoops each of Horchata & Kahlua Krunch. The Kahlua Krunch is basically the coffee flavor with fudge swirl and chocolate toffee bits. The ice cream is very smooth and creamy. Like gelato. Too bad there isn't any in Vegas as I'd definitely be a regular. read more

This is a hidden gem! This place sells water, does mail, and best of all Ice cream! I got the classic cookie and cream and rocky road flavors. My first thought is WOW! Thank you to the attendant since he packed my two scoops into the bowl. Not only those this place give you great quantity the quality is fantastic as well! Both ice creams were creamy and packed in with toppings. There was not a single bite without a cookie in it in the Cookies and cream. The rocky road was packed with toppings as well! This place probably DOES have really really good ice cream. But as for water? I came in to get their alkalized water. It's a small home system you can buy yourself and takes 30 minutes to fill 15 gallons or 3 5 gallon jugs. Very long wait time. No worries I didn't mind. Then when I get them and take them to my car I see particles floating around. Large enough for me to see. They were white/eggshell color which makes sense since once I got home I poured up a glass and the water had a very strange taste to it. Almost egg like after taste. Very disappointed I thought I would be able to get my water local instead of driving to Whole Foods but it seems Whole Foods is the best option for alkalized water. We get our water filled here, $0.35 cents a gallon. We prepay several gallons at a time so all we need to do is refill it and go. They disinfect our bottles every time. Their purified water goes through 11 steps before they fill ours. They do get busy so most of the time there is wait, which we don't mind. They serve Marianne's ice cream from Santa Cruz and Gizdich pies from Watsonville, and if your a local... you know these treats are deeeelicious! read more

What do you get when you put a water store with an ice cream parlor and a post office? A Plus! My friend and I heard that they had Marianne's ice cream, so we rushed in 10 min before closing. Luckily, they were still open and were happy to serve us! They let us sample whatever we wanted and showed us all the flavors -- exemplary customer service, considering most places get annoyed if you come in close to closing. I got a scoop of green tea, and my friend got a scoop of mango, and it totaled a little over $5 (each cone was $2.70, no tax). The ice cream was smooth and creamy; I understand the hype now. I'm not sure if the flavors switch out, but they have 3 counters of ice cream. When we went, there were probably around 24 flavors! It's such an unassuming little joint, but it's definitely worth the visit. read more

Salted caramel ice cream is delicious! Service was a little rushed...I asked what the flavor on the end was and the lady said '1020'. I asked 'what is that?' and first she looked at me like I should already know. I stared at her, waiting for an answer. Clearly a bit annoyed, she told me caramel, fudge and brownies which sounds delicious! I wasn't sure what her attitude was about since I'm not from the area and have no clue about code numbers for ice cream, lol. A nice lady in line behind me told me the significance of 1020. I can't remember what it was, something about the original address of the creamery where the ice cream actually comes from, historical significance and such. Whatever, the lady working the counter acted like it would kill her to give me some insight. There were 2 people in line, not a huge rush. While over at the Marina farmers market to visit the Bubble Tea Truck a couple of weeks ago, I was dismayed to learn the BTT didn't have mochi ice cream! (Apparently, the BTT didn't expect the sun to come out and left the mochi at home.) Well the sun did come out, and it was gorgeous (though a little breezy) over in Marina, and I was craving ice cream. As we were getting read to leave, I saw the A-Plus sign advertising water and ice cream. I peeked inside and discovered A-Plus doesn't just carry any ice cream--they have fresh Marianne's ice cream! I am a huge fan of Marianne's ice cream, and was thrilled to find out I could get a fresh scoop closer to home. Sure, I can pick up a quart at Grove Market or other local independent grocery shops, but pre-packed quarts aren't as tasty as a fresh scoop! The selection at A-Plus is relatively limited (maybe a dozen or two flavors?), and I wasn't able to get either of my favorite flavors (horchata and oatmeal raisin cookie dough). But this came as a blessing in disguise--I was forced to try new flavors. I settled on a kid's double scoop with maple nut and 1020 (vanilla ice cream mixed with caramel, chocolate and Oreo cookie)--it was a delicious combination! Service was very friendly and welcoming, and they were patient with us (and other customers) as we sampled several flavors. The flavors change all the time and apparently they're open to "requesting" flavors (usually for hand-packed containers, not fresh scoops). I'll definitely be back next time I'm over at the Marina farmers market--or anytime I'm heading over to Salinas. read more
