I had to ship a very small package from San Jose to Placerville area, approx 2.5 hours away. I was told by the employee that it should be there in 3 days. Eight days later the package has still not been delivered because for some reason UPS rerouted it to Illinois. I went back to the store to ask for a refund and was told since it not shipped express they could not guarantee when it would be delivered and had I shipped it Express they would then guarantee delivery. My package was their smallest padded envelope folded in half and it still cost me $43 to ship. The store manager told me the rules are "from corporate" and not his store. I will not use that store again, period. He didn't even bother to offer a partial refund but said he cares about his customers. I think not! read more

This is the best UPS store I have ever been to. They did a fantastic job of packing and shipping my daughter's graduation and birthday gifts. While I was there I was also able to get a passport photo. I have a few medical conditions and Nathan was very helpful in helping me to get a good photo. Excellent experience. I shipped two packages a few weeks apart that were going to Oroville California and twice the packages were sent to Illinois so instead of taking a day or two the packages took over a week to be delivered. When I called UPS customer service they said the packages we sent to Illinois as the sorting area was busy. I have to say that I was very disappointed and did not feel that UPS really cared about getting packages delivered in a timely manner. It would seem that shipping packages half way across the country twice prior to delivery due to not being able to sort them in California is costing more them than it is saving by not having the staff in California. read more

I've been going to this UPS store on meridian ave for many years and have had great service but today was different. It was Saturday Feb 28 in the mid morning. There was no one in line so they weren't busy. I asked the employee to cross off this bar code on my return package since I forgot and to put the return label on the other side so it covers my name. Instead, he just put the label on the side where I asked for him to cross off. He completely ignored what I said. I said I didn't want my name showing and wanted the label to cover it. He said it wasn't showing but It clearly was. I didn't want to argue with him so I said never mind and just left. i don't know the name of the employee but it was a male employee with dark hair and worked on the day I mentioned above. read more

Stellar service from Yeongbok. I needed flyers for my mother's memorial service and was very picky about the correct coloring of the image. Yeongbok worked with me to get the perfect colors and was so gracious when he saw that it was for a funeral. Automatically applied the AARP discount. This is the worst UPS store location. I have given them the benefit of the doubt for years because it is the closest tonmy home. The employees here are all very rude and dismissive, as if they are doing you a favor and too busy to help. This includes three employees who regularly work here. This franchise used to be owned by a very pleasant man, with kind employees, but ever since it changed management a couple years ago, I have continually had bad experiences. This is my probably my 4th visit to the store and every time it's been a breeze getting in ( ample parking spots too) , having the best in class help you with your shipping/fax et al needs and you as a customer leave extremely happy and satisfied. Today happened to be a visit with unusually big circular pot trays that I had to ship back and Phil guided me to an ingenious packaging strategy instead of spending a good $100 just for the boxes and packaging. DO NOT come to this store if you hope to have any semblance of normal service during what is listed as their open hours. I came at 4:53p on a Saturday, when their hours are listed as opened until 5pm, to the staff having closed the register and saying they cannot do any shipments because "we are getting ready to close". Additionally, the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful and NOT APOLOGETIC about this. An apology and kind customer service would go a long way since they are operating under false pretenses. I hope management is aware of this sort of shit show is occurring. Clearly they do not want any business and are more concerned about GTFO. The laziness is disgusting. WILL NOT BE COMING HERE AGAIN. Added: I see others have had the same experience. Pretty ridiculous this continues to occur despite comments from management that "this is unacceptable". Excellent service from Maria today. Needed to mail a product( in its own box) to my sister who lives in the North Bay. Maria measured the product box, quickly found a mailing box of appropriate size, added some filler packing, quickly took down the pertinent mailing info, I paid for the service and postage....in and out within 8-10 minutes. Example of how a 10+ year relationship can be pissed away in seconds... Andrea is a petulant rude "supervisor" who has no sense of customer service and frankly should be fired given her behavior and other reviews. She was willing to turn away business (overnight UPS ) because we asked for a UPS envelope to protect a photograph. Clearly eating her breakfast, calling us names (stuck up) and telling us to get out is a winning strategy. She will not get her far in life. So, after a bad experience at a closer UPS store, I took my Amazon return here. 3 staff in the store. One helping a customer. They are tucked in a corner so parking is a big hassle. I brought my large & bulky box across the parking lot. Out of breath, I set it down as soon as I could. A man walked in after me,and they quickly told him they would be right with him. Nothing was said to me. They asked to help me before the man, thank goodness or this would have been a worse review. The young adult male stood there and watched, not offering to help with the box. They also told me it had up be weighed before accepting the Amazon return. So I dragged it over to the other side, which all the staff just watched. Young man finally picked it up to put on scale. I don't like to throw my age around, but I am a senior citizen and this is not decent customer service at all. Needless to say another UPS store that I won't be using again. read more

I use this store all the time. Usually good, but exceptional for a complicated return I needed to do this week. I was returning a shipment of 99 items to a company. The 99 items came in 3 boxes but they only created one return label (and they wanted the original packing). While I tried to reach the company and figure it out, a young women came up with creative ideas and brought me a bottle of water while I waited for the company to get their management involved. I didn't manage to get the boxes shipped that day, but their help was above and beyond. Later, I was advised to put all of the 99 items into a single box (to use the single label) and another fellow was exceedingly helpful with boxing the giant shipment. read more

Stopped buy this one because I had something notarized at the UPS Store on Winchester that was not properly filled out by the Notary. the letter got sent back to me. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and asked how they could help. I told them I needed a Notary (them, sure) guy walks up to the counter (me, oh snap it's the same guy that did it wrong at the Winchester location) I explained to the Notary what happened and he looked me up in his Notary book.
